  • Having Latest Tests Results info in the notified email with Hudson

    I have a project with a lot of tests failing, so it would be great for me to receive by email the number of failed tests compare from the latest build. What i need is just the info that appears in the project's page by the test results link: Latest Test Result (10 failures / -2) Is this possible? I've already tried the email-ext plugin, but it is not telling me that info (I can have the list of failing tests with output etc., but I really just need that info above). Any ideas?

    I have started using MVVM pattern recently. I have had several projects where I used it and with every new one, I start to see that it will fit great within that new project. And now I start to ask myself are there situation when it's better NOT to use MVVM. Or is it such a nice pattern which you can use anywhere? Could you please describe several scenarios where MVVM wouldn't be the best choice?

Any idea why? The changeType is "4" every time. Thanks.

The time macro returns the value of the evaluated function, which makes it great to use it inline. However I want to automatically measure the runtime under specific circumstances. is there a function which returns the elapsed time in some library to hep with this benchmarking?

I would like to be able to 'parse' in all the words and get a ranking of the most used words (disregarding common words) to spot a trend. How can I do this? Is there a program I can use?     Guys, in one of the excersises in TC++PL B.S. asks to: "Write a function that either returns a value or that throws that value based on an argument. Measure the difference in run-time between the two ways." Great pity he never explaines how to measure such things. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to write simple "time start, time end" counter or maybe there are more effective and practical ways to do it? Thanks in advance.

    Does anybody know a tool, preferably for the Explorer context menu, to recursively change the encoding of files in a project from / to UTF-8 and other encodings? Freeware or not too expensive would be great. Edit: Thanks for the answers, +1 for all of them as they are all fine but I am a lazy bastard sometimes, and would really like to be able to just right click a folder and say "convert all .php files to UTF-8". :) Further suggestions are appreciated.

  • Changing UI color in Eclipse

    I'm aware of this topic: I've used it to change most of the editor colors, and that's great. But that wasn't enought, there's still too much white (and I need to change it because it hurts my eyes). I've searched in the preferences (both using Eclipse itself and editing the files) for instances of while (255,255,255) and changed them all.
