  I am writing a blackberry application where i want to store the data returned by a web service in my BB device.Earlier i was going to use SQLite for storing the data in mobile but as i googled and also did programming using SQLite and found that some BB devices dont support SQLite library and fail to create the database.Then i decided to keep the data returned by webservice in a XML format on my BB device. I just want to know is there any method or way in blackberry through which i can parse the data stored in xml,update it,or directly access a particular record stored in the xml instead of traversing the whole xml n times and finding the matched record. Please guide me as i am new to storing data in BB device.Is the approach which i am thinking to store data in XML right or shall i use something else Thanks in advance Yogesh Chaudhari

• WCF Publish/Subscribe and using callbacks to send data to specific users

  Hello thanks for looking, I'm working on a project at the moment and have become a little stuck. I'm creating a client server app, which allows a client to subscribe to the server to have messages forwarded to it. The issue I'm having is that when the client subscribes I wish for them to only recieve updates that relate to them. The system basically passes messages from a SQL server DB which the server monitors. When a new message is recieved the server should only forward the message to the clients that it applys to, based on whos logged on the client machine. I've had a look and found code samples which sign up for messages to be broadcast across all clients who have subscribed, but not any that show how to identify individual clients and if messages apply to them. If anyone could help or point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. • Mixing Silverlight-Specific System.Xml.Linq dll with Non-Silverlight System.Xml.Linq dll

  I have a Logic layer that references Silverlight's System.Xml.Linq dll and a GUI that is in WPF (hence using the non-Silverlight System.Xml.Linq dll). When I attempt to pass an XElement from GUI project to a method in the Logic project, I am getting (basically) "XElement is not of type XElement" errors. To complicate matter, I am unable to edit the Logic layer project. The Non-Silverlight DLL is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\v3.5\System.Xml.Linq.dll THe Silverlight DLL is at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v3.0\Libraries\Client\System.Xml.Linq.dll I am new to C# but I'm fairly sure my issue is that I am referencing different DLL's to access the System.Xml.Linq namespace. I attempted to replace my non-Silverlight System.Xml.Linq.dll with the Silverlight's System.Xml.Linq.dll, but received assembly errors. Is there any way to resolve this short of scrapping my WPF GUI project and creating a Silverlight project?

My problem is that I can't get the plugin to 'see' the dlls, it just searches the launching applications startup folder, but not the folder where the plugin was loaded from. I have tried several methods: 1. Changing the Current Directory to the plugins folder. 2. Using an inter-op call to SetDllDirectory 3. Adding an entry in the registry to point to a folder where I want it to look (see code below) None of these methods work. What am I missing? As I load the dll plugin dynamically, it does not seem to obey any of the above mentioned methods. What else can I try?   I need a regex pattern which matches such strings that DO NOT end with such a sequence: \.[A-z0-9]{2,} by which I mean the examined string must not have at its end a sequence of a dot and then two or more alphanumeric characters. For example, a string /home/patryk/www and also /home/patryk/www/ should match desired pattern and /home/patryk/images/DSC002.jpg should not. I suppose this has something to do with lookarounds (look aheads) but still I have no idea how to make it. Any help appreciated.

  Hi I am trying to get RecursiveDirectoryIterator class using a extension on the FilterIterator to work but for some reason it is iterating on the root directory only. my code is this. class fileTypeFilter extends FilterIterator { public function __construct($path) { parent::__construct(new RecursiveDirectoryIterator($path)); } public function accept() { $file = $this->getInnerIterator()->current(); return preg_match('/\.php/i', $file->getFilename()); } } $it = new RecursiveDirectoryIterator('./'); $it = new fileTypeFilter($it); foreach ($it as $file) { echo $file; } my directory structure is something like this. -Dir1 --file1.php --file2.php -Dir2 --file1.php etc etc But as I said before the class is not recursively iterating over the entire directory structure and is only looking at the root. Question is, how do use a basic RescursiveDirectoryIterator to display folders and then run the FilterIterator to only show the php files in those directorys? Cheers

• The vps is running, but the domain name is down ?

