  • Add a hidden view above a UITableView that is only displayed when TableView is scrolled up

    Goal/Situation: I currently have a UIView in the TableView header. I am trying to add another UIView (which contains two Buttons and a few TextFields) that will sit above the TableView header. I would like the view to be displayed when the user scrolls up past the header (a la "pull to refresh"), and go away when the user presses a "done" button on the view. My two questions: 1) How do I add a view above the tableview header? 2) How do I display said view when a user has scrolled up past the header? 3) How do I dismiss said view when the user has pressed a button on said view?

    Hi , I have paypal sandbox test account. I want to create a 'buy Now' button. I am trying it with GWT. But its even not working with simple HTML form. It displays a 'Buy Now' button on HTML page and after clicking on it redirects to PayPal site. Where it ask to login to buy product but after that it goes on displying message: The email address or password you have entered does not match our records. Please try again. I am using buyer user to purchase product. I am pretty sure about the username and password.     Hi I have an onChange event that keeps bringing up the error below whenever I preview it. 'Object doesnt support this property or method' I have the onChange event associated with a picklist and when a specific option is selected another field is unhidden.     Hey, I have a page going here that uses jQuery: http://treethink.com/services What I am trying to do is, if a slide or sub-page is shown in there, change the background colour and colour of the button. To do this I tried saying, if a certain div is shown, the background colour of a certain button changes. However, you can see there that it isn't working properly, it is changing the colour for the web one but not removing the colour change and adding a colour change on a different button when you change pages.     Sorry for the unclear title, an example will clear things up: TABLE: Scenario_victories ID scenid timestamp userid side playdate 1 RtBr001 2010-03-15 17:13:36 7 1 2010-03-10 2 RtBr001 2010-03-15 17:13:36 7 1 2010-03-10 3 RtBr001 2010-03-15 17:13:51 7 2 2010-03-10 ID and timestamp are auto-insertions by the database when the other 4 fields are added. The first thing to note is that a user can record multiple playings of the same scenario (scenid) on the same date (playdate) possibly with the same outcome (side = winner). Hence the need for the unique ID and timestamps for good measure. Now, on their user page, I'm displaying their recorded play history in a <select><option>... list form with 2 buttons at the end - Delete Record and Go to Scenario My script takes the scenid and after hitting a few other tables returns with something more user-friendly like: (playdate) (from scenid) (from side) ######################################################### # 2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won # # 2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won # # 2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Soviet Union won # ######################################################### [Delete Record] [Go To Scenario] in HTML: <select name="history" size=3> <option>2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won</option> <option>2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Germany, Hungary won</option> <option>2010-03-10 Road to Berlin #1 -- Soviet Union won</option> </select> Now, if you were to highlight the first record and click Go to Scenario there is enough information there for me to parse it and produce the exact scenario you want to see. However, if you were to select Delete Record there is not - I have the playdate and I can parse the scenid and side from what's listed, but in this example all three records would have the same result. I appear to have painted myself into a corner. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get some unique identifying data (ID and/or timestamp) to ride along on this form without showing it to the user? PHP-only please, I must be NoScript compliant!

Renaming B.X not to hide A.X is not a preferred way. To make things a bit complicated, in the situation I have encountered this problem the traits have type parameters (not shown in this example).

    I just saw an Eclipse tips & tricks post and was wondering if anyone had any tips & tricks for my IDE of choice: NetBeans. Here's a few I know and find to be useful: Removing a package: After you remove a package in NetBeans, it sticks around as a grayed-out package in your Project view. To get rid of that, switch to Files view and delete the directory. Alt-Insert (in Windows) opens up a Generate submenu at your cursor. A nice shortcut for quickly generating getters/setters (among other things). Selecting a chunk of code, right-clicking and then clicking "Refactor Introduce Method" will have NetBeans introduce a method, complete with arguments and return value. Of course you have to make sure the chunk of code only has one return value. Sometimes when you run a build and it crashes, the Java window sticks around at the bottom. I used to just click X until Windows let me End Task, but there's a nicer way to get rid of them. Click "Run Stop Build/Run" and NetBeans will close the window for you. It'll even let you close multiple applications at once. These may seem obvious to grizzled NetBeans developers, but I thought they might be useful for NetBeans newbs like me. Anyone else have any tips/tricks to share? Here are some from the comments: NetBeans allows for code templates. You can even add yours on the Code Templates tab under the Editor settings on the Options window. Some examples: Type sout and hit the tab key as a shorcut for System.out.println("") Type psvm and hit the tab key as a shorcut for public static void main(String args[]) {} Ctrl Shift C: Comments out the selected block of code. Alt Shift F: Formats the selected block of code. Ctrl E: Deletes current line. Ctrl Shift I: Fixes your imports, handy if you've just written a piece of code that needs a lot of packages imported.

    Can the browser feature of contrl+F to find text be integrated with text in popup windows. I'd like to have some scientific reference information given when someone hovers over a species name in a web page. Generating the popup, tooltip style text is no problem, the problem is that anyone using Ctrl+F won't be able to find it, or if I position the text out of view when not required, it will be found but be invisible. The same sort of effect applies to "accordion" style expanding text areas. I'm looking for some sort of event generated when find is highlighting a result.

