  • Dependency issue when installing some packages with apt

    - by Julien Genestoux
We have a little trouble installing some php5-* packages. I am reallt not sure what is going on. We have the latest version of php5-common. # apt-get install php5-mcrypt Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: php5-mcrypt: Depends: php5-common (= 5.2.6.dfsg.1-1+lenny16) but 5.2.11-0.dotdeb.0 is to be installed E: Broken packages We get similar error with many other php5-* packages, like php5-imap.

  • mysqli_stmt_bind_param SQL Injection

    - by profitphp
Is there still an injection risk when using prepared statements and mysqli_stmt_bind_param? For example: $malicious_input = 'bob"; drop table users'; mysqli_stmt_bind_param($stmt, 's', $malicious_input); Behind the scenes does mysqli_stmt_bind_param pass this query string to mysql: SET @username = "bob"; drop table users"; Or does it perform the SET command through the API, or use some type of protection to keep this from happening?

  • IoC.Resolve vs Constructor Injection

    - by Omu
I heard a lot of people saying that it is a bad practice to use IoC.Resolve(), but I never heard a good reason why (if it's all about testing than you can just mock the container, and you're done). now the advantages of using Resolve instead of Constructor Injection is that you don't need to create classes that have 5 parameters in the constructor, and whenever you are going to create a instance of that class you're not gonna need to provide it with anything

  • Unity 2.0 and policy injection in .config

    - by marcusoft.net
I want to use unity (2.0) to resolve my dependencies in a way so that i can configure policy injection (policies, matching rules and call handlers) in the .config file. Or an other way to put it; i want my resolved objects to be "policy enabled", so that i can add and change to policies in config without have to recompile. Any ideas on how to do that?

  • Databinding between 2 Dependency Properties

    - by stefan.at.wpf
    Hello, I'm trying to do databinding between 2 Dependency Properties. I guess this should be quite easy, anyways I just don't get it. I already googled but I couldn't really find out what I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to bind the ControlPointProperty to the QuadraticBezierSegment.Point1Property, however it doesn't work. Thanks for any hint! class DataBindingTest : DependencyObject { // Dependency Property public static readonly DependencyProperty ControlPointProperty; // .NET wrapper public Point ControlPoint { get { return (Point)GetValue(DataBindingTest.ControlPointProperty); } set { SetValue(DataBindingTest.ControlPointProperty, value); } } // Register Dependency Property static DataBindingTest() { DataBindingTest.ControlPointProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("ControlPoint", typeof(Point), typeof(DataBindingTest)); } public DataBindingTest() { QuadraticBezierSegment bezier = new QuadraticBezierSegment(); // Binding Binding myBinding = new Binding(); myBinding.Source = ControlPointProperty; BindingOperations.SetBinding(bezier, QuadraticBezierSegment.Point1Property, myBinding); // Test Binding: Change the binding source ControlPoint = new Point(1, 1); MessageBox.Show(bezier.Point1.ToString()); // gives (0,0), should be (1,1) } }

  • How to deal with calculated values with Dependency Properties on a custom WPF control

    - by jpierson
To summarize what I'm doing, I have a custom control that looks like a checked listbox and that has two dependency properties one that provides a list of available options and the other that represents a enum flag value that combines the selection options. So as I mentioned my custom control exposes two different DependencyProperties, one of which is a list of options called Options and the other property called SelectedOptions is of a specific Enum type that uses the [Flags] attribute to allow combinations of values to be set. My UserControl then contains an ItemsControl similar to a ListBox that is used to display the options along with a checkbox. When the check box is checked or unchecked the SelectedOptions property should be updated accordingly by using the corresponding bitwise operation. The problem I'm experiencing is that I have no way other than resorting to maintaining private fields and handling property change events to update my properties which just feels unatural in WPF. I have tried using ValueConverters but have run into the problem that I can't really using binding with the value converter binding so I would need to resort to hard coding my enum values as the ValueConverter parameter which is not acceptable. If anybody has seen a good example of how to do this sanely I would greatly appreciate any input. Side Note: This has been a problem I've had in the past too while trying to wrap my head around how dependency properties don't allow calculated or deferred values. Another example is when one may want to expose a property on a child control as a property on the parent. Most suggest in this case to use binding but that only works if the child controls property is a Dependency Property since placing the binding so that the target is the parent property it would be overwritten when the user of the parent control wants to set their own binding for that property.

