    Hi guys, I've a lot of websites (100+ directories) I want to create a unique zip with only public subdirectory. My structure now is like: - Site 1 --- app --- tmp --- log --- public - Site 2 --- app --- tmp --- log --- public - ... 100+ dirs ... Now I need a unique zip and then after unzip it I want to see this structure: - Site 1 --- public - Site 2 --- public - others Any suggestion how I can do that with linux commands zip/tar ?     I'm having an issue with creating a submodule in my project. If I create the submodule directly in the repository root, everything works fine. If the submodule is any deeper, the repository does not get cloned. For example, this works as expected: git submodule add git://someproject.com/.git someproject However, when I run the following command, the project is added to .gitmodules and an empty repository is created, but no code is pulled down (even after a git submodule update --init).     I have an application using OpenLayers, Extjs and GeoExt. My application runs fine, but I need it to be placed inside an IFrame in another page. When doing this, my toolbar becomes responseless in Internet Explorer. The cause is Ext.QuickTips.init();. Comment out this line and everything works fine - except the quick tips ofcourse =) But why is it causing problems? Is it because I'm using it wrong, placing it wrong or just because it doesn't like IE and IFrames?   • Odd problem with IE8 and z-index CSS property

    I not been able to put one DIV over his parent DIV in Internet Explorer. With Firefox is working as suposed to. The odd part is that if I open the html file directly in IE, everything works fine. But if I upload to the server and open from there, the div is hidden underneath his parent. I've tried several z-index combinations and none works.     Hello, I have some troubles with jQuery. I have a set of Divs with .square classes. Only one of them is supposed to have an .active class. This .active class may be activated/de-activated onClick. Here is my code : jQuery().ready(function() { $(".square").not(".active").click(function() { //initialize $('.square').removeClass('active'); //activation $(this).addClass('active'); // some action here... }); $('.square.active').click(function() { $(this).removeClass('active'); }); }); My problem is that the first function si called, even if I click on an active .square, as if the selector was not working.   • Can't get directory listing on my Apache to work.

    Hi, I'm having trouble enabling the directory listing on apache. I did it a few weeks ago but had to reinstall cause my Wubi ran out of space, and now I can't get it to work and it's driving me crazy. I have a folder /home/joon/Dropbox/Projects/apache, which I want to set as the root for my apache. Here's the first lines of the 'default' file in the sites-available folder: <VirtualHost *:8888> ServerAdmin webmaster@localhost DocumentRoot /home/joon/Dropbox/Projects/apache <Directory /home/joon/Dropbox/Projects/apache> Options +Indexes FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None The rest is unchanged. Ports.conf is set to Listen 8888. I thought the +Indexes should do it, but I must have overlooked something. I get a 403, forbidden. "You don't have permission to access / on this server." If I input the url of an image, http://127.0.0.1:8888/joon/bin/1chart.png, it displays, but no directory listing. Please help.

    I have a save-plots function which I call it in my final command of behavior space to export selected plots, I could create unique names for plots so they don't replace each other, for example my output file name for one of the plots is like this: DeathRates, PS true, HCHA false 100,true.csv Let FileNameDeathRates ( word "D: /Results/" "DeathRates, " "PS "PS? ", HCHA " HCHA? MPS "," CV? ".csv" ) So far is good, but I want is to have a directory with name of the experiment and export all plots of that experiment in that directory for example: Let DirName( word "D:/Results/" "PS "PS? ", HCHA " HCHA? MPS "," CV? ) Netlogo already exports plots with proper name and I just want the directory name to be different , and of course prior to the experiment the directory does not exist so the directory should be created first , I could not find a command to create a directory in netlogo without pathdir extension.     I want to create an installer for a game which allows for an icon to be put in the Games Explorer for Vista and Windows 7. I have created the GDF, then built the script for project and obtained the .h, .gdf and .rc files. But I can't compile (using Visual Studio 2010) the .rc file into an executable to be used after that in order to create the installer. I get the following error after I set the executable path: "Could not load file or assembly'Microsoft.VisualStudio.HpcDebugger.Impl, Version 10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublickKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

    First off, you should know I'm a Ubuntu newbie who has become passionate since my strangely low-priced Dell computer showed up with Ubuntu loaded on it and it could do almost everything I need from a computer. But now I've got a problem. I know, it's like asking how to use a cassette player on your computer, but in South Korea EVERY website is made to work with exclusively on MS Explorer PLUS Active X, which Microsoft finally killed with 9. Hence, I have to use 8, as there are some Korean sites I need to access for searching, banking, etc. So I see that the way to go is to load PlayOnLinux, but then I it tells me to delete these. Do I really have to do that? Should I just hit "Install Anyway"? Or would that be just asking for trouble?

    I have a small ARM box running ownCloud in my house, and a domain bound to my DSL router with Dynamic DNS. This works well as I can configure the ownCloud client to use the domain name, which works both in the house and when I'm on the road. However, at home I would like to let my laptop and my server talk to each other directly on the local network, rather than as if they were talking over the Internet (including DNS resolution for my domain name, routing all traffic through the DSL machinery etc.). I know that I can set a hostname alias for my domain in /etc/hosts - the problem is that I want this alias to only be active when I'm in the home network, while in all other cases DNS resolution should be used as normal. Is this possible?
