  • Cross-Browser CSS3 Rule

    - by Alexander Corotchi
I have a stupid question, If I want to add round corner for an element in browsers which support some stuff of CSS3, I have to repeat style several time for each browser, because it is different ? For ex : -moz-border-radius: 12px; /* FF1+ */ -webkit-border-radius: 12px; /* Saf3+, Chrome */ border-radius: 12px; /* Opera 10.5, IE 9 */ It means, that I have to add 3 styles for this radius border, doesn't it ?

  • HBox Image as BorderSkin

    - by Maurits de Boer
I've designed a pretty 6pixel border for an HBox. It's a .png file and I tried setting it as the border skin like so: HBox { border-skin: Embed('../graphics/skins/border.png'); } However, when I run the application, the image is used for the background instead of the border. How do I fix this?

  • Is it possible to change the border color of a UISearchDisplayController's search bar?

    - by prendio2
I have a UISearchBar added as my table header with the following code. searchBar = [[UISearchBar alloc] initWithFrame:self.tableView.bounds]; searchBar.tintColor = [UIColor colorWithWhite:185.0/255 alpha:1.0]; [searchBar sizeToFit]; self.tableView.tableHeaderView = searchBar; Then I set my UISearchDisplayController up as follows. searchDisplayController = [[UISearchDisplayController alloc] initWithSearchBar:searchBar contentsController:self]; [searchDisplayController setDelegate:self]; [searchDisplayController setSearchResultsDataSource:self]; Everything functions as I would like except that the UISearchDisplayController has added a blue(ish) border above the search bar — this bar does not recognise the tintColor I have set on the search bar. Is it possible to change the color of this bar? It is obviously not absolutely crucial but that line is going to bug me forever if it stays blue like that!

  • CSS height problem. IE8 seems correct Firefox seems wrong. Any fix?

    - by user169867
    Below is a complete html page that shows the problem. The "myDiv" should be 22px in height (including the border). Item 1 should have a 1px space between its border and the divs border. In IE8 it is. In FF 3.6.2 though it is 24px and I can't understand why. Ultimately my goal is to get the same CSS to create the same result in both browsers. It's driving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated :) <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" > <head> <title></title> <style type="text/css"> div.aclb {background:#EEF3FA; color:#666; cursor:text; padding:1px; overflow-y:auto; border:#BBC8D9 1px solid; } div.aclb:hover {border:#3399FF 1px solid;} div.aclb.focus {background:#FFF; border:#3399FF 1px solid;} div.aclb ul {padding:0; margin:0; list-style:none; display:table; vertical-align:middle; } div.aclb li {float:left; cursor:default; font-family:Arial; padding:0; margin:0;} div.aclb li.block {padding:0px 2px; height:16px; white-space:nowrap; border:solid 1px #BBD8FB; background:#f3f7fd; font-size:11px; line-height:16px;} div.aclb li.block:hover {border:solid 1px #5F8BD3; background:#E4ECF8; color:#000;} div.aclb li.input {} div.aclb input {margin:0; padding:0; height:18px; background:transparent; border:none; color:#666; overflow:hidden; resize:none; font-family:Arial; font-size:13px; outline:none;} div.aclb input:focus {margin:0; padding:0; height:18px; background:transparent; border:none; color:#22F; overflow:hidden; resize:none; font-family:Arial; font-size:13px; outline:none;} div.aclb a.d {cursor:pointer; display:block; color:#6B6B6B; width:13px; height:12px;float:right; margin:1px 0 1px 4px; border:solid 1px transparent; font-family:Verdana; font-size:11px; text-align:center; line-height:10px;} div.aclb a.d:hover { border:solid 1px #7DA2CE; background:#F7FAFD; color:#AD0B0B;} div.aclb a.d:active {border:solid 1px #497CBB; background:#BAD8E8; color:#A90909;} </style> </head> <body> <div id="myDiv" style="width:250px" class="aclb"> <ul> <li class="block"> <a class="d">x</a><span>Item 1</span> </li> <li class="input"> <input type="text" style="width:30px" maxlength="30"/> </li> </ul> </div> </body> </html>

  • How to show only border of window (winforms) when resizing in C#?

