• Changing stylesheet href with jQuery doesn't quite work

  I'm creating a web app that user will be accessing in the field, so they'd like to be able to manually toggle the styles from light to dark depending on the ambient lighting. I'm using jQuery. I added an id attribute to my stylesheet, then created a button using the toggle() event, in which I change the href attribute to the CSS file I want. The CSS file has several @import directives as I split the styles into several files for maintainability. My problem is only the main CSS file is being applied. I tried using the absolute path in the @import directives, but no luck. Is there a fix here I'm missing, or do I have to inlcude everything in a single CSS file? Edit: Apprently this is only a problem in IE8, works fine in Chrome and Firefox. Unfortunately, my client wants only IE8. Looks like this is a duplicate of this question.

I have one file needsOptimization.cpp where I would like to override the -O1 with -O2 instead. • Looking for a wiki-style, standalone, version-control-"safe" documenation package

My team and I have found that documenting our project (a development platform w/ API) with a wiki is both useful to us and useful to the users. Due to some organizational issues, we're forced to do multi-site development without network connectivity. We've switched to a DVCS (Mercurial) and had great success with this. The wiki documentation proves to be a problem as the central site is setup with MediaWiki. The offsite people have no way to access or edit the wiki. Is there any sort of wiki-style package which doesn't not require a server/database and will be useable in a DVCS environment? Update: Should be open-source and cross-platform

Im a little confused on how to use split when the columns are delimited by a space and -. i Figure once i do that i can use min() and max function. Using jQuery is not always an option (or even a want) which can make understanding the examples of javascript solutions written in jQuery hard. Is there an easy way to convert jQuery code to regular javascript? • Playback audio data with GWT

  I am creating a GWT client application which interacts with a server and I am getting all my response data from the server in JSON format. Amongst others there are wave data on the server's database which I would like to retrieve and then playback on the client. I am able to get the wave data as an array of bytes in the JSON format. My problem is, how do I playback the wave array data in a browser? Is it even possible or do I have to find another solution? I've searched the web and found some GWT packages which are able to playback sound, but they are all playing back directly from an url.

• Reading and writing dates to the registry for trial version purposes.

  Hi all, Here's what I want to do, I want to store the date the first time the program is installed and also store a date when was the program was last run. I want the code to check to see if it was more than 30 days since the installation so I can turn off features. I also want to check if the system date is less than the last opened date and if so write the installed date to 1/1/1901 to prevent the program from running. Keeping in mind that this is not a consumer program but a business program I don't expect hackers to crack it, they may do but that is fine I simply want to give potential customers a reason to consider purchasing the program and the end of the trial will prompt this. 1: Does this sound reasonable? 2: How should I hide the fact this is a date so it's not easily changed?   I have a list management appliaction that stores its data in a many-to-many relationship database. I.E. A note can be in any number of lists, and a list can have any number of notes. I also can export this data to and XML file and import it in another instance of my app for sharing lists between users. However, this is based on a legacy system where the list to note relationship was one-to-many (ideal for XML). Now a note that is in multiple lists is esentially split into two identical rows in the DB and all relation between them is lost. Question: How can I represent this many-to-many relationship in a simple, standard file format? (Preferably XML to maintain backwards compatibility)

• Class-Dump Installation

  So this may sound like a really stupid question and I HAVE looked at the how-to from the parent website, but no matter what I do, I cannot get this program to even start to install... I tried entering: cd /opt/local/bin/portslocation/dports/class-dump which returned a "this file/director doesnt exist" error, so i tried to get to it folder by folder. when i got all the way to: cd /opt/local/bin/ i cannot go any further. when i check the contents of the bin directory, the only files i can find are (and i cannot access these apparently either): "daemondo port portf portindex portmirror" i have tried doing this on 2 computers so far to no avail, macports is installed on both like the website said and i am having trouble finding any support for it. please and thank you!!

On those grounds could you please give me some sort of a checklist( any points/guidelines) one could use for going about Implementation( in the form of Implementation Details) in Python and C++ . Although this might sound specific as the query is "Implementation Details" and is different for different cases as one goes about the REAL implementation, I just want a SET of guidelines one should follow ( Preferably In Python, C++ specific, even for any other language is Welcome) if this( Implementation Details ) has to also be documented or presented.   I just created a big piece of code I want to commit in several separate commits. So I can stage relevant parts, commit, stage, commit, ... and so on until I have all my changes commited. The missing part is how can I test whether I split the commit correcty. I.e. whether the part that is in staging area at least compiles? To do that I must somehow bring my work tree to be in sync with index (staging area) without losing the changes to be committed later. What is the right way to do it?   I'm writing reports on SQL Server Reporting Server that have a number of hours grouped by, say, user, and a total calculated based on the sum of the values. Currently my query runs a stored proc that returns the hours as in HH:MM format, rather than decimal hours, as our users find that more intuitive. The problem occurs when I try and add up the column using an SSRS expression, because the SUM function isn't smart enough to handle adding up times in this format. Is there any way to: Display a time interval (in minutes or hours) in HH:MM format while having it calculated in decimal form? Or split up and calculate the total of the HH:MM text values to arrive at a total as an expression? I'd like to avoid having to write/run a second query just to get the total.

  Hi, I want to test an "Adapter" object that when it receives an xml message, it digest it to a Message object, puts message ID + CorrelationID both with timestamps and forwards it to a Client object.=20 A message can be correlated to a previous one (e.g. m2.correlationID =3D m1.ID). I mock the Client, and check that Adapter successfully calls "client.forwardMessage(m)" twice with first message with null correlationID, and a second with a not-null correlationID. However, I would like to precisely test that the correlationIDs are set correctly, by grabing the IDs (e.g. m1.ID). But I couldn't find anyway to do so. There is a jira about adding the feature, but no one commented and it is unassigned. Is this really unimplemented? I read about the alternative of redesigning the Adapter to use an IdGenerator object, which I can stub, but I think there will be too many objects.=20 Don't you think it adds unnecessary complexity to split objects to a so fine granularity? • SSIS - Limiting Concurrent Connections

  Hi Folks, I am using SSIS to connect to a legecy mainframe database and this allows only 5 concurrent connections at a time. I have a dataflow task with many tables to transfer and it kicks outs because of this limitation. I have split up the Data Flow task into seperate data flows and this is working for the moment, but it is not optiomal as they need to be sequenced and 1 large transfer in a flow is holding up subsequent transfers. Anyone any idea of how to limit the number of connections in a single data flow, I had a look at using the Engine Threads but this did not make any difference. Any help much appericated.
