  • EF 4 - associations with keys that dont match

    We're using POCOs and have 2 entities: Item and ItemContact. There are 1 or more contacts per item. Item has as a primary key: ItemID LanguageCode ItemContact has: ItemID ContactID We cant add an association with a referrential constraint as they have differing keys. There isnt a strict primary / foreign key as languageCode isnt in ItemContact and ContactID isnt in Item. How can we go about mapping this with an association for contacts for an item if there isnt a direct link but I still want to see the contacts for an item? One of the entities originates in a database view so it is not possible to add foreign keys to the database Thanks Stephen Ward

    I'm looking to develop a signature control for the iPad. I haven't really done this before, but I think this involves creating an area to draw, the draw itself and the storage. Any tips on how to get started will be great! I'm also looking at using a stylus to create a signature. Are there any styluses that are specifically built for the iPad?     When debugging a project in Visual Studio 2005, I have recently noticed a brief appearance of the "Object Test Bench" window. This window appears and then disappears after less than a second and does not look like the normal "Object Test Bench" window one sees when not debugging, as it looks like this: I would like to stop this window appearing and have tried the following: Closing all Object Bench Test windows when not debugging Resetting Visual Studio to default settings (devenv /ResetSettings) Any other ideas?

The idea is to give the user an option to supply a database-connection string and then to build their a database with the structure that the application needs. The database need to independent - it means that it needs to work with any database that are supported by NHibernate.     Hi, I have just installed the ACL and Content Access module. Imedietly after enabling them I was asked to rebuild the permissions. All perfectly normal I am told. However, I set the 'rebuild' permissions page running about 40 minutes ago and it still says 'Initializing'. How long should it take? Am I doing something wrong?

  • How to extract hhp file from a chm file

    Hi, I have an A.chm file for my windows application which runs as expected. When I decompile it using HTML workshop I get set of html files, .hhc file, .hhk file. When I compile another file B.chm from these extracted files without changing any of the files.((I want to add more html contents to this file but looks like I am losing some information after decompiling)) The output file I get is 72K where as the original file was 75K. B.chm's contents look all file when viewed in the chm viewer but the behavior is lost when when used with the application. After reading around I found that if .hhp can be extracted from a .chm file then it can be re-constructed as it is without losing any mapping or aliases. Is that true? How can I extract .hhp file from a .chm file? Thanks, Sam

I am looking something similar to Combobox in ExtJS except values have to appear when user clicks down arrow, like in normal dropdown. Now when I click on the log in link, it shows the username and also the normal login view, saying user is logged in. So, what's wrong?

    I am using PBE encryption to encrypt and decrypt some text on an Android application but I get the BadPaddingException: with the "pad block corrupted" message when I use the wrong private key to decrypt the text. My question, since I am not well versed with encryption in Java, is if this is the normal behavior of the encryption API, because I need to do some logic in the case when the wrong key is entered, but I do not know the private key, nor do I store it anywhere (storing just the encrypted and decrypted check text).   • H.264 over RTP - Identify SPS and PPS Frames

    I have a raw H.264 Stream from an IP Camera packed in RTP frames. I want to get raw H.264 data into a file so I can convert it with ffmpeg. So when I want to write the data into my raw H.264 file I found out it has to look like this: 00 00 01 [SPS] 00 00 01 [PPS] 00 00 01 [NALByte] [PAYLOAD RTP Frame 1] // Payload always without the first 2 Bytes -> NAL [PAYLOAD RTP Frame 2] [... until PAYLOAD Frame with Mark Bit received] // From here its a new Video Frame 00 00 01 [NAL BYTE] [PAYLOAD RTP Frame 1] .... So I get the SPS and the PPS from the Session Description Protocol out of my preceding RTSP communication. Additionally the camera sends the SPS and the PPSin two single messages before starting with the video stream itself. So I capture the messages in this order: 1. Preceding RTSP Communication here ( including SDP with SPS and PPS ) 2. RTP Frame with Payload: 67 42 80 28 DA 01 40 16 C4 // This is the SPS 3. RTP Frame with Payload: 68 CE 3C 80 // This is the PPS 4. RTP Frame with Payload: ... // Video Data Then there come some Frames with Payload and at some point a RTP Frame with the Marker Bit = 1. This means ( if I got it right) that I have a complete video frame. Afer this I write the Prefix Sequence ( 00 00 01 ) and the NALfrom the payload again and go on with the same procedure. Now my camera sends me after every 8 complete Video Frames the SPS and the PPS again. ( Again in two RTP Frames, as seen in the example above ). I know that especially the PPS can change in between streaming but that's not the problem. My questions are now: 1. Do I need to write the SPS/PPS every 8th Video Frame? If my SPS and my PPS don't change it should be enough to have them written at the very beginning of my file and nothing more? 2. How to distinguish between SPS/PPS and normal RTP Frames? In my C++ Code which parses the transmitted data I need make a difference between the RTP Frames with normal Payload an the ones carrying the SPS/PPS. How can I distinguish them? Okay the SPS/PPS frames are usually way smaller, but that's not a save call to rely on. Because if I ignore them I need to know which data I can throw away, or if I need to write them I need to put the 00 00 01 Prefix in front of them. ? Or is it a fixed rule that they occur every 8th Video Frame?

I'm seeing between 36 and 66MB/s of throughput, which seems somewhat slow to me. What are normal throughput ranges for binary data on a local socket connection?

    I'm using the Mate framework for Flex and communicating with a server running C#. I'm having trouble mapping C# classes to ActopnScript classes. I've got it working fine for simple classes and built in datatypes. If I have a C# method in my API that returns a API.Foo.Result what name do I use for my RemoteClass alias? Do I need to make a separate ActionScript class for each variation of the API.Foo.Result? How do I call C# method that takes a class as a parameter? Making an ActionScript class with members with the same names doesn't seem to work. What is the best way to handle C# classes that contain arrays of objects? The seem to get converted to ArrayCollections of Object. Is there a way to get them converted to an ArrayCollection of my specific class?

    Hi, I am new to IIS 7.5. I have an application in asp.net 2.0, which has its own custom URL rewriting mechanism. All the requests on the browser with .htm will be mapped to .aspx. It works fine on IIS 6, but somehow I could not get it working on IIS 7.5. On IIS 6, I go to Application PropertiesConfigurationMappings and add a new extension .htm with the executable as aspnet_isapi.dll On IIS 7.5 i added a handler mapping, with path as .htm and executable as aspnet_ispai.dll But the request does not even come to global.asax. If i try the URL with .aspx extension, pages load properly. Any idea how to set up custom mappings in iis 7.5?

    In my grails application, some of my domain classes will never be changed by Users. However, some maintenance work is sometimes necessary, and administrator should be able to create/edit few instances from time to time (let's say twice a year). I would like to set a read-only 2nd level cache strategy for these domain classes (static mapping = { cache usage: 'read-only' } ) AND I would like to be able to 'disable' (in very particular situations) the read-only strategy in order to udate some instances via Grails scaffolding edit view. Is it possible? What do you advise me to do? EDIT: The solution I am implementing is a mix of Pascal and Burt answers (see comments). Both answers are great and helpful. So I got a dilemna for choosing the accepted answer! Anyway, thank you.

  • Is it possible to searchusing type information in visual studio

    It comes up from time to time and I'm wondering of it's possible to use type info when searching in visual studio, or is there a plugin that includes this? I'd like to search for the phrase "x == " or "x.ToString();" where x is of type 'Person'. The normal regex searches are strictly searching the text as opposed to the content and I figured out a long time ago that any thought I have is never the first.