    - by MartyIX
Hi, I would like to disable displaying of the content of the window when resizing, is it possible? The problem is that when I'm resizing my window the controls redraw on correct positions but it doesn't look good because it's not done fluently. EDIT: I would like a code that would manage the following scenario: 1) I click on the corner of window 2) Now only the border of window is visible - the middle part is transparent 3) I set the size of the window by mouse 4) I release the mouse button and the middle part of the window will appear Thank you for help!

  • How do I use CSS to add a non-rectangular border around an image?

    - by KPL
Hello people, I have three images, and they are not square or rectangular in shape. They are just like face of anyone. So, basically, my images are in the size 196x196 or anything like that, but complete square or rectangle with the face in the middle and transperant background in the rest of the portion. Now, I want to remove the transperant background too and just keep the faces. Don't know if this is possible and mind you, this isn't a programming question. EDIT (from comments): How do I put a border around the shape of the image, not a rectangular one around the boundary, using CSS.

  • Android how to make ImageView with a minWidth have a border?

    - by Kman
I want to diplay an image so that it takes up a minmum width of the screen and should scale in its aspect ratio (the image width might be smaller or larger than the minimun width) I also want to have a fixed size border around this image. This is my xml section for it: <ImageView android:id="@+id/detailed_view_boxArt" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:minWidth="150dp" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" android:layout_below="@id/detailed_view_heading" android:padding="10dp" android:layout_marginLeft="5dp" android:scaleType="centerInside" android:background="#000"/> This however does not produce what I want...the problem is that it does not scale the image horizontally far enough (ie. the 10px padding that I have seems a lot more on the right and left) How would I produce the result that I want?

  • Creating a border around cells with the same value.

    - by Liam
I have a table like the one below. How can I get Excel to put borders around groups with the same number in the 4th column so that there is a border around the groups. I was thinking conditional formatting could do it but I can't think how. So I think the only option is a macro. • how to make a border area go around the content of a page where there is a footer fixed to the bottom of the page and an header fixed to the top

    - by user277498
consider the following: http://jsfiddle.net/PxabT/10/ There are 3 divs hd, bd, ft. hd is fixed to the top. ft is fixed to the bottom. I want the lime colored border to go totally around the white central area without increasing the height of the ft or hd divs. How do I achieve that? Many thanks! edit: see http://jsfiddle.net/PxabT/15/ which is a step forward by changing the borders to padding.

  • Who could ask for more with LESS CSS? (Part 1 of 3&ndash;Features)

