    I have a page that loads and after it loads, it pulls in a list of LIs to populate a news feed. quick view quick view quick view I'm trying to get fancy box to trigger when a user clicks on quick view but haven't had any luck.   • can not get jplayer plugin to work

    Hello, I hope somebody has some experience with the jplayer plugin I have been staring at the sourcecode of the demo's and looking in firebug, but I can't see why it is not showing at all. It also try's to use the flash file, but in other examples the embed code does not show up in the container div either.   • Delete merge history in a branch in TFS

    Suppose I have a main branch and a dev branch. Suppose I merge some stuff from dev into main. I check in the merge Now I decide "whoops, the dev branch wasn't really ready for me to merge into main yet." I want to tell TFS: remove that change set from main and forget that the merge ever happened. Rolling back the changeset is easy enough -- I can use the TFS powertools ROLLBACK command. on the Main branch (with the /changeset /recursive flags) However, I will get a warning from the rollback that the merge history for the files has not been deleted. Effect: Later, when dev is ready to be merged into main, the changes in the files that were rolled back previously are NOT merged into Main (this is because TFS "thinks" that those merges are already done. My goal: When I rollback, make TFS remove the merge history so that when I merge dev into main later on, everything merges. How can I do that? BTW: I'm using TFS 2008 SP1

There are a lot of philosophies on development of software. Like the UNIX-philosophy. Often vague and not easy to understand. I am looking for statements such as the one cited below. Which you can ask about the software when it's in the design-stage, is ready to be coded, and has been coded and is ready for launch. The software I am talking about, is of course the software made for the end-user. Ken Rockwell wrote: "I expect that it will let me get more accomplished in less time."     Hi, I'm trying to use the markitup editor on my site and I'm having a problem trying to figure out what I need to do to submit the text area to my server side script. I'm guessing there is something simple that needs to be done but my lack of JS/JQuery knowledge is making it really hard to find a answer The editor works fine, I just want to use my own form and submit button with it, however when I try to submit the form I don't get any of the textarea data in my script. Any idea what I need to do?     I am having a timing issue when attempting to slide down my more info div. My desired functionality is that the div slidesdown from the top once the page has already been rendered. My problem is if I use $(document).ready().. the animation does not visibly occur. Here is my code: $(document).ready(function() { $(".MoreInfo").slideDown('slow'); }); If I strap it to some other element's click for example, it works beautifully. But I am not sure how to make it visibly slide down once the page has loaded. Thanks!

  • Pre-generating GUIDs for use in python?

    I have a python program that needs to generate several guids and hand them back with some other data to a client over the network. It may be hit with a lot of requests in a short time period and I would like the latency to be as low as reasonably possible. Ideally, rather than generating new guids on the fly as the client waits for a response, I would rather be bulk-generating a list of guids in the background that is continually replenished so that I always have pre-generated ones ready to hand out. I am using the uuid module in python on linux. I understand that this is using the uuidd daemon to get uuids. Does uuidd already take care of pre-genreating uuids so that it always has some ready? From the documentation it appears that it does not. Is there some setting in python or with uuidd to get it to do this automatically? Is there a more elegant approach then manually creating a background thread in my program that maintains a list of uuids?

    Hello ::- ). I'm playing with some Opera User JS. I included "1jquery.min.js" in my User JS folder (1 in front because Opera loads them alphabetically). Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be working. window.onload = OnWindowLoad; $(document).ready(function() { alert ($('#area_19')); }); function OnWindowLoad () { alert ($('#area_19')); alert(document.getElementById("area_19")); } What's interesting about this code is that the first two alerts come back in NULL, but the last one does find the object! So the element definitely exists in the page, but my jQuery seems unable to get it. What's even stranger is that the jQuery "ready" function works, indicating that I do have jQuery capability. I'm quite puzzled about all this ::- /. Hopefully somebody can give me a clue ::- ).

The Service S is responsible for preprocessing, such as preparing the data shown on the UI of the Activity A, before the Activity A gets invoked. I want to be able to invoke the Service S from outside the package, say from another Android app's Activity class B, do the preprocessing, and then when the data is ready, invoke Activity A. My questions are: What is the best way to share data between the Service S and Activity A?   • Can mouseenter be made to not fire in IE on DOMready?

    jQuery emulates IE's mouseenter event on non-IE browsers. In IE, however, mouseenter is being triggered when the page loads (maybe due to jQuery's use of doScroll in the $.ready implementation), even if the mouse is not moved at all. This doesn't happen in other browsers and definitely doesn't follow Microsoft's own spec, which says (emphasis mine): The event fires only if the mouse pointer is outside the boundaries of the object and the user moves the mouse pointer inside the boundaries of the object. If the mouse pointer is currently inside the boundaries of the object, for the event to fire, the user must move the mouse pointer outside the boundaries of the object and then back inside the boundaries of the object. This only becomes an issue of usability if hover (or the hoverIntent plugin) is applied to a navigational item to display a drop down or "mega-menu": In IE, mouseenter will fire immediately after $.ready, obscuring the content with the menu. I've put together a demonstration of both the mouseenter inconsistency and the usability issue it creates.

    I read Apple is allowing developers to submit iPad apps for the great opening of the ipad store, but I cannot find anything in my account that says that or allows sending the apps. Another thing is: in order for an app to be accepted you have to sign it with your own certificate but to do that you have to select the device on Xcode. As far as I know, Xcode do not signs with certificates applications that run on the simulator. Beyond that, any try to build a distribution package on Xcode shows messages like "you should disable armv6", and others. So, I ask. Is this news true? If yes, how to I manage to have the app ready for iPad and ready for submission? thanks.
