  When I checkout, checkin, rename soemthing in Vs 2008 SP1 while I have the project open in Expression Blend 3, these changes are not updated in Blend until I close and reopen the solution in blend or I try to checkout/checkin an item that is aready checked out. Is this a known bug? And is there a workaround?

  Hi, I have downloaded WCF RIA Services Beta from the following website: WCF RIA Services Beta for Visual Studio 2008 SP1 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=76bb3a07-3846-4564-b0c3-27972bcaabce&displaylang=en#filelist But I am unable to add a reference to the following assembly : system.Windows.Ria.Data I searched at the downloaded location c:\Program files\Microsoft SDK's\RIA Services but i am unable to find this dll. Would appreciate if you could point me what I am missing here.

  After watching in horror as the .net framework 3.5 SP1 bloated to whopping 231 MB I was amazed to see that .NET Framework 4 Full (x86) is only 35 MB and client profile just 29 MB... My question is if .NET Framework 4 is in any way dependent on previous versions of the framework(s) being installed on the client machine or if my users will have to download only 29 (or 35) MB if I develop a Winforms or WPF desktop application in VS 2010 targeting the .NET Framework 4?

  I get this exception when my client application is trying to deserialize a message comming from WCF service ("Incorrect wire-type deserializing TimeSpan"). There was no assembly on the .net reference or on the COM. I searched for the file, but it was not on the machine. Actually, the dotTrace button in VisualStudio is also greyed out. the VisualStudio AddIns menu list dotTrace as started.   I have a page that uses routing and it works fine under Visual web developer. But when I deployed to IIS 7. The page that uses routing doesn't seem to recognize the user is logged in. I have confirmed that I am including shobjidl.h (but I checked and this file only defines up to ITaskbarList2).   Tried to install some program, it gives above message requiring 1.1.4322. BUT as the title says, all the frameworks are already installed on my WinXP SP2, if i inspect C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\ The machine has VS2008 which essentially required full installtion of Framework 3.5 SP1. Any ideas? (i know, just re-install framework 1.1 again, but why should i - I can see all Frameworks are installed, and things are supposed to be backward compatible.