    - by ToStringTheory
It wasn’t very long ago that I first began to get into CSS precompilers such as SASS (Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets) and LESS (The Dynamic Stylesheet Language) and I had been hooked on the idea since.  When I finally had a new project come up, I leapt at the opportunity to try out one of these languages. Introduction To be honest, I was hesitant at first to add either framework as I didn’t really know much more than what I had read on their homepages, and I didn’t like the idea of adding too much complexity to a project - I couldn’t guarantee I would be the only person to support it in the future. Thankfully, both of these languages just add things into CSS.  You don’t HAVE to know LESS or SASS to do anything, you can still do your old school CSS, and your output will be the same.  However, when you want to start doing more advanced things such as variables, mixins, and color functions, the functionality is all there for you to utilize. From what I had read, SASS has a few more features than LESS, which is why I initially tried to figure out how to incorporate it into a MVC 4 project. However, through my research, I couldn’t find a way to accomplish this without including some bit of the Ruby on Rails framework on the computer running it, and I hated the fact that I had to do that.  Besides SASS, there is little chance of me getting into the RoR framework, at least in the next couple years.  So in the end, I settled with using LESS. Features So, what can LESS (or SASS) do for you?  There are several reasons I have come to love it in the past few weeks. 1 – Constants Using LESS, you can finally declare a constant and use its value across an entire CSS file. The case that most people would be familiar with is colors.  Wanting to declare one or two color variables that comprise the theme of the site, and not have to retype out their specific hex code each time, but rather a variable name.  What’s great about this is that if you end up having to change it, you only have to change it in one place.  An important thing to note is that you aren’t limited to creating constants just for colors, but for strings and measurements as well. 2 – Inheritance This is a cool feature in my mind for simplicity and organization.  Both LESS and SASS allow you to place selectors within other selectors, and when it is compiled, the languages will break the rules out as necessary and keep the inheritance chain you created in the selectors. Example LESS Code: #header {   h1 {     font-size: 26px;     font-weight: bold;   }   p {     font-size: 12px;     a     {       text-decoration: none;       &:hover {         border-width: 1px       }     }   } } Example Compiled CSS: #header h1 {   font-size: 26px;   font-weight: bold; } #header p {   font-size: 12px; } #header p a {   text-decoration: none; } #header p a:hover {   border-width: 1px; } 3 - Mixins Mixins are where languages like this really shine.  The ability to mixin other definitions setup a parametric mixin.  There is really a lot of content in this area, so I would suggest looking at http://lesscss.org for more information.  One of the things I would suggest if you do begin to use LESS is to also grab the mixins.less file from the Twitter Bootstrap project.  This file already has a bunch of predefined mixins for things like border-radius with all of the browser specific prefixes.  This alone is of great use! 4 – Color Functions This is the last thing I wanted to point out as my final post in this series will be utilizing these functions in a more drawn out manner.  Both LESS and SASS provide functions for getting information from a color (R,G,B,H,S,L).  Using these, it is easy to define a primary color, and then darken or lighten it a little for your needs.  Example: Example LESS Code: @base-color: #111; @red:        #842210; #footer {   color: (@base-color + #003300);   border-left:  2px;   border-right: 2px;   border-color: desaturate(@red, 10%); } Example Compiled CSS: #footer {    color: #114411;    border-left:  2px;    border-right: 2px;    border-color: #7d2717; } I have found that these can be very useful and powerful when constructing a site theme. Conclusion I came across LESS and SASS when looking for the best way to implement some type of CSS variables for colors, because I hated having to do a Find and Replace in all of the files using the colors, and in some instances, you couldn’t just find/replace because of the color choices interfering with other colors (color to replace of #000, yet come colors existed like #0002bc).  So in many cases I would end up having to do a Find and manually check each one. In my next post, I am going to cover how I’ve come to set up these items and the structure for the items in the project, as well as the conventions that I have come to start using.  In the final post in the series, I will cover a neat little side project I built in LESS dealing with colors!

I can't get stretch the centered area (bordered by yellow color) to the bottom of the page where the footer start (the footer is the green top-bordered div). • Applied style in WPF ignores properties.

    - by Quenton Jones
Here's the conundrum. In two different places in my application, I use a border with the exact same appearance. In an never-ending fight against code bloat and unmanageable code, I want to define the border's appearance in a style to use when I create the border. Strangely, several of the properties I set are being ignored. Here's the code I use to create the style. Simple enough. Style borderStyle = new Style(typeof(Border)); borderStyle.Setters.Add(new Setter(Border.BorderBrushProperty, Brushes.Black)); borderStyle.Setters.Add(new Setter(Border.BorderThicknessProperty, new Thickness(4))); borderStyle.Setters.Add(new Setter(Border.OpacityProperty, 1.0)); return borderStyle; But when I set the style, the opacity property is left at its original value of 0.7. I have also tried setting the background of the border to a brush I created. It too is ignored. Thanks for any insights you may have.

  • Custom Buttons in Android: How to get border/edge/frame when I read the background from xml?