  • Build System with Recursive Dependency Aggregation

    - by radman
Hi, I recently began setting up my own library and projects using a cross platform build system (generates make files, visual studio solutions/projects etc on demand) and I have run into a problem that has likely been solved already. The issue that I have run into is this: When an application has a dependency that also has dependencies then the application being linked must link the dependency and also all of its sub-dependencies. This proceeds in a recursive fashion e.g. (For arguments sake lets assume that we are dealing exclusively with static libraries.) TopLevelApp.exe dependency_A dependency_A-1 dependency_A-2 dependency_B dependency_B-1 dependency_B-2 So in this example TopLevelApp will need to link dependency_A, dependency_A-1, dependency_A-2 etc and the same for B. I think the responsibility of remembering all of these manually in the target application is pretty sub optimal. There is also the issue of ensuring the same version of the dependency is used across all targets (assuming that some targets depend on the same things, e.g. boost). Now linking all of the libraries is required and there is no way of getting around it. What I am looking for is a build system that manages this for you. So all you have to do is specify that you depend on something and the appropriate dependencies of that library will be pulled in automatically. The build system I have been looking at is premake premake4 which doesn't handle this (as far as I can determine). Does anyone know of a build system that does handle this? and if there isn't then why not?

  • Ruby Gems Either/Or Dependency?

    - by Myron
My VCR gem currently depends on FakeWeb. I have it declared as a dependency in my gemspec. I'm working with the auther of WebMock (a library that provides similar functionality to FakeWeb) to get VCR to work with WebMock as well, so that users of VCR could use either FakeWeb or WebMock as the http stubbing library. When it comes time to release the next version of VCR, I'm not sure of the best way to handle these dependencies. VCR will depend on either WebMock, or FakeWeb (but doesn't need both), and will have certain version requirements for both. I could add both as dependencies to my gemspec, but when you use bundler, it bundles all gem dependencies--so both FakeWeb and Webmock will get bundled with the application. I've been thinking that maybe I won't declare either gem as a dependency, and check for the presence of either library at run-time (along with checking the version), and give the user a helpful error message if neither is present at a supported version. But I'm not really sure I like this approach either. Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to handle an either/or gem dependency? Thanks!

  • Android strict dependency checks in SDK 17

    - by Christine
This is not a question because I already found the answer. The new Android SDK 17 has a stricter dependency check on jar files. At the same time, they added a jar that I think wasn't there before. My project encountered a conflict between the new annotations.jar in the SDK and one that I already used. Replacing one by the other would work, if they have the same origin. My annotations.jar is from jetbrains, via a Guice dependency, so replacing it doesn't work. This is the error I got: [2012-03-22 10:54:27 - MyApp] Jar mismatch! Fix your dependencies [2012-03-22 10:54:46 - MyApp] Found 2 versions of annotations.jar in the dependency list, [2012-03-22 10:54:46 - MyApp] but not all the versions are identical (check is based on SHA-1 only at this time). • Ninject caching an injected DataContext? Lifecycle Management?

    - by awrigley
I had a series of very bizarre errors being thrown in my repositories. Row not found or changed, 1 of 2 updates failed... Nothing made sense. It was as if my DataContext instance was being cached... Nothing made sense and I was considering a career move. I then noticed that the DataContext instance was passed in using dependency injection, using Ninject (this is the first time I have used DI...). I ripped out the Dependency Injection, and all went back to normal. Instantly. So dependency injection was the issue, but I still don't know why. I am speculating that Ninject was caching the injected DataContext. Is this correct? Is there a way of configuring the lifecycle management of injected parameters? If so, what would be the best configuration to use to have the DataContext behave like a normal DataContext, ie, no caching across requests?

