  • Moq how do you test internal methods?

    Hi, Told by my boss to use Moq and that is it. I like it but it seems that unlike MSTest or mbunit etc... you cannot test internal methods So I am forced to make public some internal implementation in my interface so that i can test it. Am I missing something? Can you test internal methods using Moq? Thanks a lot

    why does the following js expression: "test1 foo bar test2".replace(/foo.bar/, "$'") result in the following string? "test1 test2 test2" is the $' in the replace string some sort of control code for including everything after the match??? this behavior was screwing with me most of the day. can anyone explain this? thanks a lot ps- this is the case in all browsers i've tested

  • Why not use Git?

    A lot of people like git (in particular this guy) against other SCMs such as SVN, but many projects, even new ones, are set up using alternative SCMs. Furthermore, Google Code still does not support it (although many of their large open source projects use it). My question is: what are the reasons for not using git in any project, whether it be personal or collaborative? Maybe I've just been brainwashed by this guy, but I can't see any area in which other SCMs excel over git.

  • Testing the context in asp.net mvc

    I got pretty experienced with testing controllers, my question here is though, aren't we supposed to test the data context as well, and how ? I mean, there are a lot of relationships and constraints coming from the DB that simply testing controllers does not cover. On the other hand, testing against the DB is not considered a good practice - what then ? Simply testing without db.SubmitChanges() or what ?

I would like to send a logout message to my mac when I quit the iPhone app. I tried to send it on the : -applicationWillTerminate methode but it seems that the application shut down my service before.     I like to format all my HTML with tabs for neatness and readability. Recently I started using PHP and now I have a lot of HTML output that comes from in between PHP tags. Those output lines all line up one the left side of the screen. I have to use /n to make a line go to the next. Is there anything like that for forcing tabs, or any way to have neat HTML output coming from PHP?

  • How to debug MinGW32-make batch files?

    I'm having some difficulties building up some cross-platform Makefiles, and I'm getting errors from processes called by mingw32-make that don't make the problem clear. I've tried calling mingw32-make with "-d", and I get a lot of debug output, but the actual program invocations are hidden in temporary batch files that are immediately deleted. Is there any way to keep these batch files around, so that I can actually see what mingw32-make is doing under the hood, and fix what I assume is my problem?

    I use a lot of UINavigationControllers in my app. I am using a UIColor to set the tintcolor of the navigationBar. This works as expected, but I am trying to find an easy way to set a default tintcolor for all UINavigationControllers. What is the best way to do this? I use Rails 3.0.0beta A lot of files can be uploaded at the same time, and the cost (from a performance point of view) of an upload is quite heavy, my app will be busy handling uploads all the time! Maybe a solution is to upload directly to s3, but I still need a submit to my app, at least to store the file's name. I'm wondering what is the best solution?

    I want to track the workspace of eclipse by source control so that important settings can be backed up. However, there are a lot of kind of *.index inside the .metadata folder of workspace. Some information are important, for example Mylyn repository, but some information is merely cached files and thus, doesn't make sense to me for being tracked. In short, what files inside eclipse workspace that should be tracked so that I can restore the working workspace after problems (like meta data file deleted, etc.)

I like GitHub a lot, but there's also a long list of Google Code features I really miss. Is it possible/feasible to host a single project on both?   • Are there any 3rd Party libraries for image processing in C#?

    Just wondering if there's anything out there to help make my project a lot easier to deal with. I'm working on a program that uses the Wiimote and infrared pen (mapped to the mouse) to manipulate images in real time and I'd much rather not have to use all my time figuring out how to make the program resize and rotate images efficiently with the least amount of distortion... I haven't really found anything when searching. Anybody know of any libraries that can help me?

  • Is it possible to transcode audio in C# using DirectSound?

    I want to transcode a lot of audio from its source format to PCM without resampling or messing with the sample size. I figure if Windows Media Player can play the file and it doesn't use a legacy ACM codecs it must be using DirectSound to do so (this is on Windows XP and Windows Server 2k3). So is it possible to access DirectSound from C# and do so? I've tried searching the web but all the examples have been about playback which I have no interest in doing.