    - by Anna
Hi, Using Android Shapes in xml I have defined a gradient which I use as the background for a button. This all works nice, but there's no edge surrounding the button. I would like it to look similar to the normal Android button but I need more flexibility to control the color and look. The shape is defined as follows: I would expect the border to be set in the xml. Why doesn't "stroke" fix it? Stroke doesn't seem to do anything. I checked the Android Developer spec, but couldn't find the answer there: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/drawable-resource.html I have also looked through all the properties of the Android Button, but as expected there's no such parameter, probably since it's built into the normal Android button. Btw, I checked ImageButton properties too. Can someone please help? I know there's the alternative to make an image with proper edges and use an ImageButton, but there really should be a way to fix this programmatically. Thanks! Anna

  • IE positioning problems

    In every browser but IE, on euroworker.no/order the little green arrow under the word "produkt" sits on top of my div container. Why in the world does this not work in IE? Thing is, it works on two pages out of four in IE but all four in other browsers. CSS for the top prgress indicator: #checkoutProgress { width: auto; padding-top: 1em; height: 30px; overflow:hidden; font-family: "Helvetica"; font-size:18px; float:left; /* margin-bottom:22px;*/ margin-left:0px; } #checkoutProgress a { padding: 10px; /*border-width: 2px; margin-right: 20px;*/ text-decoration:none; font-size: 17.26px; color:#dadada; text-transform:uppercase; } #checkoutProgress a:hover { padding: 10px; /*border-width: 2px; margin-right: 20px;*/ text-decoration:none; font-size: 17.26px; color:#818072; } /* completed steps */ #checkoutProgress a.completed { border-color: #70D66D; } /* current step */ #checkoutProgress a.active { /* border-color: #ADD8E6;*/ font-weight: bold; /*background-color: #fffccc; border-color: #ADD8E6;*/ background-image:url(../../upload/urhere_arr.png); background-position:bottom center; /*padding-left:15px;*/ color:#a3a398; } For the box: div #roundbigbox { background-image:url(../../upload/EW_p_og_L.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding:5px; padding-top:10px; padding-bottom:0px; width:760px; height:1%; border-width:1px; border-color:#dddddd; border-radius:10px; -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; z-index:1; position:relative; overflow:hidden; margin:0; margin-bottom:10px; } fieldset css: fieldset.container { border: 0; } And some HTML: <fieldset class="container"> <div id="checkoutProgress" class="progressCart"> <a href="/order" class=" active" id="progressCart"><span>Produkt</span></span></a> <a href="/checkout/selectAddress" class="completed " id="progressAddress"><span>kunde info</span></a> <a href="/checkout/shipping" class="completed " id="progressShipping"><span>Leveringsmåte</span></a> <a href="/checkout/pay" class="" id="progressPayment"><span>Betaling & Fullfør</span><</a> </div> </fieldset> </div> <form action="/order... > <input type="hidden"...> <div id="roundbigbox"> <p id="pro">Produkter</p> More content </div>

The style: <style> #search_settings { position:relative; height:25px; width:500px; } #users_table_results { border-collapse:separate; empty-cells:hide; } #events_table_results { border-collapse:separate; empty-cells:hide; } #establishments_table_results { border-collapse:separate; empty-cells:hide; } </style> My HTML: <div id="search_settings"> <table width="500" border="0"> <tr> <td height="20" class="heading_text_18">Search results</td> </tr> </table> <table id="users_table_results" max-width="500" name="users" border="0"> <tr> <td width="50" height="50"><a href="#profile.php"><img src="Images/<?php echo $row_result_users['picture_thumb_url']; ?>" border="0" height="50" width="50"/></a></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_result_users['user_first_name']; ?></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_result_users['user_last_name']; ?></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_result_users['username']; ?></td> </tr> </table> <table id="events_table_results" width="500" name="events" border="0"> <tr> <td width="50" height="50"><a href="#profile.php"><img src="Images/<?php echo $row_event['event_thumb_url']; ?>" border="0" height="50" width="50"/></a></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_event['event_name']; ?></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_event['event_venue']; ?></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_event['event_date']; ?></td> </tr> </table> <table id="establishments_table_results" width="500" name="establishments" border="0"> <tr> <td width="50" height="50"><a href="#profile.php"><img src="Establishment_Images/<?php echo $row_establishment['establishment_thumb_url']; ?>" border="0" height="50" width="50"/></a></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_establishment['establishment_name']; ?></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_establishment['location_name']; ?></td> <td width="150" class="ordinary_text_12"><?php echo $row_establishment['establishment_pricing']; ?></td> </tr> </table> </div> I would want it such that if there are no results for my events table, the table does not show(there is no blank space between search results where event results should be because border=0). Can you hide entire tables?