  • StructureMap Configuration Per Thread/Request for the Full Dependency Chain

    - by Phil Sandler
I've been using Structuremap for a few months now, and it has worked great on some smaller (green field) projects. Most of the configurations I have had to set up involve a single implementation per interface. In the cases where I needed to choose a specific implementation at runtime, I created a factory class that used ObjectFactory.GetNamedInstance<(). In the smaller projects, there were few enough of these cases where I was comfortable with the references to ObjectFactory. My understanding is that you want to limit these references as much as possible, and ideally only reference the ObjectFactory once. I am working to refactor a larger codebase to use IOC/StructureMap, and am finding that I may need many of these factory classes with ObjectFactory references to get what I need. Essentially, I am creating a "root service" with the ObjectFactory, so that everything in the dependency chain is managed by the container. The root service is created by name (i.e. "BuildCar", "BuildTruck"), and the services needed deeper in the dependency chain could also be constructed using the same name--so the "IAttachWheels" service could vary based on whether a car or truck is being built. Since the class that depends on IAttachWheels is the same in both configurations, I don't think I can use ConstructedBy in the registry to choose the implementation. Also, to be clear, the IAttachWheels implementations need to be managed by the container as well, because the dependency chain runs fairly deep. I looked briefly at Profiles as an option, but read (here on StackOverflow) that changing profiles essentially changes implementations for all threads. Is there a feature that is similar to profiles that is thread/request specific? Is the factory class that references ObjectFactory approach the right way to go? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  • Injecting dependency into entity repository

    - by Hubert Perron
Is there a simple way to inject a dependency into every repository instance in Doctrine2 ? I have tried listening to the loadClassMetadata event and using setter injection on the repository but this naturally resulted in a infinite loop as calling getRepository in the event triggered the same event. After taking a look at the Doctrine\ORM\EntityManager::getRepository method it seems like repositories are not using dependency injection at all, instead they are instantiated at the function level: public function getRepository($entityName) { $entityName = ltrim($entityName, '\\'); if (isset($this->repositories[$entityName])) { return $this->repositories[$entityName]; } $metadata = $this->getClassMetadata($entityName); $customRepositoryClassName = $metadata->customRepositoryClassName; if ($customRepositoryClassName !== null) { $repository = new $customRepositoryClassName($this, $metadata); } else { $repository = new EntityRepository($this, $metadata); } $this->repositories[$entityName] = $repository; return $repository; } Any ideas ?

  • Injecting Mockito mocks into a Spring bean

    - by teabot
I would like to inject a Mockito mock object into a Spring (3+) bean for the purposes of unit testing with JUnit. My bean dependencies are currently injected by using the @Autowired annotation on private member fields. I have considered using ReflectionTestUtils.setField but the bean instance that I wish to inject is actually a proxy and hence does not declare the private member fields of the target class. I do not wish to create a public setter to the dependency as I will then be modifying my interface purely for the purposes of testing. I have followed some advice given by the Spring community but the mock does not get created and the auto-wiring fails: <bean id="dao" class="org.mockito.Mockito" factory-method="mock"> <constructor-arg value="com.package.Dao" /> </bean> The error I currently encounter is as follows: ... Caused by: org...NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No matching bean of type [com.package.Dao] found for dependency: expected at least 1 bean which qualifies as autowire candidate for this dependency. Dependency annotations: { @org...Autowired(required=true), @org...Qualifier(value=dao) } at org...DefaultListableBeanFactory.raiseNoSuchBeanDefinitionException(D...y.java:901) at org...DefaultListableBeanFactory.doResolveDependency(D...y.java:770) If I set the constructor-arg value to something invalid no error occurs when starting the application context.

  • Dependency Injection with Spring/Junit/JPA

    - by Steve
I'm trying to create JUnit tests for my JPA DAO classes, using Spring 2.5.6 and JUnit 4.8.1. My test case looks like this: @RunWith(SpringJUnit4ClassRunner.class) @ContextConfiguration(locations={"classpath:config/jpaDaoTestsConfig.xml"} ) public class MenuItem_Junit4_JPATest extends BaseJPATestCase { private ApplicationContext context; private InputStream dataInputStream; private IDataSet dataSet; @Resource private IMenuItemDao menuItemDao; @Test public void testFindAll() throws Exception { assertEquals(272, menuItemDao.findAll().size()); } ... • How to Use Windsor without Property Injection

