• Stored procedure for selecting multiple records

  I need to select records say 2000 from a table with a matching timestamp from c# .net code. Eg: SELECT * FROM ITEMDATA_TABLE WHERE ITEMNAME='Item1' and TimeStamp='2010-04-26 17:15:05.667' The above query has to execute for 2000 items more for the same timestamp. for this we can use SELECT * FROM ITEMDATA_TABLE WHERE ITEMNAME in ('Item1','Item2','Item3','Item4',......) AND TimeStamp='2010-04-26 17:15:05.667' from SQL Server Management Studio. I have tried appending all Item names to one string variable and giving it as a parameter to the stored procedure,but it resulted into a wrong concatenation. How can I do this as a stored procedure executing from the .net code? Can anyone suggest me/correct me in doing this? Thanks & Regards Padma

  I'm currently trying to write a stored procedure that can compute the biweekly periods when a date is passed in as a parameter. The business logic: the first Monday of the year is first day of the biweekly period. For example in 2010: period period_start period_end 1 2010-01-04 2010-01-17 2 2010-01-18 2010-01-31 3 2010-02-01 2010-02-14 .... 26 2010-12-20 2011-01-02 Passing today's date of 2010-12-31 will return 26, 2010-12-20 and 2011-01-02.   I am using VisualWebDeveloperExpress2008 with Access as the membership provider. I have some cases where I want users to edit their own data. This would involve a query where the UserId should equal the UserID of the user who is using the site. I am expecting to use WHERE UserId = ?, but I have not found out where to direct "?". The IDE gives several choices, but I am uncertain which to choose. This, while it looks promising does not work: <SelectParameters> <asp:ProfileParameter Name="UserID" PropertyName="UserId" Type="Int32" /> </SelectParameters> What is best to use for the Select Parameter?

Now I need it to give the xml back to me as a string (rather than save it to a file). I am looking into it, but I have not figured it out yet. I thought this might be really easy for someone familiar with these objects. If not I will figure it out eventually.

  I was looking at a sample of how to setup Unity IoC with MVC, and noticed someone who recommended the approach of having the parameters of Func. • Struts 2: redirect-action ? From on page to another and back again.

  Hello, i have a jsp page that has a submit button. This button is linked with another jsp page. So lets assume my stuts file looks like this: B.jsp So now the submit button being on page "A.jsp" will take me to B.jsp. This works. The problem is that i want to do the following: press on the submit button on page A.jsp , go to B.jsp where i will press again a button and go back to A.jsp . The problem is that to page B.jsp go many pages, so B.jsp has to know when pressing the submit button to which page will take me back , in this case A.jsp again. So in a few words, B.jsp has to know from which page i came from so that i can go back again by pressing a submit button (this could be a parameter that would be sent back to A.jsp again, but does not really matter at the current point) A.jsp - B.jsp - A.jsp C.jsp - B.jsp - C.jsp

• How to implement message passing in GNUradio?

  I need to implement message passing, my idea is to make some sort of message source (I inherit from public gr_sync_block) that works as a controller for another block (it has to send a message each 6 minutes). I read that is necessary to inherit from gnuradio::block -and by the way, installing grextras is mandatory-. In the .h file I added the #include and inherited from block"class JDFM_API jdfm_control : public gr_sync_block, public gnuradio::block". I know that I have redefine some things like the gnuradio::block constructor but I dont know what msg_signature is, I also don't get the relation between block's parameters and work parameter, the last thing that I am not sure is if I still can use gnuradio-companion if I create a block like this. I haven't been able to find a simple example of messages implementation. If anyone can guide me or show me an example, it would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

• Can I use a single instance of a delegate to start multiple Asynchronous Requests?

  Just wondered if someone could clarify the use of BeginInvoke on an instance of some delegate when you want to make multiple asynchronous calls since the MSDN documentation doesn't really cover/mention this at all. What I want to do is something like the following: MyDelegate d = new MyDelegate(this.TargetMethod); List<IAsyncResult> results = new List<IAsyncResult>(); //Start multiple asynchronous calls for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++) { results.Add(d.BeginInvoke(someParams, null, null)); } //Wait for all my calls to finish WaitHandle.WaitAll(results.Select(r => r.AsyncWaitHandle).ToArray()); //Process the Results The question is can I do this with one instance of the delegate or do I need an instance of the delegate for each individual call? Given that EndInvoke() takes an IAsyncResult as a parameter I would assume that the former is correct but I can't see anything in the documentation to indicate either way.

  If I am writing up a class with more than 1 constructor parameter like: class A{ public A(Dependency1 d1, Dependency2 d2, ...){} } I usually create a "argument holder"-type of class like: class AArgs{ public Dependency1 d1 { get; private set; } public Dependency2 d2 { get; private set; } ... } and then: class A{ public A(AArgs args){} } Typically, using a DI-container I can configure the constructor for dependencies & resolve them & so there is minimum impact when the constructors need to change. Is this considered an anti-pattern and/or any arguments against doing this?

  I have a list of links that all go to a google maps api. the links already have the daddr (destination) parameter in them as static. I am using Geo-Location to find the users position and I want to add the saddr (source address) to the links once I get the data. so basically I will need to add something like &saddr=50.1234567,-50.03452 at the tail end of all the links pointing to google maps All the links have a class called directions-link and from this page I have figured out how to change them: $("a.directions-link").attr("href", "http://www.google.com/"); However I only want to append my value to the end of the href without changing what the href already is.   I have a repository method that accepts an order by parameter in the form: public IEnumerable<TEntity> Get<TEntity>(Expression<Func<TEntity,string>> orderBy) Now that works fine when trying to sort by a property of type string, var entities = rep.Get(x => x.Name); but what if i want to sort by double or int or any other type. Doing something like var entities = rep.Get(x => x.Price); obviously throws a compile error saying I can't convert double to string. How can I make this more generic so I can sort by any property in my entity, or at least the properties where the type implements IComparable or something similar?

  I have a problem with an animation in jQuery using ajax. On the click of an button (actually an tag), I call a ajax method, and have the following written inside the success parameter: success: function(msg) { $('.ContentsMainRight').children().fadeOut(500, function() { $('.ContentsMainRight').html(msg.d); $('.ContentsMainRight').children().fadeIn(1000); }); }, This have the following result. The contents of a div fade out over 500ms as it's supposed to. Then the html contents of the div are swapped, but then the last part did not work as I hoped. The html returned by the ajax method include some text inside a tag, and a image inside a tag. The result is that the text is automatically displayed instantly with no fadein, but the img that is put fades in over 1 second. Why is the text and image treated differently? -Daemon

  In my objective-c program, I need to open a URL in Safari no matter what the system's default browser is. That means that this won't work, because it could launch Firefox or whatever other browser: NSWorkspace * ws = [NSWorkspace sharedWorkspace]; [ws openURL: url]; I think I'm close with this: [ws launchAppWithBundleIdentifier: @"com.apple.Safari" options: NSWorkspaceLaunchWithoutActivation additionalEventParamDescriptor: NULL launchIdentifier: nil]; only need to figure out how to pass in the URL as parameter...