The previous posts were: JMS Step 1 - How to Create a Simple JMS Queue in Weblogic Server 11g JMS Step 2 - Using the QueueSend.java Sample Program to Send a Message to a JMS Queue JMS Step 3 - Using the QueueReceive.java Sample Program to Read a Message from a JMS Queue JMS Step 4 - How to Create an 11g BPEL Process Which Writes a Message Based on an XML Schema to a JMS Queue Today we will create a BPEL process which will read (dequeue) the message from the JMS queue, which we enqueued in the last example. The JMS adapter will dequeue the full XML payload from the queue. 1. Recap and Prerequisites In the previous examples, we created a JMS Queue, a Connection Factory and a Connection Pool in the WebLogic Server Console. Then we designed and deployed a BPEL composite, which took a simple XML payload and enqueued it to the JMS queue. In this example, we will read that same message from the queue, using a JMS adapter and a BPEL process. As many of the configuration steps required to read from that queue were done in the previous samples, this one will concentrate on the new steps. A summary of the required objects is listed below. To find out how to create them please see the previous samples. They also include instructions on how to verify the objects are set up correctly. WebLogic Server Objects Object Name Type JNDI Name TestConnectionFactory Connection Factory jms/TestConnectionFactory TestJMSQueue JMS Queue jms/TestJMSQueue eis/wls/TestQueue Connection Pool eis/wls/TestQueue Schema XSD File The following XSD file is used for the message format. It was created in the previous example and will be copied to the new process. stringPayload.xsd <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?> <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"                 xmlns="http://www.example.org"                 targetNamespace="http://www.example.org"                 elementFormDefault="qualified">   <xsd:element name="exampleElement" type="xsd:string">   </xsd:element> </xsd:schema> JMS Message After executing the previous samples, the following XML message should be in the JMS queue located at jms/TestJMSQueue: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?><exampleElement xmlns="http://www.example.org">Test Message</exampleElement> JDeveloper Connection You will need a valid Application Server Connection in JDeveloper pointing to the SOA server which the process will be deployed to. 2. Create a BPEL Composite with a JMS Adapter Partner Link In the previous example, we created a composite in JDeveloper called JmsAdapterWriteSchema. In this one, we will create a new composite called JmsAdapterReadSchema. There are probably many ways of incorporating a JMS adapter into a SOA composite for incoming messages. One way is design the process in such a way that the adapter polls for new messages and when it dequeues one, initiates a SOA or BPEL instance. This is possibly the most common use case. Other use cases include mid-flow adapters, which are activated from within the BPEL process. In this example we will use a polling adapter, because it is the most simple to set up and demonstrate. But it has one disadvantage as a demonstrative model. When a polling adapter is active, it will dequeue all messages as soon as they reach the queue. This makes it difficult to monitor messages we are writing to the queue, because they will disappear from the queue as soon as they have been enqueued. To work around this, we will shut down the composite after deploying it and restart it as required. (Another solution for this would be to pause the consumption for the queue and resume consumption again if needed. This can be done in the WLS console JMS-Modules -> queue -> Control -> Consumption -> Pause/Resume.) We will model the composite as a one-way incoming process. Usually, a BPEL process will do something useful with the message after receiving it, such as passing it to a database or file adapter, a human workflow or external web service. But we only want to demonstrate how to dequeue a JMS message using BPEL and a JMS adapter, so we won’t complicate the design with further activities. However, we do want to be able to verify that we have read the message correctly, so the BPEL process will include a small piece of embedded java code, which will print the message to standard output, so we can view it in the SOA server’s log file. Alternatively, you can view the instance in the Enterprise Manager and verify the message. The following steps are all executed in JDeveloper. Create the project in the same JDeveloper application used for the previous examples or create a new one. Create a SOA Project Create a new project and choose SOA Tier > SOA Project as its type. Name it JmsAdapterReadSchema. When prompted for the composite type, choose Empty Composite. Create a JMS Adapter Partner Link In the composite