  Hi, Just started learning/reading about DI and IOC frameworks. Also I read many articles on SO and internet that say that one should prefer DI/IOC over singleton. Can anyone give/link examples of exactly how DI/IOC eliminates/solves the various issues regarding the Singleton pattern? (hopefully code and explanation for better understanding) Also given a system has already implemented Singleton pattern, how to refactor/implement DI/IOC for the same? (any examples for the same?) • "Invalid signature file" when attempting to run a .jar

  My java program is packaged in a jar file and makes use of an external jar library, bouncy castle. My code compiles fine, but running the jar leads to the following error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.SecurityException: Invalid signature file digest for Manifest main attributes I've googled for over an hour searching for an explanation and found very little of value. If anyone has seen this error before and could offer some help, I would be obliged.

• Weird Java Math ,10 ^ 1 = 11?

  For an exercise I was writing a loop that turns a string into an integer without using the built in functions by multiplying each individual value by its numerical position. 75 would be 7*(10 ^ 1) + 5*(10 ^ 0), for example. However, for some reason (10 ^ 1) keeps coming back as 11. Is there some mistake I have made or an explanation for this?

  Hi, Is it better to have a field status enum('active', 'hidden', 'deleted') OR status tinyint(3) with a lookup table. Assume that status can take only one value at a time. In particular, I am interested in knowing, are operations on enum significantly slower than or as fast as operations on int ? • Slow performance of System.Math library in .NET4/VS2010

  My application compiled in .NET 4 seems to be performing really slow compared to .NET 3.5. When I did the performance analysis, I found out that the System.Math libraries in VS2010/.NET 4 have slowed down considerably. Any explanation to this?   Hi, I have a rough understanding of how the compilers work (I mean languages, grammars, lexical analysis, parsing etc). The rule engines have various rules and associated action, just like you have rules in the grammars and you can associate actions with them in parser-generator tools like ANTLR.   When I build my solution, it complains about a missing referenced DLL. When I rebuild it, the problem goes away. Whenever I do a clean this returns, i.e. have to attempt a build twice before it succeeds. This is vague, but if warranted I can give a better explanation of solution structure.
