  • how to create a backup of a file once the current one is changed using php

    I'm playing around with file info in php and i'm wondering if its possible to do the following: once a file is changed get the contents of the file, then put the contents of the file into another file. kinda like a "backup system" so once you make a change to the file a duplicate one is created, each change to the original file overwrites the duplicate one. i'm trying to do this with storing the time in the db, is this possible? i don't know what there is to test against? more clearly, i would like to do the following: execute a script once a specifeced file is changed on the server

  • Updating .class file in a jar throws exception

    I'm trying to port a wikimedia plugin to run on OpenVMS and needed to alter a class. I'm trying to update the .class file in the jar using jar uf jar-file .class-file, however when I do this I get the following: java.util.zip.ZipException: duplicate entry: META-INF/LICENSE.txt at java.util.zip.ZipOutputStream.putNextEntry(ZipOutputStream.java:175) at java.util.jar.JarOutputStream.putNextEntry(JarOutputStream.java:90) at sun.tools.jar.Main.update(Main.java:507) at sun.tools.jar.Main.run(Main.java:184) It turns out there are 2 LICENSE.txt files in the jar and I can't seem to get rid of them. Any ideas on how to just get the new .class file into the jar or how to get rid of the duplicate file?

    Hi All, I have an object Parent which has a list of Children: class Parent {Id, Name, IList children} class Child {Id, Name} I need to select all parents where there is a condition for their children but I do not want to get duplicate rows (don't want the children details to appear in select list) Here is the code: session.CreateCriteria(typeof(Parent)) .SetFetchMode("children", FetchMode.Select); .CreateCriteria("children").Add(Subqueries.PropertyIn("Id", {1,2,3,4})) .List(); The query adds all proprties of child class to select list which results in duplicate Parents. Is there any way I can select all parents without having the child details in the select list? Thanks

    I'm trying to have a model/table with duplicate information in it. The reason for this is so that the same data can be written to the table under different users and found for each user. However, I want a quick easy way to identify which information is a duplicate of other information. I think the best way to do this would be to have an item_id of sorts that increments with each "set" of entries to the table. Is there a way to do this without including another table that stores the information without attributing it to users?

    I have reduced my problem to finding the minimal spanning tree in the graph. But I want to have one more constraint which is that the total degree for each vertex shouldnt exceed a certain constant factor. How do I model my problem? Is MST the wrong path? Do you know any algorithms that will help me? One more problem: My graph has duplicate edge weights so is there a way to count the number of unique MSTs? Are there algorithms that do this? Thank You. Edit: By degree, I mean the total number of edges connecting the vertex. By duplicate edge weight I mean that two edges have the same weight.

  • Mac OS X 10.5 App "not supported on this architecture" cured by copying?

    I have an app that updates itself over the internet, and the updated copy won't run on PowerPC machines (G5) running Leopard (10.5.8). Double-clicking the app produces a message saying "You can't open the application "appname" because it is not supported on this architecture." But here's the weird part: if I duplicate the app using the Finder or using a cp -R command, then the duplicate runs fine! And yet, if I do ls -laeR on both apps, the results are identical. I restarted the machine, and the difference between the two copies was still there. Sometimes, renaming the app made it run. After a few tries, I managed to rename it back to the original name and still have it run. If this was just on one machine, I'd dismiss it as disk corruption, cosmic rays, or a voodoo hex, but it was reported by a customer and then I reproduced it on my own machine. Any ideas what could cause this behavior?

    Hi guys, I have an issue with a query I'm trying to run on some data, I guess the place to start is to describe the data. Ok so I have a list of email addresses, each email address has a unique ID and an account ID Also in my tables I have a set number which auto incrememnts, this will allow me to target duplicate email addresses What I need to do is something like this. Insert into duplicates (EMAIL,ACCOUNTID,ID) SELECT Email,AccountID,ID FROM EmailAddresses Group by Email,AccountID Having Count(email)>1 Order by AccountID, Email So essentially I want to select all duplicate email addresses and insert them (and their relative fields) into a new table broken down by accountID so I can run some further querys on it. I have been battling with this for way too long and could just use a fresh perspective. Cheers in advance

    In SQL server, I'm using a table variable and when done manipulating it I want to insert its values into a real table that has an identity column which is also the PK. The table variable I'm making has two columns; the physical table has four, the first of which is the identity column, an integer IK. The data types for the columns I want to insert are the same as the target columns' data types. INSERT INTO [dbo].[Message] ([Name], [Type]) SELECT DISTINCT [Code],[MessageType] FROM @TempTableVariable END This fails with Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.Message' with unique index 'IX_Message_Id'. The duplicate key value is (ApplicationSelection). But when trying to insert just Values (...) it works ok. How do I get it right?

    I have an SSL cert with its own unique IP address on a 2008 R2 server. I have created a basic website using IIS Manager, with a file called “Hello.html” in the root. When trying to add an https binding I receive the following error after choosing my certificate: This binding is already being used by a product other than IIS. If you continue you might overwrite the existing certificate for this IP Address:Port combnation. Do you want to use this binding anyway?" I click Yes to this prompt and the binding is created. When I try to retrieve my file using the server’s own browser, the request times out. I have another server which has a shared configuration with this one, and it works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions how to find out which application may be using this binding other than IIS, and how to resolve?

  • How to resolve "svn: Can't find a temporary directory: Internal error"?