editor, drag a JMS adapter over from the Component Palette to the left-hand swim lane, under Exposed Services. This will start the JMS Adapter Configuration Wizard. Use the following entries: Service Name: JmsAdapterRead Oracle Enterprise Messaging Service (OEMS): Oracle WebLogic JMS AppServer Connection: Use an application server connection pointing to the WebLogic server on which the JMS queue and connection factory mentioned under Prerequisites above are located. Adapter Interface > Interface: Define from operation and schema (specified later) Operation Type: Consume Message Operation Name: Consume_message Consume Operation Parameters Destination Name: Press the Browse button, select Destination Type: Queues, then press Search. Wait for the list to populate, then select the entry for TestJMSQueue , which is the queue created in a previous example. JNDI Name: The JNDI name to use for the JMS connection. As in the previous example, this is probably the most common source of error. This is the JNDI name of the JMS adapter’s connection pool created in the WebLogic Server and which points to the connection factory. JDeveloper does not verify the value entered here. If you enter a wrong value, the JMS adapter won’t find the queue and you will get an error message at runtime, which is very difficult to trace. In our example, this is the value eis/wls/TestQueue . (See the earlier step on how to create a JMS Adapter Connection Pool in WebLogic Server for details.) Messages/Message SchemaURL: We will use the XSD file created during the previous example, in the JmsAdapterWriteSchema project to define the format for the incoming message payload and, at the same time, demonstrate how to import an existing XSD file into a JDeveloper project. Press the magnifying glass icon to search for schema files. In the Type Chooser, press the Import Schema File button. Select the magnifying glass next to URL to search for schema files. Navigate to the location of the JmsAdapterWriteSchema project > xsd and select the stringPayload.xsd file. Check the “Copy to Project” checkbox, press OK and confirm the following Localize Files popup. Now that the XSD file has been copied to the local project, it can be selected from the project’s schema files. Expand Project Schema Files > stringPayload.xsd and select exampleElement: string . Press Next and Finish, which will complete the JMS Adapter configuration.Save the project. Create a BPEL Component Drag a BPEL Process from the Component Palette (Service Components) to the Components section of the composite designer. Name it JmsAdapterReadSchema and select Template: Define Service Later and press OK. Wire the JMS Adapter to the BPEL Component Now wire the JMS adapter to the BPEL process, by dragging the arrow from the adapter to the BPEL process. A Transaction Properties popup will be displayed. Set the delivery mode to async.persist. This completes the steps at the composite level. 3 . Complete the BPEL Process Design Invoke the BPEL Flow via the JMS Adapter Open the BPEL component by double-clicking it in the design view of the composite.xml, or open it from the project navigator by selecting the JmsAdapterReadSchema.bpel file. This will display the BPEL process in the design view. You should see the JmsAdapterRead partner link in the left-hand swim lane. Drag a Receive activity onto the BPEL flow diagram, then drag a wire (left-hand yellow arrow) from it to the JMS adapter. This will open the Receive activity editor. Auto-generate the variable by pressing the green “+” button and check the “Create Instance” checkbox. This will result in a BPEL instance being created when a new JMS message is received. At this point it would actually be OK to compile and deploy the composite and it would pick up any messages from the JMS queue. In fact, you can do that to test it, if you like. But it is very rudimentary and would not be doing anything useful with the message. Also, you could only verify the actual message payload by looking at the instance’s flow in the Enterprise Manager. There are various other possibilities; we could pass the message to another web service, write it to a file using a file adapter or to a database via a database adapter etc. But these will all introduce unnecessary complications to our sample. So, to keep it simple, we will add a small piece of Java code to the BPEL process which will write the payload to standard output. This will be written to the server’s log file, which will be easy to monitor. Add a Java Embedding Activity First get the full name of the process’s input variable, as this will be needed for the Java code. Go to the Structure pane and expand Variables > Process > Variables. Then expand the input variable, for example, "Receive1_Consume_Message_InputVariable > body > ns2:exampleElement”, and note variable’s name and path, if they