  • VS2008 intellisense performance issue with large number of partial static classes

    My question is a follow-up to the issue posted here regarding the Intellisense performance issue when building a large solution in VS2008 that has many partial static classes. Since Microsoft does not seem to be addressing the issue for VS2008, I would like to know if there are other ways around the problem? Waiting for VS2010 is not an option at this time. The proposed solution in the previous post is not practical as some of the partial classes may be regenerated and this would be a maintenance headache.

    I've been sitting over this the whole day and Im a little tired already so please excuse me being brief. Im new to python. I just rewrrote a working program, into a bunch of functions in a class and everzthings messed up. I dont know if its me but Im very surprised i couldn t find a beginners tutorial on how to handle classes on the web so I have a few questions. First of all, in the init section of the class i have declared a bunch of variables with self.variable=something. Is it correct that i should be able to access/modify these variables in every function of the class by using self.variable in that function? In other words by declaring self.variable i have made these variables, global variables in the scope of the class right? If not how do i handle self. ? Secondly how do i correctly pass arguments to the class? some example code would be cool. thirdly how do i call a function of the class outside of the class scope? some example code would be cool. fouthly how do I create an Instance of the class INITIALCLASS in another class OTHERCLASS, passing variables from OTHERCLASS to INITIALCLASS? some example code would be cool. I Want to call a function from OTHERCLASS with arguments from INITIALCLASS. In general i havent udnerstood the mechanics of classes So please help me and explain it to me like i have no Idea( which i dont it seems). Or point me to a thorough video, or readable tutorial. All i find on the web is super simple examples, that didnt help me much.   • Eclipse Doesn't List Classes Within Java Packages

    Usually when I'm typing a Java import statement in Eclipse or otherwise referencing a class via the packages that it is in, Eclipse shows a context menu with a list of all classes within that package. There have been several times, however, that it would only shows subpackages within a package and would not show classes within that package. Does anyone know why this is? It sounds like a setting/preference was changed, but I never knowingly changed anything related to this.

    I have a form for creating a new account and it has a password field in it. I'm using view models to pass data to the controller action and back to the form view. When the user enters their details in, and clicks submit, if validation fails and it returns them to the same view passing back in the view model, it won't default the password to what they entered. How can I get it to do this? Or should I even try?

It doesn't know class (So I can't use casting) but just needs to call some methods of that class (every class should have that methods). I thought about interfaces but I don't know how.     I got a script component which does Transformation / DataType conversions / Creating some calculated columns. All the transform validations / datatype conversion methods and for new column generation is put into custom .dll. As this script component would be same for all other tables, only thing is to define input / ouput columns and apply validation methods on required columns. This all works fine. On production server where do I need to deploy my .dll. Would just putting it into GAC will be enough or need to do something else. Regards

When we double click on it it is showing its main window. :) I could add some criterias to make automatic commit(and maybe update). For ex: if a file changes or if files to be deleted, you can commit. The best part of this program is: "it is FREE" I don't remember exactly but i think it has M name in its name (but i don't remember). I think this program written by an Italian man. And its web site was very simple (and i think its fonts were green)

    I'm making a little application in Actionscript 3. In my initApp.as I have created another class which needs to edit the currentState, which is only accessible from the main .as (initApp.as). I found a solution such that I can reach the currentState property from my other class: Application.application.currentState. This is however not a good solution as it couples the classes too much.. is there a better way of editing the currentState from other classes?

  • Referencing groups/classes from Puppet dashboard in my site manifest

    I'm using Puppet Dashboard as my ENC and I'm not sure how to reference or use class and group classifications from /etc/puppet/manifests/site.pp. I have two groups defined in the dashboard: CentOS6 and SLES11. What should my site.pp look like if I want to include a certain list of modules in the CentOS6 group and a certain list of modules in the SLES11 group? I'm trying to do something like this: # /etc/puppet/manifests/site.pp node basenode { include hosts include ssh::server include ssh::client include authentication include sudo include syslog include mail } node 'CentOS6' inherits basenode { include profile } node 'SLES11' inherits basenode { include usrmounts } I have OS-specific case statements within my modules, but there are some modules that will only be applied to a certain distro. So I suppose I have two questions: Is this the best way to apply modules/resources in an OS-specific manner? Or does the above make you want to vomit? Regardless of #1, I'm still curious as how to reference classes, groups, and nodes from Dashboard within my manifests. I've read the External Nodes doc, but I'm not seeing how they correspond to manifests. Thanks all.

  • Java/BlackBerry build error overriding too many classes

    Hey everyone, Has anyone ever heard of overriding too many classes in Java? Perhaps this issue is just related to BlackBerry development, but I was wondering if it is an issue in Java, too. Let's say I have the following: LabelField lblTitle = new LabelField(title) { protected void paint(Graphics graphics) { graphics.setColor(0x00FFFFFF); graphics.clear(); super.paint(graphics); } }; LabelField lblSubTitle = new LabelField(releaseYear + ", " + rating) { protected void paint(Graphics graphics) { graphics.setColor(0x00FFFFFF); graphics.clear(); super.paint(graphics); } }; This code works. However, I've noticed that by overriding the paint() method multiple times in many different classes throughout my project, I receive the error: I/O Error: Cannot run program "jar": CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified My only solution thus far is to clean up my GUI code...minimize it and reuse it. Perhaps its good that this happened so I can be less careless about creating GUI code all over my classes. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this before.
