    I have a asp:GridView with a HyperLinkField. It's DataNavigateUrlFormatString property is set to View.aspx?id={0}&isTechnical={1} Select command of appropriate SqlDataSource returns columns of type INT and BYTE (from SQL Server 2008). So displayed string becomes something like View.aspx?id=1&isTechnical=1. But I want to display isTechnical=true|False, i.e. Convert.ToBoolean(row["isTechnical"]).ToString().ToLowerInvariant(). How to implement such conversion in page markup?

    I use WebClient from System.Net Namespace of Visual Studio 2008 to download the HTML content. It done well with normal website but with some 4rum that require authorization such as warez-bb.org, it always return the HTML of the login page. I wonder if there is a way to send the username and password to the WebClient?

  • Visual Studio Default Open File Action

    I am using Visual Studio 2008 with C#. Is there a way to set the default editor for a class file containing a DataTable derived class? Whenever I double click on one of these classes to open the file VS attempts to open a component designer. Since my class isn't compatible with that editor this is a rather useless default. I would like these files to open up in the normal code editor.

    I am trying to deploy an application that uses SMO on a workstation without SQL Server installed on it. The instance the app is connecting to is SQL Server 2008. The application is failing with: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication, Version 10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845cdc8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. The assembly in question is in the same path as my application as well as system32. I am running this on a Windows 7 64 bit box. I have run SQL Native Client, CLR, and SMO MSIs from the 2008 SMO redist download page. This app worked fine when connecting to SQL Server 2005. What gives?

    I want to implement a UAC prompt for an application in visualc++ the operating system is 32bit x7460(2processor) Windowsserver 2008 the exe is myproject.exe through manifest.. Here for testing i wl build the application in Windows XP OS and copy the exe in to system containg the Windowsserver 2008 machine and replace it So what i did is i added a manifest like this name of that is myproject.exe.manifest My project has 3 folders like Headerfile,Resourcefile and Source file.I added this manifest(myproject.exe.manifest) in the Sourcefile folder containing other cpp and c code <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <assemblyIdentity version="4.0" processorArchitecture="X7460" name="myproject" type="win32"/> <description>myproject Problem</description> <!-- Identify the application security requirements. --> <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2"> <security> <requestedPrivileges> <requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" uiAccess="false"/> </requestedPrivileges> </security> </trustInfo> </assembly> then i added this line of code in Resourcefile(.rc).Means one header file is there(Myproject.h).I added the line of code there #define MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID 1 MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID RT_MANIFEST "myproject.exe.manifest" Finally i did the following step Under Project, select Properties. 3. In Properties, select Manifest Tool, and then select Input and Output. 4. Add in the name of your application manifest file under Additional manifest files. 5. Rebuild your application. But i am getting lot of Syntax errors Is there any problems in the way which i followed.If i commented the line #define MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID 1 MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID RT_MANIFEST "myproject.exe.manifest" which added in Myproject.h for adding values in .rc file there willnot any error other than this general error c1010070: Failed to load and parse the manifest.     Is there a way to tell how to get a file size that is uploaded to database? SELECT [ID] ,[File] FROM [dbo].[Reports] I would like to be able to tell user the size of File which is VarBinary(max) field in MS SQL 2005/2008. How to do that? Maybe the only way to do is to create another column and when inserting file i should also insert it's size in additional column?

  • Stored Procedure could not be found

    We use SQL server 2008 as our RDBMS and we have a database that has a different user rather than dbo as its owner. The problem is in one machine a stored procedure can not run unless its owner is mentioned. If we connect to our database using this user and try to execute the following : exec ourSP we get a "could not find ourSP" error but this works fine: exec user.ourSP Does anybody knows what can lead to such a strange behavior?
