    How can I do this better (so it actually works : ) I have a LINQ Query that includes an order by that is based on a user preference. The user can decide if they would like the results ordered asc or desc. If fuserclass.SortOrder = "Ascending" Then Dim mydat = (From c In dc.ITRS Order By c.Date Ascending Select c) Else Dim mydat = (From c In dc.ITRS Order By c.Date Descending Select c) End If For each mydata in mydat ***<<<error "mydat is not declared"*** I know I could put my For Each loop inside the If and Else, but that seems silly to have the same code twice. I know you know of a better way : )

    Hey Everyone, I am receiving this error: Requires a valid user is specified (either via the session or via the API parameter for specifying the user. when I am trying to utilize Facebook's FB.api with JS SDK for method: users.hasAppPermission I am constantly receiving this error, for any uid I pass on.     We have several developers who maintain the system and I want them to easily read the log files in /var/log/httpd without needing root access.     I have an DLL which is constantly connected to a SQL Server instance. The server itself is connected with "admin" permissions, but "normal" users should be able to access the server with their own username and password. The server would still be connected a "admin". I just want to check if the user can access the database. Is there a way to authenticate the user using a SQL query? It would of course be possible to add a encrypted "password" column to a database table for users, but I would prefer not having to do that.

    Hi, i have a web user control containing a repeater. The repeater contains three buttons. On button click it gives the following error : Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" % in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. Since user control does not have page directive, so i changed the enableEventValidation to false, but it restricted the itemcommand event of the repeater. Can someone guide me, how to solve this problem?

    Does anyone know any sane reason for such bundling decision? Google engineers act wisely in most cases, so this kinda surprized me. This would cause collisions with other versions of servlet API pulled via Maven dependencies: webapp classpath will likely contain version which is bundled with GWT; container may refuse to load the GWT jar as it contains the javax.servlet package; in most cases this will likely deviate classpaths across your IDE's debugger and the really executing VM. I could grab all data and then just assign all private variables, but I assume there must be another "cheaper" way to get all the data so I can use as such $this-variable; And not have to ASSIGN every single data row, I select in the load method.     We have a JBoss server with a single J2EE on it. I wish to find out who are the current active users using that application. Does JBoss give me any utilities that lets me view those existing sessions? (NOT the count, but who all are logged in) The question is kinda lame, but so is my JBoss knowledge :) I checked the JBoss community, but it only had a couple of relative unanswered questions there. The information i'm looking for would help me in maintenance cycles. I do not wish to reboot the system when users are still using it.     Moved a SATA HD from one PC to another. Copied almost all the files from old drive to new, except for one folder ("oldFolder") and it's subfolders and files. I tried to copy just a single file (to simplify things): Can't copy that file to same directory. (get above error) CAN copy file to Desktop. Can not copy files' container folder to Desktop. Under Properties for that OldFolder: Read Only is Checked. Security: Everyone set to Allow everything except "special permissions" All users are set to allow WRITE.

  • How can I push a git repository to a folder over SSH?

    I have a folder called my-project inside which I've done git init, git commit -a, etc. Now I want to push it to an empty folder at /mnt/foo/bar on a remote server. How can I do this? I did try, based on what I'd read: cd my-project git remote add origin ssh://user@host/mnt/foo/bar/my-project.git git push origin master which didn't seem right (I'd assume source would come before destination) and it failed: fatal: '/mnt/boxee/git/midwinter-physiotherapy.git' does not appear to be a git repository fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly I'd like this to work such that I don't have to access the remote host and manually init a git repository every time ... do I have to do that? Am I going down the right route at all? Thanks.

    I have a PHP project setup in Netbeans (v6.8) where all the PHP files are on a remote server and in a single directory. Whenever I save files locally they are updated on the remote server via SFTP. I now need to edit a remote JavaScript file to add some jQuery logic but the file is located within a different directory on the webserver. How to I add this JavaScript file such that when it is saved or updated it is transferred to it's own location on the server? When I attempt to create the file locally within NetBeans it saves to the same directory as my PHP files. I would like to be able to continue using NetBeans rather than doing this all manually using an SFTP client and a text editor. Thanks in advance.

  • Is it possible to authenticate user manually with oauth2

    I want to authenticate a user with oauth2 to access google drive. I can get the access token required when using AccountManager to retrieve an account and then get the token with: mgr.blockingGetAuthToken(account, ApiConst.DRIVE_AUTH_SCOPE, true); But I want the user to be able to authenticate by providing username and password instead of using the account added to the phone. Is this possible? EDIT So I have tried to implement the authorization in a WebView. I followed this example. I have extracted the code request parameter but the code used to retrieve the access token seems to be deprecated and not compatible with the packages used by Google Drive SDK. This is the code used to retrieve the access token in the example: AccessTokenResponse accessTokenResponse = new GoogleAuthorizationCodeGrant(new NetHttpTransport(), new JacksonFactory(), OAuth2ClientCredentials.CLIENT_ID, OAuth2ClientCredentials.CLIENT_SECRET, code, OAuth2ClientCredentials.REDIRECT_URI).execute(); Can this be done in some other way or should I just give up?

I would like to create a user interface editor, where the user can add database points to the UI and arrange them and format them as they want. If a new point is added to the database they can right click on the UI and say "add this point" and choose from a list of database points. I'm looking for some pointers on where to start on creating this editor application, could something clever be done using XAML to dynamically create std WPF controls at runtime?
