  I'm currently testing out a new proxy system that I'd like to try out on my own computer. Because I do not have an additional PC available, I though I'd do it with VMware. Here's what I'd like to do: The physical computer is to make an internet connection using the VMware proxy and not the router. Is this (1) possible and (2) if so, how am I to accomplish this? • Explorer is missing half tray icons in XP

  Hi, lately and with no explanation half of the tray icons disappear every time I start up XP SP3. I use Process Explorer (procexp.exe) to look for the missing processes and they still there. When i kill and restart explorer.exe, the tray is complete again. I don't know how to diagnostic or repair the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I would like to rip all music files from my ipod to my hard disk and then select only some of the files and add them to the itunes library, which will sync with the ipod.   Hi guys, I was editing the /etc/inetd.conf file in VI to enable SSH and when I believed to have saved it. I entered cat and pressed enter accidently. Now I seem to be stuck in a black screen where I can enter characters but can't exit from it. How would I go on my way to get back to the normal console without rebooting the ESXi. Thanks

  I have a sagem livebox 2 (Fiber optic model), and have placed my computer in a DMZ. People from outside of my network can access my comp fine via its external dyndns.org address, yet when I try to call the public dyndns.org address from inside my network, I get redirected to the internal admin site on the router. How can I make it so that I can see my comp from the public address like everyone else? What kinds of questions should I be asking or looking into? Thanks

  Hi, on a Windows 7 machine I need to switch back and forth two connections: the LAN connection (that works behind a proxy) and a wireless connection via a USB modem. This requires every time to activate / deactivate two connections in the manager and switch on / off the LAN settings. I don't think there is some way to keep two connections alive and specify which one to use based on the program, but my question is: is there a simple little utility that makes switching the connection one-click easy and fast?   Hi all iMac 24" Late 2006 Mac OS X (10.6.3) I'm trying to install Bootcamp. I've partitioned my HD but when I reboot with the Windows installation disk I get a black (blank) screen. The advice from the Apple Support website is to install the MXM Update but when I run that as per the instructions I get this error: An unexpected error occurred (11.1).   The last guy forgot to enable vnc connections on our Xen blade and I need to install a windows domain, is there any way I can enable vnc without shutting down half our company? From what I can tell I need to edit xend-config.sxp which would likely require a restart of xend, which means shutting down all the running domains. Is there any way around this? thanks :)
