    Hi All, I am planing to add search feature in my web application. Now the items that will be searched are strored in a Relational database. In order to achieve a full text search engine I have following doubts : For database based search engine should I use just lucene or some other utility based on Luncene like Solr, luSql, Compass etc. In case of Solr, can it be embeded in to the web applcation rather than deploying it as a seaparate WAR.     Do you know of any utility class/library, that can convert Map into URL-friendly query string? Example: I have a map: - "param1"=12, - "param2"="cat" I want to get: param1=12&param2=cat. PS. I know I can easily write it myself, I am just surprised that I cannot find it anywhere (I checked Apache Commons so far).

I'd like to implement an efficient Utility method with a signature like public Object[] removeElements(Object[] object, int[] elementsToRemove) {...} The Object[] that is returned should be a new Object of size myObjects.length - elemToRemove.length

    We have eight Xeon (i7) cores and 16 gig of RAM on our SSIS box. We have about 200 image files we want to convert using a command line utility every day. Currently the process is using Adobe Photoshop and droplets (very manual, taking upwards of two hours a day) Using SSIS hot folders, is there a way to execute up to eight conversions at once? Is there any way to tell a process completed or execute code upon it's completion?

    Just found the MIG Base 64 utility but its over 6 years old since its last release. It would appear to be quicker than the Apache commons equivalent but I have yet to confirm by writing up an actual test. Has anyone verified its correctness which is always a worry. If someone takes a look at the methods, please note i a referring to the non fast methods which make assumptions trading possible correctness for pure speed.

    I have created a database model in Visio Professional (2003). I know that the Enterprise version has the ability to create a DB in Sql Server based on the data in Visio. I do not have the option to install Enterprise. Aside from going through the entire thing one table and relationship at a time and creating the whole database from scratch, by hand, can anyone recommend any tool/utility/method for converting the visio database model into a Sql Script that can be used to create a new DB in Sql Server?

    Let's say that I have the following text: in = "one aaa two bbbb three cccc" I would like to parse this into a group of variables that contain notworking = ["one", "two", "three"] v1,v2,v3 = in.split(notworking) I know that the example above won't work, but is there some utility in python that would allow me to use this sort of approach? For example, I have an Iterator[Foo] and I need an Iterable[Foo], so currently I am: val foo1: Iterator[Foo] = .... val foo2: Iterable[Foo] = new Iterable[Foo] { def elements = foo1 } This seems ugly and unnecessary.