  • Passing hash as values in hidden_field_tag

    I am trying to pass some filters in my params through a form like so: hidden_field_tag "filters", params[:filters] For some reason the params get changed in the next page. For example, if params[:filters] used to be... "filters"={"name_like_any"=["apple"]} [1] ...it gets changed to... "filters"="{\"name_like_any\"=[\"apple\"]}" [2] note the extra quotations and backslashes in [2] when compared to [1]. Any ideas? I'm attempting to use this with searchlogic for some filtering, but I need it to persist when I change change objects in forms. I would prefer not to have to store it in session.

  • What is the full "for" loop syntax in C (and others in case they are compatible) ?

    I have seen some very weird for loops when reading other people's code. I have been trying to search for a full syntax explanation for the for loop in C but it is very hard because the word "for" appears in unrelated sentences making the search almost impossible to Google effectively. This question came to my mind after reading this thread which made me curious again. The for here: for(p=0;p+=(a&1)*b,a!=1;a>>=1,b<<=1); In the middle condition there is a comma separating the two pieces of code, what does this comma do? The comma on the right side I understand as it makes both a>>=1 and b<<=1. But within a loop exit condition, what happens? Does it exit when p==0, when a==1 or when both happen? It would be great if anyone could help me understand this and maybe point me in the direction of a full for loop syntax description.

I was thinking to revise the answer (to include my findings) but I had to test it first, which kind of confused me. My finding is that depending on where your marker is when you press Ctrl - K, Ctrl - C you will get either // or /* */. So I tried it out on the following code: [1] [2]FD_ZERO(&mFSet); FD_SET(user->mSender, &mFSet); timeval zeroTime = { 0, 0 }; int sel = select(0, NULL, &mFSet, NULL, &zeroTime); [3] if (sel == SOCKET_ERROR){ [5]return false; [4] } if (sel == 0){ [6] return false; [7] } The [x] is markerpositions. All [1] positions give // for all marked lines. However Start position End Position: gives: [2] [3] : /* */ [2] [4] : // [2] [5] : /* */ [2] [more than 5] : // [5] [6] : /* */ [5] [7] : // I guess it has to do with forward indentation (not backwards), that whenever code is indented more than the starting line you get // except when you haven't selected any text on the indented line ([2] [5]). But why the distinction? Why not use /* */ for when you start at [2] and // when you start at [1]?

  • Visual Studio Freezing/TFS Window Might be off screen

    I am using Visual Studio 2005 with Team Foundation Server. When I right click a file under the source control and choose "compare" VS appears to freeze until I hit escape. My guess is that the window that is supposed to be popping up is somewhere I can't get to. I tried minimizing all the windows that I can and it is nowhere to be found.

    I want to send data to server by enclosing it in a form. However, in asp.net I can't use more than one form with runat=server attribute. Then what is the use of using multiple forms on asp.net page. I can't access the data on the server? Like facebook enclose each post feedback data in a form and then submits this to server. How to do this in asp.net. I have to send data to server when some action occurs on a post but will have to store hiddenfield and read it with javascript is it not seems messy?

  • Will the program installed in a folder function properly if I remove the write permission in linux? [on hold]

    I have a user account on a cluster( a server), and can only install program like python on the home folder. In case I might accidentally delete the bin, lib, share,include folders coming with the installation of python on the home folder. I change the permissions of the above folder like this chmod -w folder but I am worried when the program need to write/delete some files of the folders, it might not function because the removal of write permission. Am I right? or I the run, including write files in the folder, of a program have permissions different than the permission of user. BTW, is there a way to hide the folders without changing the names?

  • Is it possible to make the desktop background transparent or otherwise hidden?

    I'm running Ubuntu in a virtual machine via VirtualBox. I have the seamless mode turned on, which is pretty cool. However, if I move an Ubuntu window around quickly, I can see the redraw of the ubuntu background quickly before it's hidden by VirtualBox again. This isn't a huge deal, but I'd like to fix it, if possible. I see two possible options that don't involve changing VirtualBox code: 1. Make the Ubuntu desktop transparent 2. Make the Ubuntu desktop hidden entirely Is it possible to do either? I know that Compiz Fusion has/had a feature to do this for their cube effects, but I don't think that I can run this on the VM. And, even if I could, I don't want to run those services for this one small feature.

    This question already has an answer here: How bad is it to use display: none in CSS? 5 answers I have 2 divs next to each other, div A and div B. Div A displays a whole wordpress post and div B displays about 15 excerpts of posts with the same tag. To get this looking nice I set the hight of div B to be the same as the hight of div A with javaScript. This means alot of post excerpts will be hidden due to overflow hidden on div B. Will Google penalise me for this, and if so, how can I make this work and still please Google? Ps. I would gladly prevent the excerpts from being indexed but the main post must be indexed Ds.