    - by Grandpappy
I am attempting to use the WindsorContainer, but I need to turn off Property Injection for the entire container. Here's the code I was trying, but it doesn't seem to have an effect. this.Container = new WindsorContainer(new XmlInterpreter(new ConfigResource("Dependencies"))); this.Container.Kernel.ComponentModelBuilder.RemoveContributor( this.Container.Kernel.ComponentModelBuilder.Contributors.OfType<Castle.MicroKernel.ModelBuilder.Inspectors.PropertiesDependenciesModelInspector>().Single() ); I'd rather not use the Attribute [DoNotWire] on my properties because I don't want my application to have to know it's running with Windsor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Serializing array in PHP, preventing injection

    - by Cyclone
I'm writing a PHP script which uses serialized arrays to store data. How can I prevent injection in serialization? It would be very easy to name your account: something";s:6:"access";s:5:"admin"; for a simple example. The user could then add the rest of the needed parameters somehow. Would addslashes work for this? Does the php unserialize pick up on that as being an escaped character? If so, is it possible to apply addslashes to an entire array without iterating through? Thanks for the help!

  • Cannot start session without errors in phpMyAdmin running Nginx with PHP-FPM

    - by Infinity
Whenever I open phpMyAdmin from my VPS I get the following error: Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. I have researched it, but cant seem to find a solution, I have done the following: Cleared cache and cookies Checked the php.ini (see below) Checked the logs (found nothing relevant) Given the correct permissions. [by sudo chown -R root:nginx /home/humza/pma] I am running Nginx with PHP-FPM, I have php-mysql and all that working fine but I can't get phpMyAdmin to work. I downloaded it off phpMyAdmin's website and extracted it, that's all. http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=6n57cW8H - my php.ini sessions bit http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=VaNP2TLi - my whole php.ini None of my logs have anything relevant. My error logs have other PHP errors but not this one and my access logs don't have anything either. I have checked my nginx logs and my PHP-FPM logs. I tried installing phpMyAdmin via yum and got a whole lot of dependency errors. • Sonar Analysis crashing with default configuration in Maven

    - by Robert Mandeville
I'm starting to experiment with Sonar, and having trouble. I'm running everything on the same Red Hat Linux server, against Java 1.6.10. I launched the server with "bin/linux-x86-32" (the JVM is 32-bit). The sonar.log shows no SEVERE or ERROR and one WARNING, that I'm using the default Derby database (I'll fix that once I get things running at all). I am trying to build a Maven project that builds a JAR. I made no Sonar-specific changes (other than one described below). I can run "mvn clean install" with no problem. However, if I then run "mvn -e sonar:sonar", I get the stacktrace listed below. The server logs no events. I added the dependency "commons-pool:commons-pool:20030825.183949, but to no avail. Any idea as to what I'm doing wrong? [INFO] Error stacktraces are turned on. [INFO] Scanning for projects... • Setting a "dependency property" in code

    - by Matt B
    I'm on a roll today... I have the following code delaring a dependency property inside a class called ActionScreen: #region Dependency Properties & Methods public string DescriptionHeader { get { return (string)GetValue(DescriptionHeaderProperty); } set { SetValue(DescriptionHeaderProperty, value); } } // Using a DependencyProperty as the backing store for DescriptionHeader. This enables animation, styling, binding, etc... public static readonly DependencyProperty DescriptionHeaderProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("DescriptionHeader", typeof(string), typeof(ActionScreen), new UIPropertyMetadata("xxx")); #endregion I bind to this property in my Xaml as so: <GridViewColumn DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Description}" Header="{Binding DescriptionHeader}" Width="350" /> Now I want to be able to set the parameter from my code behind when I recieve an event - but it's not working: public string DescColText { set { this.Dispatcher.Invoke(DispatcherPriority.Normal, new Action(delegate() { DescriptionHeader = value; })); } }

  • Autofac / MVC4 / WebApi (RC) Dependency Injection issue after upgrading from beta

    - by George D.
var resolver = new AutofacWebApiDependencyResolver(container); configuration.ServiceResolver.SetResolver(resolver); after updating to ASP.NET MVC4 (RC) I get the following error: 'System.Web.Http.HttpConfiguration' does not contain a definition for 'ServiceResolver' and no extension method 'ServiceResolver' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Web.Http.HttpConfiguration' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) I realize after reading this (http://www.asp.net/web-api/overview/extensibility/using-the-web-api-dependency-resolver) that these interfaces have changed, but I am not sure how to apply this change to how I use Autofac. Do i need to wait for a new release from Autofac or is there another way I can get past this.
