Can a ScatterViewItem dynamically resize to fit its content?

We're hosting a control inside of a ScatterViewItem that dynamically changes its size at runtime as a result of having various sub-elements added, removed, and/or collapsed. We would like to have the hosting ScatterViewItem resize as well to properly fit its child controls, but we're having a hard time making this happen. We've tried a number of different things and the closest we've come is hooking into the child control's SizeChanged event and explicitly setting the ScatterViewItem's Width and Height, but this approach still has issues. When you define a ScatterViewItem and its content in XAML, the ScatterViewItem is sized appropriately. We would like to force the same behavior at runtime when its content changes size. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I want use PopUp (System.Windows.Controls.Primitives.PopUp) control to show some context menu. After mouse leaves, should automatically close. But eventhandler for MouseLeave is never executed. Why? How can I make the modal popup scroll its contents with the page?

I've got a modal popup and when it loads contents that are taller than the browser height I am unable to scroll down to view the rest of the information. Instead the background can scroll but the popup won't. Instead I'd like to have the popup stay put and when the user scrolls up or down it leave the popup in place and let them scroll to the bottom of the contents. If you make a super long post on Facebook the popup works correctly and I'd like to know how I can get this same effect with this control.

Reverse-engineer a Javascript object?

I have a Javascript object that I want to pass in more parameters, but the documentation is non-existant. My only option seems to be to reverse engineer the Javascript object to see what parameters and values I can pass in. jquery clear animation queue

I have the code below, which works fine it can be viewed here for an example. Once the user hovers over one menu, you can then not hover over it again unless the page is refreshed. Show EPS file in ABCpdf with standards modes set to IE8

I know EPS aren't a standard web format but they are embedded into a PDF using a bit of ABCpdf magic. I'm trying to add a Facebook "Like Box" to an existing website, as described here The Page I'm promoting works just fine in preview-box on that page. Safari box shadow inset support

I have a box in one of my websites that has a these property: -moz-box-shadow:inset 0 0 50px #ecf4de; -webkit-box-shadow:inset 0 0 50px #ecf4de; box-shadow:inset 0 0 50px #ecf4de; This gives the box a nice gradient towards the center. However, Safari does not support the "inset" property and IE doesn't support box-shadow at all. I can't use an image for this because the height of this box changes for each situation. I don't want to use 3 images, (one for the top, a repeating one for the middle and one for the bottom), as this can get very messy code. So what I'm asking is if there is any way to produce the box shadow in all browsers.

UITableView resizing rows problem

Hi All, Hope to get solution to this problem. I have been stuck on it since a long time now. I have a a tableView which has custom labels drawn upon the cell using CGRect. I receive the data from a web service in arrays. Initially i display a line of data on the cells. When the user selects a cell, I call reloadsRowAtIndexPath to increase the height of selected row. In the process, cellForRowAtIndexPath gets called again. I keep track of this by a flag, and when cellForRowAtIndexPath gets called again, I display the two more lines of data from arrays, on the cell. What i am getting is all overlapping data on one other. I tried to remove already placed labels in didSelectRowAtIndexPath, but to no avail. Please help me on this Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, my first post here :) I'm having a small trouble with a small but boring problem. I have a view, with a NavigationController. I load in the NC a simple view. Inside this view there's abutton where I fire the presentModalView... in the main view, not on NC, but it's parent view: ABVIEW NC NEWVIEW new attach a presentModalView... on ABVIEW, so [abview present...]; No problem till now. When it's the time to dismiss, after the temporary window (let's calls it NOTES) disappear, my ABVIEW with all the subviews change Y position from 0 to 20, the same height of the status bar. I was looking everywhere and I'm sure it's a stupid thing, but I miss a bit of knowledge here and I have no idea where to find the solution. thanks in advance!

Canny edge detection - grayscale images always coming up as 3-channel, unusable?

I am working through the book "Learning OpenCV" from the O'Reilly series and am trying to perform a canny edge detection sample. Any grayscale image I choose seems to come up as having 3 channels, and to the best of my knowledge, canny only works with single channel images, so this always fails. I am even using the images provided by OpenCV. Here is my code..
