  • iphone sdk - why is the video returned not full res?

    im developing an app for the iphone and im able to get a video using a UIImagePickerController the problem is that the video thats returned by the UIImagePickerControllerMediaURL is not full resoultion -- its only 480 x 360 as opposed to 640 x 480 like the videos that sync to my itunes. -please someone tell me this is not a limitation of the current sdk? - how can i work around it and is there a way to set the uiimage picker so its taking full res video?

    Hi everyone, Was wondering if you can distribute your App to other developers in your team through iTunes. I guess you would upload the App as a beta version through iTunes Connect and anyone with a provisioned iPhone would receive the update. I didn't think it was possible but someone told me they were sure you could. If this is not possible are there any other benefits of a company standard enrolment besides being able to add other people so they can get the same resources? Thanks

    The following Scala code does just what I expect it to - it prints each line of some_file.txt. import scala.io.Source val lines = Source.fromPath("some_file.txt").mkString for (line <- lines) print(line) If I use println instead of print, I expect to see some_file.txt printed out with double-spacing. Instead, the program prints a newline after every character of some_file.txt. Could someone explain this to me? I'm using Scala 2.8.0 Beta 1.

    I am a beginner who finally started understanding anonymous types. (see old post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3010147/what-is-the-return-type-for-a-anonymous-linq-query-select-what-is-the-best-way-t) So in LINQ queries you form the type of return value you want within the linq query right? It seems the way to do this is anonymous type right? Can someone explain to me if and when I could use a Tuple/Expando object instead? They all seem very simliar?

  • Android TimePicker hour field disappears after orientation change

    I am using a TimePicker under API 1.5 and when the orientation is changed on my device (a stock G1 running 1.6 - though NOT on the 1.5/1.6 emulator), the hour field goes blank. It still remembers the hour, it just doesn't show it. Is there any workaround for this? Things I want it to do: Use a proxy server I specify not bring up any dialog boxes that need to be clicked. open a url I specify close With firefox I can do all these things by writing out a temp firefox profile, and telling firefox to use it. If someone knows an answer to this question for IE, I'd also love to hear about it.