    I have already googled the message, and I have plenty of disk space available on the SVN server (it's about 4% usage of 150 GB). I have noticed that when I try echo $TMPDIR at the command prompt on the SVN server I get nothing. What is making this a little confusing is that I only get this message from one location when I do an svn diff (that I've tested so far) - this error is not coming up when I try from three other computers (one of which is testing against the exact same repository, the other two are different repositories on the same svn server). About the only difference I can see is that the broken working copy is connecting to the server by an IP address where all the others are using a server name (although this resolves over DNS to the same IP Address). I'm hoping that I don't have to scratch the broken working copy and checkout a new one - unfortunately, this is a legacy project and not all changes have been properly revisioned.

This is /etc/ha.d/ha.cnf on both servers: debugfile /var/log/ha-debug logfile /var/log/ha-log logfacility local0 keepalive 2 deadtime 10 udpport 694 bcast eth1 ucast eth0 my.external.ip ucast eth0 my.external.ip ucast eth1 10.0.0.5 ucast eth1 10.0.0.6 #udp eth0 node loadb1 node loadb2 auto_failback off And this is /etc/ha.d/haresources on both servers: node1 IPaddr::46.20.121.113 httpd smb dhcpd Authkeys is also set up. What am I doing wrong? The part where I'm least clear is the ucast/bcast lines.

    I have a radius server set up on a server running Ubuntu 11.04. I have configured my switch to use the authentication server's IP (192.168.1.2) for RADIUS / 802.1x authentication, and I created a connection to test connecting from my Mac OSX client. Here is my radius configuration for the client: client 192.168.1.0/16 { secret = testing123 } I can successfully authenticate using both 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and 192.168.1.2 (ip of eth1), so I know radius is getting those requests. I set up a connection to test from my macbook, and my requests are timing out. http://screencast.com/t/tMhRLS3H7 Is there a better way to test the radius connection from my macbook? Thanks! UPDATE: I was able to successfully test on Mac OSX client using RadPerf. This is available as a cross-platform command line tool.

  • Broadcom NIC Teaming w/ 802.3ad and Dell Powerconnect 2824

    We have a Poweredge R210 running WS2K8R2. The server has two Broadcom 5716C NICs running Broadcom BASP. I can team the NICs using the 802.3ad protocol on the server end no problem. I have no VLAN. Now I go to the 2824 switch (default settings all round) running in managed mode and create a LAG with ports g1 and g2. As soon as I add these ports, I lose the ability to send traffic to or from the server. I am much more of a server guy than a networking guy, what am I doing wrong here?   • Can't add client machine to windows server 2008 domain controller

    A bit of background before I dive into the gritty details: I have a single server running Windows 2003 Server where I host my ASP.net website and SQL Server + Reports. I've been creating ordinary windows user accounts to authenticate my users, and I enabled integrated windows authentication with impersonation. I've set up a bunch of user groups which correspond to certain roles (admin, power user, normal user, etc) and I test membership to enable or disable certain features. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the solution, it was quick to setup and I don't have to worry about messing around storing passwords and whatnot. Well, what I'm trying to do now is set up a new environment with 3 servers (Web, SQL, Reports) and I'd like these three servers to share common user accounts. I understand that I could add these three machines to a domain, which means installing Active Directory on one of the machines. I am barking up the wrong tree here? Would you suggest an alternative configuration? Assuming that I stick with AD, I have a couple of questions regarding DNS. To be honest, I'd rather not fiddle around with the DNS settings because my ISP already has their own DNS server which works just fine. It would appear however that DNS and AD are intertwined. Firstly, if I am to create a new domain in called mycompany.net, do I actually need to be the registered owner of that domain name and ensure the DNS entry points to the IP address of the machine hosting AD? Secondly, for the two other machines that I am trying to add to the domain, do I need to fiddle with their DNS settings? I've tried setting the preferred DNS Server IP address to that of my newly installed AD, but no luck. At this point, I can't add the two other machines to the domain. Here are some diagnostics that I have run based on a few suggestions I read on forums (sorry they're in French, although I could translate if needed). I ran nltest, which seems to indicate that the client can discover the domain controller. When I run dcdiag, the call to DsGetDcName fails with error 1722, not really sure what that means. Any suggestions? Thanks! I have read elsewhere that the client needs to be able to access the fileshare sysvol. I had to enable Client for Microsoft Windows and File and Printer Sharing which were previously disabled. When I now run dcdiag the Advertising test works, which I suppose is forward progress. It currently chokes on the Services step (unable to open remote IPC).   • Windows 2008 R2 DHCP server not responding to DHCP discover

    I've got two Windows 2008 Enterprise R2 servers both running DNS and DHCP called cod & lobster. DHCP is setup using the split scope option introduced with 2008 R2, whereby both servers should respond with the first response providing the lease. Setup is as follows: Cod - IP: 192.168.0.231 - Pool: 192.168.0.101 - 192.168.0.179, exclusion for 160-179. - Response Delay: 0ms - Authorised in Active Directory (Re-authorised to confirm) - Windows firewall disabled while testing Lobster - IP: 192.168.0.232 - Pool: 192.168.0.101 - 192.168.0.179, exclusion for 101-159. - Response Delay: 1000ms - Authorised in Active Directory All DHCP leases to clients are currently being issues by Lobster rather than Cod. Packet captures with Wireshark show the following (all to broadcast address): Client - DHCP Discover Lobster - DHCP Offer (after 1s delay) Client - DHCP Request Lobster - DHCP Ack Client - DHCP Inform From my setup with two servers I'd expect to see a DHCP Offer coming from Cod almost immediately after the DHCP Discover. Does anybody have any idea what would prevent the DHCP Server responding to the discover?
