  • Can't use HTTPS with ServerXMLHTTP object

    I am supporting a Classic ASP application that connects to a payment gateway via HTTPS. Up until recently there have been no issues. A few days ago this broke without the code, IIS config or anything local changing. Its broken on at least 3 separate servers. The last run of Windows Updates was in late November, but bringing the servers' updates up date has not resolved the problem. A code snippet is below.   • Image swaping with click on <tr>

    I've edited this piece of code from the Data Tables Plugin witch makes a tr click able and pops open another tr with details from the clicked tr. This piece of code is the event listener for opening and closing. When "details" are open the img should be images/details_close.png and they are closed the img should be images/details_open.png and have a swap occurring when it opens and closes when clicked. What is happening is there is no swap going on when its open or closed I still only get the "details_open.png". I don't knoe if I'm just not selecting the img tag properly or whats going on.     Im sorry if I havent done my research properly, - but couldnt find the answer I needed, so here goes: From my main page I open a new window using mainPlayer = window.open(); This window stays open until user clicks on a mainPlayer.close(); event. (or simply x closes the window) However, the idea is to make it possible to let the player keep playing, while browsing around the rest of the pages. But as soon as the user leaves the page that opened the mainPlayer window, the reference to the mainPlayer window seem to be lost. How do I, from the site's other pages, check if the mainPlayer window is open and close it on a click event? Thx John

  • Altering the Windows 7 grouping thumbnail preview

    I like the windows 7 grouping behaviour for multiple similar windows, except when I have multiple Explorer windows open. In this case, showing thumbnails of each open explorer window is next to useless, and I would like to know how to either: Disable thumbnail display completely (but preserve the grouping behaviour) Disable thumbnail display for a subset of programs (all explorer.exe instances) Change the number of similar programs that are open before the grouping behaviour falls back on a more sensible text preview when hovering over the taskbar icon (currently 14 or over) I don't particularly want to disable any other features of windows to get this behaviour, so disabling the theme compleletely isn't what I want to do. I definitely want to keep the grouping behaviour. Its just those thumbnail previews I would like to alter.     Sometimes I keep multiple instances of SQL Server Management Studio 2005 open. I might have the dev database open in one, and the production database open in another. These appear in the Windows task bar with the text "Microsoft SQL Serve...", which means it's impossible to differentiate between them unless I open the window and scroll the Object Explorer up to see what server the window is actually connected to. Is ther any way that I can get the window to display the server name first, and then the name of the application? Like "Dev-DB.database_name - Microsoft SQL Serve..." or whatever?

    I have a bookmarklet that needs to open a new window/tab. In order to avoid the popup blocker, I need to call the window.open() method directly in the bookmarklet ie: at the browser-level. However, I want to keep the bookmarklet updatable by loading external Javascript files. To do this, the bookmarklet needs to append script nodes to the DOM. If i were to put window.open() code in one of these externally loaded scripts, the popup blocker would block it since its page-level. What I want to know is if I can create a wrapper function around window.open() in my bookmarklet, then call it from the externally loaded script? What is the scope and what are the permissions on a wrap such as this?

  • How reference popup object when opener page changes?

    This is driving me crazy! Scenario: The main page opens a pop-up window and later calls a function in it: newWin = window.open(someurl,'newWin',options); ...some code later... newWin.remoteFunction(options); and it's ok. Now, popup is still open and Main Page changes to Page 2. In Page 2 newWin doesn't exist anymore and I need to recreate the popup window object reference in order to call again the remote function (newWin.remoteFunction) I tried something like: newWin = open('','newWin', options); if (!newWin || newWin.closed || !newWin.remoteFunction) { newWin = window.open(someurl,'newWin',options); } And it works, I can call newWin.remoteFunction again BUT Safari for some reason gives Focus() to the popup window everytime the open() method is called breaking the navigation (I absolutely need the popup working in the background). Only workaround I can think to solve this is to create an interval in the popup with: if(window.opener && !window.opener.newWin) window.opener.newWin = self; and then set another interval in the opener Page with some try/catch but it is inelegant and very inefficient. so, I wonder, it's really so hard to get the popup object reference between different pages in the opener window?

My program works fine when i give location of the local file on my system. for eg /root/Desktop/abc.xxx works fine But once the location is on the http server the file fails to open. for eg http://192.168.0.10/abc.xxx fails to open.   • Perl Script to search and replace in .SQL query file with user inputs

    I have a .SQL file containing a large number of queries. They are being run against a database containing data for multiple states over multiple years. The machine I am running this on can only handle running the queries for one state, in one year, at a time. I am trying to create a Perl script that takes user input for the state abbreviation, the state id number, and the year. It then creates a directory for that state and year. Then it opens the "base" .SQL file and searches and replaces the base state id and year with the user input, and saves this new .SQL file to the created directory. The current script I have (below) stops at open(IN,'<$infile') with "Can't open [filename]" It seems that it is having difficulty finding or opening the .SQL file. I have quadruple-checked to make sure the paths are correct, and I have even tried replacing the $path with an absolute path for the base file. If it was having trouble with creating the new file I'd have more direction, but since it can't find/open the base file I do not know how to proceed. #!/usr/local/bin/perl use Cwd; $path = getcwd(); #Cleans up the path $path =~ s/\\/\//sg; #User inputs print "What is the 2 letter state abbreviation for the state?   • Aptana function definition popups

    I've noticed that in Aptana 2.0 over 1.5.1 that when typing a php function, you no longer get the popup window showing the function description and it's parameters. Does anyone know how to get this working again? As I relied on it quite heavily to remember which parameters went where. Open in PHP Manual shortcut Shift+F2 also doesn't work either, so all I can do is open my browser and keep php.net open all the time. Are either of these features functional? I know that Open delcaration has never worked annoyingly, but I had the function popup in 1.5.1 perfectly.
