In the process i defined this datatype, to get a less typed number; data Number = _Int Integer | _Rational Rational | _Float Double deriving(Eq,Show) Compiling this fails with the following error: ERROR "types.hs":16 - Syntax error in data type declaration (unexpected `|') Line 16 is the line w. the first '|' in the code above.

  • OpenGL: Implementing transformation matrix stack

    In a newer OpenGL there is no matrix stack. I am working on a simple display engine, and I am going to implement the transformation stack. What is a common strategy here? Should I build a push/pop stack, and use it with a tree representing my model? I suppose this is the "old" approach, that was deprecated in the newer OpenGL versions. Maybe then it is not the best solution (it was removed for some reason)

No problem if the IDE makes it easy to work with constructs like String x = "CREATE TABLE TEST ( \n" + "A INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, \n" ... What is the fastest way to paste a multi-line String from the clipboard into Java source using Eclipse (in a way that it automagically creates code like the above).

    In Oracle I've created a data type: TABLE of VARCHAR2(200) I want to have a variable of this type within a Stored Procedure (defined locally, not as an actual table in the DB) and fill it with data. Some online samples show how I'd use my type if it was filled and passed as a parameter to the stored procedure: SELECT column_value currVal FROM table(pMyPassedParameter) However what I want is to fill it during the PL/SQL code itself, with INSERT statements. Anyone knows the syntax of this?

    Hi experts, Assuming you've already had a chance to look through the lambda syntax proposed for Java7 (and the other things that have happened with Java, after Oracle has bought Sun + obvious problems in Java Community Process), what do you think is the future of Java language? Should I, as a Java greenhorn, invest time in learning Java language (not talking about the core JVM, which definitely will survive anything, and worth investments), or concentrate on Scala, Groovy, or other hybrid languages on the JVM platform (I've came into Java world from PHP/Ruby).     In Netbeans or in Eclipse, you can use "Find Usages" or "References" from the right click context menu. If a() calls b(), using the functionality from b() will show you a(). However, what I want is to be able to see some kind of tree or have an option to see all usages of a given/class or method, such that if z() calls a() that using the functionality will show both z() and a(). Any IDE plugins or external tools that can do this?

  • CVS list of files only in working directories

    Is it possible to get a list of files that are in the working directory tree, but not in the current branch/tag? I currently diff the working copy with another directory updated to the same module and tag/branch but without the local non-repo files. It works, but doesn't honor the .cvsignore files. I figure there must be an option using a variation of 'cvs diff'. Thanks in advance.

Hashtable^ tempHash = gcnew Hashtable(iterators_); IDictionaryEnumerator^ enumerator = tempHash->GetEnumerator(); What the heck does the caret mean? (The gcnew is also new to me, and I asked about that here.)
