  • HTML-5 : video tag. Video not playing

    Hi guys, I was trying use/test video tag of HTML-5. Here is the code <!DOCTYPE HTML> <html> <body> <video src="./Pilot.avi" controls="controls"> your browser does not support the video tag </video> </body> </html> Pilot.avi is stored in the same same directory as this HTML page. The problem is, I am seeing the controls being displayed but can't play the video. I tried with, 1) Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13 2) Google Chrome 8.0.552.224 What could be the problem?   • Stop default hashtag behavior with jquery

    I'm using the following code to append a hashtag to the end of a url. That way someone can copy that url and take them back to that page, with certain divs visable. $("a.live").click(function() { window.location.hash = 'live'; $("#live).slideDown(); }); In this example I have a div called 'live', that would slideDown when a link is clicked, and '#live' added to the url. Then I have code that checks the hash tags when the page is loaded to show the proper divs. My problem is, how do I prevent the browser from jumping to the 'live' div once it's called? I don't want the page to scroll down to the div, just want it opened and the hashtag appended so a person could copy it and come back to that page with that div showing. Any tips? Thank you!

I can't use DomDocument, it's in php cli, I need regex solution.. But the text shown as html tag attribute are shown in unicode. I'm positive that on the server side(PHP), both texts are treated in the same way and are encoded in utf-8. Why the text as html tag attribute shown in unicode? ?????????????????????? ??

    I am developing a bookmarklet that requires a specific version of jQuery be loaded on the page. When I have to dynamically insert a jQuery script tag to meet the requirments of the bookmarklet I want to wait for the onload or onreadystatechange event on the script tag before executing any function that requires jQuery. For some reason the onload and/or onreadystatechange events do not fire.     Hi Folks, I'm complaining about the growth of jQuery tagged questions at stackoverflow. There are so many people who ask, 'How to implement a specific plugin?' or 'How to use that plugin?' which makes me kinda sick. IMO: If you Tag a question to jQuery, javascript or C, it should be a question about the language itself and not some 'goofy' little plugin. Best case scenario, Tag those questions with jquery-plugins. I know I'm breaking my own rule along with this post, but I just realized that trend and I'm really interested in other opinions about that. Kind Regards --Andy

    Hi folks My problem is that I'm trying to count which tag has been used most in a table of user-submitted code. But the problem is with the database structure. The current query I'm using is this: SELECT tag1, COUNT(tag1) AS counttag FROM code GROUP BY tag1 ORDER BY counttag DESC LIMIT 1 This is fine, except, it only counts the most often occurence of tag1 - and my database has 5 tags per post - so there's columns tag1, tag2, tag3, tag4, tag5. How do I get the highest occurring tag value from all 5 columns in one query? Jack

I would like to have them progressive loaded form my website using HTML5 video tag. video_big.mp4 encoded for iOS on Wifi H.264 Baseline, 25fps, 640x480, 500kbps video_small.mp4 encoded for iOS on Edge/3G H.264 Baseline, 25fps, 320x240, 56kbps My question is: How can I write the HTML5 video tag to serve video_big.mp4 to iOS devices that connected through Wifi, and serve video_small.mp4 to iOS devices that connected through Edge/3G?     I'm attempting to create a custom jsp tag. Everything is working fine, except for the fact that I the request seems to be out-of-scope for my custom function.     I currently have code like this in a web based file called 'view_file.php' to grab an image from an internal network. <img src="put_file.php?type=<?=$TN_TYPE;?>&path=<?=$TN_PATH;?>&filename=<?=$TN_FILENAME;?>" /> The 'put_file.php' script allows access to an internal server that we don't want to expose to the internet. This script checks to see if an image is available and if it is, sends an image header and then uses readfile() to stream the image to the 'view_file.php' page. The problem is if there isn't an image available, instead of streaming a temporary 'spacer.gif' i want to not have the img tag written at all. Any Ideas how to do this? I'm thinking maybe move the img tag into the 'put_file.php' script, but how to mix strings and steams?

    I need to add a link over the entirety of a div which contains some more divs. Looks like this: div.top { width: 150px; height: 150px; position: relative; } a.link { width: 150px; height: 150px; position: absolute; top: 0; } <div class="top"> <div class="text1">Text 1</div> <div class="text2">Text 2</div> <a class="link" href="http://something"></a> </div> So I put a link inside and made it the size of the top div. Everythign works fine in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. In IE and Opera, whenever I hover mouse cursor over that area but also over a text, the cursor is changing to selection cursor, not a hand (meaning no link). Whenever I move the cursor off the text, the link is available again. How can I make the link to "cover" the text completely? I tried adding z-index: div.top { z-index: 0; } a.link { z-index: 1; } doesn't help. Any ideas?

The function above is called on another selectboxes "OnChange" event, to fill sub-select-box with the desired options. I don't think it should be too difficult to add the "optgroup" tag into this, or is it? Thanks and if you need more input let me know...

    Hi guys! -- I am working on a (auto) tag suggestion system (NOT tag autocomplete). Lets say I want to suggest tags for a given question like here on SO (although SO's tagging system is auto-complete). My main idea is to get the intersection between the tags_set and the given question.split()_set. (In python the set_intersection is efficient enough). Also, in order to make it a little bit more accurate I might use words-distance to count as 'the same' very close words i.e movie == movies. For now I am not thinking about using any Collaborative Filtering technique looking for the tags to similar questions and so on, because I believe since the question text is pretty short (comparing with a blog article or a paper) it is not worth the effort. So I was wondering if you have any other (more) efficient approaches to suggest. Any ideas, specially from people who they have done something like that before, are more than welcome.

Because it's ASP I cannot set a class for the input elements and I cannot reference the id because it's dynamic.

    Hi, In my web application, I use strust2 url tag to pass parameters like id etc., For example, I use a link to delete an entity and I use param to pass the id of the entity to be deleted. And I follow this throughout my web app for adding, editing, deleting an entity. During run time, sometimes, I don't get the params to be stored in my action's bean properties. When I see the link that is generated, I get something like <a href='/projit1/p/discuss/viewDiscussion.action?d=11&amp;amp;amp;projid=11&amp;amp;disid=4'> What are these amps for ? why do they sit in between the action calls (made by link via url tag actions ) ? By the time I traverse back and forth in my web app, I get 10s and 20s of amp sitting in the request URL. What is the problem here ? Please help.
