  Hi, I am using JNI to call my C++ function from Java. One of the C++ function's arguments is jobject thiz (as far as I know, all JNI native functions have this argument). The function takes quite long to complete and I want to report progress back to the jobject thiz Java object, so that I can show the progress to the user. How can I call jobject's methods from C++?

• Objective C: Include class and call method

  I have built a class which has a few methods in it, once of which returns an array, lets call this class A. I have a second class, class B, which I would like to use to call the method from class A. But, now how do I call that method from class A and store what is returned in a var in class B? Do I have to initiate the class? I have made sure to include the .h file from class A into class B. Thanks for helping a newbie.

• Can the .NET MethodInfo cache be cleared or disabled?

  Per MSDN, calling Type.GetMethods() stores reflected method information in a MemberInfo cache so the expensive operation doesn't have to be performed again. I have an application that scans assemblies/types, looking for methods that match a given specification. The problem is that memory consumption increases significantly (especially with large numbers of referenced assemblies) since .NET hangs onto the method metadata. Is there any way to clear or disable this MemberInfo cache?

  Currently I am using Microsoft Sync Framework to synchronize databases. I need to gather information per record which is inserted/updated/deleted by Microsoft Sync Framework and do something with this information. The sync speed can go over 50.000 records per minute. So that means my additional code need to be very lightweight otherwise it will be a huge performance penalty. Microsoft Sync Framework raises an SyncProgress event for each record. I am mainly focused on the OnSyncProgress method and how to call the SyncInformation methods. So my questions are: What is the most efficient approach? What is the most in-efficient approach? Is there a better way than using a switch in OnSyncProgress?

  Hi, I have need to communicate between two iframes of the same domain, which live inside a parent page on a different domain that I have no control over. This is a Facebook app and the basic layout is this apps.facebook.com/myapp L iframe1 (src='mysite.com/foo') L iframe2 (src='mysite.com/bar') I need frame1 to talk to frame2, but in Opera I can't access window.parent.frames['frame2'] to do the usual cross-domain methods (updating location.hash for example) Is there an alternate way to accomplish this in Opera? For example when I try to select a campaign with a CampaignID, I have to send CampaignID as parameter. These all Database methods do take return type as DataTable but different number of parameters. public static DataTable GetCampaignDetails(int CampaignID) { DataTable dtCampaigns = new DataTable(); Campaigns Campaigns = new Campaigns(); dtCampaigns = Campaigns.Select(CampaignID); return dtCampaigns; } At the end, I want to pass a Delegate to my first GetCampaignList Method as parameter which will decide which Database method to invoke. I dont want to pass DataTable as parameter as it is newbie programming. Could you pls help me learn some more advance features. I searched over it and got to Func< delegate but could not come up with a solution.

  I have two classes: public abstract class AbstractFoobar { ... } and public class ConcreteFoobar extends AbstractFoobar { ... } I have corresponding test classes for these two classes: public class AbstractFoobarTest { ... } and public class ConcreteFoobarTest extends AbstractFoobarTest { ... } When I run ConcreteFoobarTest (in JUnit), the annotated @Test methods in AbstractFoobarTest get run along with those declared directly on ConcreteFoobarTest because they are inherited. Is there anyway to skip them?