  Hi, i created a vps on vps.net and installed CentOS 5.4 x64 LAMP , i choosed the root password and the server start running, i added my domain name in the vps domain section, also i added the two name servers on where i bought the domain name. the problem is that i still can't access the domain, so i think that's because a mistake in the DNS template that is created automatically by the vps provider, here is it : TYPE | NAME | TARGET | MX PRIORITY | ACTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------------- OA @ dns1.vps.net.   I'm trying to extract text from PDF files using an iFilter. The Adobe PDF iFilter that is distributed with Adobe Reader is awful, returning HRESULT E_FAIL messages for many PDF documents. The FoxIt PDF IFilter works beautifully on virtually all of the PDFs I've been using for testing. The problem is that every time the Adobe Updater runs, it replaces the awesome FoxIt IFilter with the crappy Adobe IFilter. I've been using the LoadIFilter method to get the registered IFilter for PDF files. Is there a way to force the Win32 API to load the FoxIt IFilter instead of the Adobe IFilter?   I'm trying to put together a basic HTML scraper for a variety of scientific journal websites, specifically trying to get the abstract or introductory paragraph. The current journal I'm working on is Nature, and the article I've been using as my sample can be seen at http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v463/n7284/abs/nature08715.html. I can't get the abstract out of that page, however. I'm searching for everything between the <p class="lead">...</p> tags, but I can't seem to figure out how to isolate them.   Hi I'm trying to get my build to trigger only when i create a Tag in Mercurial. The way im trying to do this is by creating an additional Build Config (Tag Conf) for my project where I set the VCS build trigger to: +:/.hgtags --Trigger only when tags are updated -:. --Do not trigger on any other files Whenever i push a changeset (without a Tag) in the overview my build conf (Tag Conf) says "X Pending", i suspect this is the changesets. And when I create a Tag in Mercurial, a build i is triggered and the X Pending goes away. Then all there is left for me todo is to update build/rev numbers in AssemblyInfo (somehow) and deploy the Artifacts(somehow). Question: Is this the correct way to do this or are there another/better way to do this? (Im using sln2010 runner + NUnit + Mercurial) Kind Regards

Now it became 1 , abc.txt , 2 , def.doc , 3 , flyaway.txt, 0, Superman.txt, 0 , Spiderman.txt What i am doing here is that this csv string is paased into SP where its splitted and inserted to db.   Hey guys, I'm trying to write a shell script under linux, which lists all folders (recursively) with a certain name and no symlink pointing to it. For example I have /home/htdocs/cust1/typo3_src-4.2.11 /home/htdocs/cust2/typo3_src-4.2.12 /home/htdocs/cust3/typo3_src-4.2.12 Now I want to go through all subdirectories of /home/htdocs and find those folders typo3_*, that are not pointed to from somewhere.   I have bought a domain from 123-reg.co.uk and have successfully pointed it to the IP Address of my Linode VPS so that going to the domain serves up the pages from the Apache server running on the VPS. The instructions I followed to do this are : Now, I am trying to get the domain's mail handled by Google Apps for Business. I have tried updating the MX records at Linode following this tutorial : http://library.linode.com/email/google-mail And also followed the instructions to update the MX Records in 123-reg's control panel : I am slightly confused now. Where should I be adding the MX records? In my domain registrar's control panel or in Linode's VPS? Both have options to update the MX records.

• LogonUser using LOGON32_LOGON_NEW_CREDENTIALS works against remote untrusted domain machine

  So between the two machines, there is no trust - they are in different domains. I've successfully connected to the remote machine using LogonUser API using logon type, *LOGON32_LOGON_NEW_CREDENTIALS*. I am able to retrieve the content of a directory using the UNC share, and create a file stream to "download" the file. So far so good. The only issue is that it seems, LogonUser fails unless there is an already open session. Let me clarify that. I found that the ASP.NET MVC page was not working this morning, specifically the page that retrieves the file list from this remote machine using LogonUser. I look at the log and I see in the stacktrace, *System.IO.__Error.WinIOError* above Directory.GetFiles call. I then remoted into the web server and tried to open the remote folder in the explorer using the same login/password used by the web site. It went through and I could see the files. I opened up the command prompt, type in net use, and I see that there is an open connection to the remote machine. Then I went back to the page and suddenly the page is working again. So, at this point, I am not exactly sure if the LogonUser is working as expected or not. If the call requires that a network connection opened first by other means, then this is certainly not satisfactory. Does anyone know what may be happening or suggest a workaround?

I dont need all other stuf, only which's defined by my own DLL or EXE which I am giving it as PDB. But it shows EVERYTHING kernel related,OS related and balah blah endless list(sky is the limit).. I only required defined in my DLL, EXE or lib. How???? Regards Usman

• UITableView scrolling to specific position

  I am using iPhone SDK 3.1.3. I have a UITableViewController which gets data from another controller. The tableview is added as a subview to the mainview but the frame is set so that it is not visible. The tableview frame is updated and made to slide over the main view by tapping on a button. The table view appears and i scroll to the last row. if i select the last row, i reload the table with more data. The table gets updated with more data. everything works fine except the scroll position is always the top. I need the scroll position to be the last row that I clicked on to load more data. I save the scroll position and call the following code after it loads more data. It executes without issues but the scroll position is always the top. [theTableView scrollTRowAtIndexPath:[NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:savedScrollPosition inSection:0] atScrollPosition:savedScrollPosition animated:NO]; The above seems to have no effect. ViewWillAppear: ViewDidAppear: does not fire and I am told that if the view controller is instantiated in code, which is the case, these don't fire.