are different from this one. Drag a Java Embedding activity from the Component Palette (Oracle Extensions) to the BPEL flow, after the Receive activity, then open it to edit. Delete the example code and replace it with the following, replacing the variable parts with those in your sample, if necessary.: System.out.println("JmsAdapterReadSchema process picked up a message"); oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement inputPayload =    (oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement)getVariableData(                           "Receive1_Consume_Message_InputVariable",                           "body",                           "/ns2:exampleElement");   String inputString = inputPayload.getFirstChild().getNodeValue(); System.out.println("Input String is " + inputPayload.getFirstChild().getNodeValue()); Tip. If you are not sure of the exact syntax of the input variable, create an Assign activity in the BPEL process and copy the variable to another, temporary one. Then check the syntax created by the BPEL designer. This completes the BPEL process design in JDeveloper. Save, compile and deploy the process to the SOA server. 3. Test the Composite Shut Down the JmsAdapterReadSchema Composite After deploying the JmsAdapterReadSchema composite to the SOA server it is automatically activated. If there are already any messages in the queue, the adapter will begin polling them. To ease the testing process, we will deactivate the process first Log in to the Enterprise Manager (Fusion Middleware Control) and navigate to SOA > soa-infra (soa_server1) > default (or wherever you deployed your composite to) and click on JmsAdapterReadSchema [1.0] . Press the Shut Down button to disable the composite and confirm the following popup. Monitor Messages in the JMS Queue In a separate browser window, log in to the WebLogic Server Console and navigate to Services > Messaging > JMS Modules > TestJMSModule > TestJMSQueue > Monitoring. This is the location of the JMS queue we created in an earlier sample (see the prerequisites section of this sample). Check whether there are any messages already in the queue. If so, you can dequeue them using the QueueReceive Java program created in an earlier sample. This will ensure that the queue is empty and doesn’t contain any messages in the wrong format, which would cause the JmsAdapterReadSchema to fail. Send a Test Message In the Enterprise Manager, navigate to the JmsAdapterWriteSchema created earlier, press Test and send a test message, for example “Message from JmsAdapterWriteSchema”. Confirm that the message was written correctly to the queue by verifying it via the queue monitor in the WLS Console. Monitor the SOA Server’s Output A program deployed on the SOA server will write its standard output to the terminal window in which the server was started, unless this has been redirected to somewhere else, for example to a file. If it has not been redirected, go to the terminal session in which the server was started, otherwise open and monitor the file to which it was redirected. Re-Enable the JmsAdapterReadSchema Composite In the Enterprise Manager, navigate to the JmsAdapterReadSchema composite again and press Start Up to re-enable it. This should cause the JMS adapter to dequeue the test message and the following output should be written to the server’s standard output: JmsAdapterReadSchema process picked up a message. Input String is Message from JmsAdapterWriteSchema Note that you can also monitor the payload received by the process, by navigating to the the JmsAdapterReadSchema’s Instances tab in the Enterprise Manager. Then select the latest instance and view the flow of the BPEL component. The Receive activity will contain and display the dequeued message too. 4 . Troubleshooting This sample demonstrates how to dequeue an XML JMS message using a BPEL process and no additional functionality. For example, it doesn’t contain any error handling. Therefore, any errors in the payload will result in exceptions being written to the log file or standard output. If you get any errors related to the payload, such as Message handle error ... ORABPEL-09500 ... XPath expression failed to execute. An error occurs while processing the XPath expression; the expression is /ns2:exampleElement. ... etc. check that the variable used in the Java embedding part of the process was entered correctly. Possibly follow the tip mentioned in previous section. If this doesn’t help, you can delete the Java embedding part and simply verify the message via the flow diagram in the Enterprise Manager. Or use a different method, such as writing it to a file via a file adapter. This concludes this example. In the next post, we will begin with an AQ JMS example, which uses JMS to write to an Advanced Queue stored in the database. • Edit TabControl template in Silverlight project

