• Running qinet on windows 7

  Hello. Last week I was running this tn5257 emulator for as400. And no I can't as soon as it starts it closes down. I already turned off the firewall thinking it could be that, but it isn't. • Network Printers

  We have a sever that shares all the printers. The PC's that are running on XP professional get a error message quoting (Connect to Printer). The only way I can find to get around the problem is by restating the printer and as soon is it comes online you can then add it but you have not got long. do you think it could be anything to-do with updates on the sever? the sever system is running Windows Server 2003 any help would be much appreciated. I use TrueImage on a regular basis to make backups, and to upgrade my harddrive without reinstalling everything. Will I be able to restore and boot onto an SSD? Will there be a performance hit or other issues to watch out for?

  I have a macbook pro but my Built-in stereo speakers don't work and it comes a red light from Headphone out/optical digital audio out port. my Built-in stereo speakers aren't dead because at first that OS runs it comes a sound from them but as soon as the macbook pro is ready when i play music they don't work and In the SOUND in system preferences the name of device for sound output is Digital Out. Is the problem from hardware or software. Is there any solution?

  I like the Linux-Mint 13 Mate Alt-F1 menu and the Alt-F2 run-dialog, but as soon as I installed Compiz those keys became non-functional. Conpiz has a Gnome compaatibility settings panel which allows you to set these keys, but using that Compix settings panel did not make any diference (probably because Mate is not Gnome, strictly speaking)... Is there some way to get those two shortcut keys back into acton with Compiz?

Now I take it back to it's original location and plug in the OEM mouse and keyboard and they both work until Windows XP loads.   I'm working on this emergency open wi-fi network project and it includes a local website (nginx + MySQL). In order to eliminate SPOFs, we're going to setup at least two of everything (server, switch, router, etc.). This network is thought to work when an earthquake strikes and it's very likely to a server to go to down, if so, we need to be able to boot them up and be operating as soon as possible.   I'm going to be building a fancy new desktop soon, and I want to experiment with file systems. I know that ext3 is the most common for linux, but what about ext4, or zfs? Are their any pros or cons to certain ones? I won't be doing anything spectacularly off the wall, just using it as my main box. It is a good possibility that it will double as my web server, though.

  I installed and configured Apache Mobile Filter module for Apache to redirect users to mobile version of our website, depending on their user agents. I configured the module to use WURFL. But as soon as I start Apache it hogs a large amount of memory (without any in-coming web requests): Resident Memory: 300 to 400 MB Virtual Memory: 300 to 650 MB Without this module, Apache was consuming much lesser memory (4 to 10 MB). What could be the reason here?

• Clear Type problem in Windows 7

  I try to tune ClearType in Windows 7 x64 using the ClearType Text Tuner. I can choose whatever options I want on the first 3 pages, but on the last page, whatever I choose is reverted as soon as I click finish. Next time I run the tuner I can see that the second option is selected, not the option that I wanted (the last one). Has anybody else found this odd behavior?
