  • Symfony 2 - UrlGenerator::doGenerate is called before listener

    I want to add to the context a parameter, so when login is called I can use it in the route (similar to _locale). I can add this piece of code in HttpUtils.php (as resetLocale), but i don't find it very clean. The reason I need it is the firewall redirection to the login controller, which I would like to have in its route a customized parameter. My problem is that my listener is called after UrlGenerator::doGenerate is called, so I get a MissingMandatoryParametersException. Here is my config.yml relevant code: services: mycompany.demobundle.listener.request: class: MyCompany\DemoBundle\RequestListener arguments: [@router, @security.context] tags: - { name: kernel.event_listener, event: kernel.request, method: onKernelRequest } Any idea???

  • Prevent ASP.NET from encoding strings on output

    How can I stop ASP.Net from encoding anchor tags in List Items when the page renders? I have a collection of objects. Each object has a link property. I did a foreach and tried to output the links in a BulletedList, but ASP encoded all the links. Any idea? Thanks! Here's the offending snippet of code.     Rails and MySQL: I have a table with several boolean columns representing tags. I want to find all the rows for which a specific one of these columns is 'true' (or I guess in the case of MySQL, '1'). I have the following code in my view. @tag = params[:tag] @supplies = Supply.find(:all, :conditions=>["? IS NOT NULL and ? !=''", @tag, @tag], :order=>'name') The @tag is being passed in from the url. Why is it then that I am instead getting all of my @supplies (i.e. every row) rather than just those that are true for the column for @tag. Thanks!

But evaling is not that safe. Is there a better option that I am missing.

    Hello, does anyone knows a file format for configuration files easy to read by humans? I want to have something like tag = value where value may be: String Number(int or float) Boolean(true/false) Array(of String values, Number values, Boolean values) Another structure(it will be more clear what I mean in the fallowing example) Now I use something like this: IntTag=1 FloatTag=1.1 StringTag="a string" BoolTag=true ArrayTag1=[1 2 3] ArrayTag2=[1.1 2.1 3.1] ArrayTag3=["str1" "str2" "str3"] StructTag= { NestedTag1=1 NestedTag2="str1" } and so on. Parsing is easy but for large files I find it hard to read/edit in text editors. I don't like xml for the same reason, it's hard to read. INI does not support nesting and I want to be able to nest tags. I also don't want a complicated format because I will use limited kind of values as I mentioned above. Thanks for any help.

  • Arguments to convince to switch from CVS to SVN

    Hi, The UNIX department of my company currently uses CVS as source-version control system. They use it in a very strange way: different repositories for development/testing/production code (for the same project), no one tags anything, weird directory architecture, and so on. The system has been set for ages but now, I have an opportunity to organize a meeting where I have to suggest changes. I'd like to make them change from CVS to SVN (Mercurial or Git might be even better, however I can't really recommand using a system I don't know well, and switching to SVN will already be a great step forward). I don't have much experience with CVS so I can't compare them efficiently: I just know it doesn't support atomic operations and that it is deprecated. What killer arguments would you use to convince my collegues to do the switch ? Thank you very much.

    Given the above dynamically generated text (meaning that I can't just use an image), I am trying to recreate the design using just html and css selectors. I would like to just use a single h4 with the containing text, but am open to other solutions. I would prefer to not use absolute positioning, but again, if that is the only way, then so be it. I have tried surrounding with span tags, but those are inline elements that don't have an inherent width. The h4 will be nested within a div, though not always of the same class or id. Any ideas or resources to get me started?

    I came to a situation where I need to edit the following in a way that, on some event (lets assume the 'click' event in this case) I need to remove (or unwrap?) the .container and the .header and have the .itemlist still visible/available on the page. And then, I need to restore .container and .header back again on some other event, while still maintain the event listeners on the a tags, and if possible, without removing the said items from the DOM.     I'm using Jumi to echo php code and then showing that in a Joomla Article, and everythings working fine. Now I want to do this: The output is basically a list from a database like this: Name Price Type A 1 T1 B 2 T2 In this list I want to include links to only show items of the same type, so "T1" would like to a page only showing things of type T1. So I thought I would do this by making a new page that takes a type and then get all the items of that type from the database. Without Joomla this wouldv'e been a piece of cake, with Joomla I'm not quite sure where to begin. How should the a href=... tags in the html code printed by my php script look? Is my basic structure still correct, and if so, how do I make Joomla open the new page in the normal frame and not replace the whole Joomla page. some kind of target-frame attribute?