    - by philbrowndotcom
    I'm trying to modify the template for the TabControl in my silverlight application. I used Expression Blend to get the Template and copied it into my project. I did this before for Expander and got it to work with a few minor adjustments. The template for TabControl references the ns/assembly "clr-namespace:System.Windows.Controls.Primitives;assembly=System.Windows.Controls" and uses the TabPanel control from it. I can't seem to make a reference to this. I'm using silverlight 3 and .NET 3 Thanks <UserControl.Resources> <ControlTemplate x:Key="mytemplate" TargetType="sdk:TabControl"> <Grid> <VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> <VisualStateGroup x:Name="CommonStates"> <VisualStateGroup.Transitions> <VisualTransition GeneratedDuration="0"/> </VisualStateGroup.Transitions> <VisualState x:Name="Normal"/> <VisualState x:Name="Disabled"> <Storyboard> <DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="Opacity" Storyboard.TargetName="DisabledVisualTop"> <SplineDoubleKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="1"/> </DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames> <DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Opacity)" Storyboard.TargetName="DisabledVisualBottom"> <SplineDoubleKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="1"/> </DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames> <DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Opacity)" Storyboard.TargetName="DisabledVisualLeft"> <SplineDoubleKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="1"/> </DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames> <DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="(UIElement.Opacity)" Storyboard.TargetName="DisabledVisualRight"> <SplineDoubleKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="1"/> </DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames> </Storyboard> </VisualState> </VisualStateGroup> </VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups> <Grid x:Name="TemplateTop" Visibility="Collapsed"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <System_Windows_Controls_Primitives:TabPanel x:Name="TabPanelTop" Margin="2,2,2,-1" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> <Border BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" CornerRadius="0,0,3,3" MinWidth="10" MinHeight="10" Grid.Row="1"> <ContentPresenter x:Name="ContentTop" Cursor="{TemplateBinding Cursor}" HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding HorizontalAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding VerticalAlignment}"/> </Border> <Border x:Name="DisabledVisualTop" Background="#8CFFFFFF" CornerRadius="0,0,3,3" IsHitTestVisible="False" Opacity="0" Grid.Row="1" Grid.RowSpan="2" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> </Grid> <Grid x:Name="TemplateBottom" Visibility="Collapsed"> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <System_Windows_Controls_Primitives:TabPanel x:Name="TabPanelBottom" Margin="2,-1,2,2" Grid.Row="1" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> <Border BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" CornerRadius="3,3,0,0" MinWidth="10" MinHeight="10"> <ContentPresenter x:Name="ContentBottom" Cursor="{TemplateBinding Cursor}" HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding HorizontalAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding VerticalAlignment}"/> </Border> <Border x:Name="DisabledVisualBottom" Background="#8CFFFFFF" CornerRadius="3,3,0,0" IsHitTestVisible="False" Opacity="0" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> </Grid> <Grid x:Name="TemplateLeft" Visibility="Collapsed"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <System_Windows_Controls_Primitives:TabPanel x:Name="TabPanelLeft" Margin="2,2,-1,2" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> <Border BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" Grid.Column="1" CornerRadius="0,3,3,0" MinWidth="10" MinHeight="10"> <ContentPresenter x:Name="ContentLeft" Cursor="{TemplateBinding Cursor}" HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding HorizontalAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding VerticalAlignment}"/> </Border> <Border x:Name="DisabledVisualLeft" Background="#8CFFFFFF" Grid.Column="1" CornerRadius="0,3,3,0" IsHitTestVisible="False" Opacity="0" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> </Grid> <Grid x:Name="TemplateRight" Visibility="Collapsed"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <System_Windows_Controls_Primitives:TabPanel x:Name="TabPanelRight" Grid.Column="1" Margin="-1,2,2,2" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> <Border BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" CornerRadius="3,0,0,3" MinWidth="10" MinHeight="10"> <ContentPresenter x:Name="ContentRight" Cursor="{TemplateBinding Cursor}" HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding HorizontalAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding VerticalAlignment}"/> </Border> <Border x:Name="DisabledVisualRight" Background="#8CFFFFFF" CornerRadius="3,0,0,3" IsHitTestVisible="False" Margin="0" Opacity="0" Canvas.ZIndex="1"/> </Grid> </Grid> </ControlTemplate> </UserControl.Resources>
