• Disabling javascript in specific block/div (containing suspect HTML) ?

  Is it, in any way, possible to disable the browsers execution of script inside a block/section/element ? My scenario is, that I'm letting my (future) users create "rich content" (using CK-editor). Content that wil later be shown to other users - with all the dangers that imply: xss, redirection, identity theft, spam and what not... • Is there a list of language only character regions for UTF-8 somewhere?

  I'm trying to analyze some UTF-8 encoded documents in a way that recognizes different language characters. For my approach to work I need to ignore non-language characters, such as control characters, mathematical symbols etc. Just trying to dissect the basic Latin section of the UTF standard has resulted in multiple regions, with characters like the division symbol being right in the middle of a range of valid Latin characters. Is there a list somewhere that identifies these regions? Or better yet, a Regex that defines the regions or something in C# that can identify the different characters?

  My DataSource is a DataTable populated from file system data in Page_Load. There is no database. How can I remove rows from the DataTable and rebind? I thought this had to be done in the GridView_RowCommand "Delete" section... if(e.CommandName == "Delete") ... When I try to access the DataRow's within //get the datatable DataTable dt = this.gridCPCP.DataSource as DataTable; // Delete the record foreach (DataRow dr in dt.Rows) { .... dt is null. • Do not use IE browser settings when using a proxy with Indy

  Hi At one of our customer sites, we have a Delphi 2007 application that makes a number of HTTPS requests using indy components. All requests are made using the proxy settings the client provides. For this to work, in IE we have to put the URL's in the trusted zones section. After a month due to security settings the trusted zones are cleared. This means we have to re-add the URLs again to make our application work. Is there a way of bypassing IE settings or using a client side HTTP stack so we do not go through the browser to make https requests? JD

  Hi, I'm currently getting started with NASM and wanted to know, how to output the contents of a register with NASM in Hexadecimal. I can output the content of eax with section .bss reg_buf: resb 4 . . . print_register: mov [reg_buf], eax mov eax, SYS_WRITE mov ebx, SYS_OUT mov ecx, reg_buf mov edx, 4 int 80h ret Let's say eax contains 0x44444444 then the output would be "DDDD". Apparently each pair of "44" is interpreted as 'D'. My ASCII table approves this. But how do I get my program to output the actual register content (0x44444444)?

  I'd like to clean up some directories after my script runs by deleting certain folders and files from the current directory if they exist. Originally, I structured the script like this: if (Test-Path Folder1) { Remove-Item -r Folder1 } if (Test-Path Folder2) { Remove-Item -r Folder2 } if (Test-Path File1) { Remove-Item File1 } Now that I have quite a few items listed in this section, I'd like to clean it up. How can I do so? Side note: The items are cleaned up before the script runs, since they are left over from the previous run in case I need to examine them.

• How to build boost::asio example?

  Hello, I'm trying to build an example of boost::asio http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_43_0/doc/html/boost_asio/example/echo/async_tcp_echo_server.cpp but without any luck. System: Windows Vista, Visual C++ 2008 Pro, Boost 1.43. I've added to the project, at VC, the include path and the additional lib path (see note #1), yet the linker gives me this error: 1>LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'libboost_system-vc90-mt-gd-1_43.lib' What do I do next? In the documentation (the "getting started" part) it says that some boost's components must be built separately. Ok. How do I do this and where do I find them? In the "getting started" page there's the section "6.1 Link From Within the Visual Studio IDE". It just tells me how to link, and not how to build it. Anyone can shed some light? Because I am definitely missing something here. Note #1: There's not "boost_1_43_0/lib" folder but a "libs". The doc needs a refresh.

MyService serviceproxy = new MyService(); When I instantiate the service proxy, I get an InvalidOperationException with the following text (translated from german): Could not find default endpoint element to the contract "ServiceName.ServiceInterface" in the service model refers client configuration section. This may be because: The application configuration file was not found or not an endpoint in the client element item is found, which corresponded to this contract. Where servicename is the name I give the service when I add it in vs2008 and ServiceInterface the interface which is automatically generated for it.

• A smoother alternative to jQuery show() and hide()

  I have a page setup with a hidden column using the jQuery show() and hide() functions to slide the column in and out. However it's kind of "clunky" and does not look very smooth when showing/hiding; in contrast I also have a section of the page using jquery UI accordion. When switching between these sections the transition looks very nice and smooth... Is there a better function than show()/hide() which looks as nice as the accordion does? (maybe the "easing" parameter can be used in the show/hide functions, but i'm not sure how to use this properly?)