  • Spring mvc: controller returns [][], usable in jsp with foreach, but how to bind?

    I'm building a spring mvc application. Now the problem I have is the following. I have a controller which adds a DayInfo[][] to my ModelMap. (DayInfo has an id, a title (String) and Text(also String). Now the problem I have is that I have no problem displaying this DayInfo[][] with foreach tags in my jsp. However I'm outputting the Title property as an input box(type text), and I'd like to be able to update this value (and thus saving it to be a database but that shouldn't be a problem). However I'm having trouble with binding this value to the input box so that it is actually returned to the controller. If anyone has some advice it would be welcome.

    Hi, as I need to get a specific Frame from a Website I want to display in an WebView, I decided to grab the .html from the net and save it under file:///data/data//files/file.html. Stroed there I can edit it using regex or String methods. Now two questions: Is there a way to bind this file to an resource. e.g. to /res/raw/file.html and get it updated dynamically as i edit it? Or can i write the File directly to the resources? Is this whole stuff I do there any good or performant at all? I mean maybe there is a better way to get the .html code between two tags from a Webpage and display it via WebView. Kind regards Markus

  • Drupal rendering incomplete views

    I got tapped to do some quick maintenance on a recently migrated Drupal site. I'm pretty new to Drupal, so hopefully the problem is something that more experienced guys will figure out quick. Behavior is as follows. The public content works fine as far as I can tell. When I go to login, the login form renders correctly, but when I post the form w/ my credentials, I get back a blank page (not a 404; looks like a 200 to the /user URL, but all the gets rendered is empty Head and body tags). If i refresh the page, I get the content of my profile view, but none of the site chrome or CSS. Note that this is not an issue on the site it was migrated from, so it seems like something wasn't copied over correctly. The site's not public, so I can't provide a URL, sorry!

    I am looking for a relatively simple HTML to text converter which displays links and works on strings. So far I have tried lynx but performance is too bad, html2text which gives weird and verbose markdown output and is under GPLv3 which is too restrictive for my (BSD-licensed) project, http://effbot.org/librarybook/formatter-example-3.py using htmllib.HTMLParser with formatter.AbstractFormatter and a custom writer, however htmllib.HTMLParser is drpeceated and has been removed from Python 3. So is there any simple, performant, Python 3-compatible HTML to text converter under a permissive license such as MIT/BSD/Apache and the like? Edit: I dont just need something to strip HTML-Tags but also to preserve the basic structure of the HTML, that is output that somewhat resembles that of Lynx.

    I've been always guiding myself with the following CSS structure: #nav { } #nav li { } #nac li a { } This structure tells me clearly who is the parent and the child. But in a recent article (I think it was CSS Trick) someone said that CSS is read from right to left. So the more tags I had the slower it will be (and sometimes I think its unnecessary to write every single tag involve in the selector). So it may be something like this: #nav { } #special-link { } where #special-link is #nav's child. I know this is not a big problem in a simple stylesheet but in a big one I always would get confused about who is who's parent and child. Another solution would be: #nav { } #special-link { } Indentation How do you solve with this CSS dilemma?

  • Good overview tool / board for visualizing Subversion branch acitivity?

    Our team is sometimes finding it a bit confusing and time-consuming to figure out which subversion operations have been perrformed on our different branches in Subversion. Example, when has the Development branch last been merged into the Trunk? When was this particular Tag created, based on what branch etc etc. All of this information can of course be extracted from the Subversion Log, but thats always a manual, time-consuming and error-prone process. Simplest solution seems to be a simple whiteboard with a visualization of all the different branches/tags/trunk in Subversion and people drawing on it, whenever something significant happens. But we're not averse to finding some kind of a digital solution as well, stored centrally. Obviously both systems depend on people actually maintaining the model, but you'll always more or less have that. What do you use as best practice for keeping a clear view on all Subversion operations in the current Sprint (or beyond)?

We know that these client can browse the internet without a problem so we decided to change our TCPClient application so that It uses HTTP messages to communicate. Will it be enough just to wrap our text massages with standard HTML tags and HTTP headers? We need a long lasting connection. Does keep-alive have a limit? Do firewalls or proxies have time limits for "alive" connections.