• Missing prop-base file problem

  I am using Eclipse and SVNSubversion as a repository for a Java project. After updating the local repository and starting Eclipse, an error (in the Problems tab) appeared stating that a specific prop-base file was missing from the build path. Being inexperienced, I have accidentally deleted the prop-base file icon from the project build-path library section. Since then the numbers of errors have grown exponentially... What should I do? Updating the local repository and/or starting a new Eclipse project from the same source did not solve the problem, does anyone have an idea?

  I'm attempting to learn AJAX via this site. I've made it down to the section where it says "you must put the code in the onModuleLoad()" (right above listing 4). I found two areas in my Eclipse project that mention onModuleLoad(): slicr.java and the actual EntryPoint.class file in the gwt-user.jar/com.google.gwt.core.client package. When I try to add the contents of listing for to slicr.java, I get tons of cannot be resolved to a type errors and I cant add anything to EntryPoint.class as it appears to be locked from editing. I really appreciate any help someone could give me!

• Filling a screen width

  I'm really struggling to tidy up a web site I am building for someone. I've spent hours on trying to figure this out! I have limited knowledge so the code would be helpful. They want the section at the top (originally two images, now I'm trying background images and css) to fill the width of the browser- no matter what size it is. Does anyone know how to do this? Similarly, is there a setting to get text to fill 100% width of the box, no matter what? I would seriously appreciate even someone helping me move on a step! they want everything to sit tight and inline, in some browsers/screens it does but on mine it spreads out with lots of white space. www.thegees.co.uk is the site.

• Jenkins merge dev branch to master with -Xtheir stategy

  In GIT Plugin, we can merge one branch to other on work space before the starting of Build. However, plugin does not provide -Xtheir strategy. Now i want dev branch to merge on master, validate test cases and if successful then only push back to master. Problem i face is that if there is a merge conflict, i want changes of dev branch to exits (i know i can use -Xtheirs manually). [Like i can check git as Source Code Management, but can;t use its Additional behavior 'Merge Before Build' ] However when i run the required code in Execute Shell Section of Jenkins Job, It does not works as required and fails with error: fatal: dev - not something we can merge Jenkins Job Code is echo Start of Build git checkout dev git checkout master git status git merge dev --no-commit echo End of Build I have also used them with bask -l -c "", but is same problem.

• Presentation with latex, changing the width in each frame

  Hello, In my presentation, I use "\usetheme{Warsaw}" and in order to increase the usable space in each frame, I use "\useoutertheme{infolines}". In this way, the bar at the bottom of each page is equally divided between author's name, title, and date and slide number. Is there anyway to change the width of each section? For example, I need more space for the title compared to author's name or date. Any comment is highly appreciated. • Books on OpenGL ES targeted towards the iPhone

  There are a few posts on this site about OpenGL and the iPhone. Some even on books but I think you'll find this question is a bit different. I've searched and searched and have come to the conclusion that there are currently no books that specifically cover OpenGL ES on the iPhone platform. There are books that cover OpenGL ES [2.0] (note: the linked book covers OpenGL ES 2.0 but the iPhone uses OpenGL ES 1.1 which, I understand, is not backward compatible)... but they only have a small section for the iPhone (if any). What I want to know, is if anybody knows of any books that are forthcoming that specifically cover OpenGL ES 1.1 on the iPhone?

• When to override OnError?

  I'm looking into re-working and simplifying our error handling in an application I support. We currently have all of our pages inheriting from a base class we created, which in turn obviously inherits from System.Web.UI.Page. Within this base class, the OnError method is currently being overridden, and in turn calling MyBase.OnError, and then calling one of our custom logging methods. I don't see any benefit of overriding the OnError method, and I think it would be better to let the Application_Error method in the Global.asax take care of the unhandled exception (logging it) and then the customErrors section in the config would trigger a process to redirect the user. Looking online it looks like people override this method quite frequently, but I don't see a need to and this article from MSDN makes me think the same.

• Crystal Report Function for converting Seconds to Timespan format.

  I have a crystal report where it shows the Agent's activities throughout the day with a pie chart. In the details section it is displaying: Activity [string] StartedAt [DateTime] EndedAt [DateTime] Duration [The difference between EndedAt and StartedAt in seconds - Integer] Report data is GroupedBy Activity and summarized by Duration. Currently Duration is shown in seconds but I need to format it 02h:30m:22s:15ms. For that I wrote a custom function in Crystal Report in the Formula Workshop editor as follows, but it looks like the syntax is not right (Error message on keyword Long: "A variable type (for example, 'String') is missing."). Can someone help?   I'm one of those people who can't get anything done without a to-do list. If it isn't on the list it doesn't exist. Notepad Method: When I'm programming I've been keeping notepad open with a list of to-do's for my current project.
