    I want to remove all text from html page that I load with nokogiri. For example, if a page has the following: <body><script>var x = 10;</script><div>Hello</div><div><h1>Hi</h1></div></body> I want to process it with Nokogiri and return html like the following after stripping the text like so: <body><script>var x = 10;</script><div></div><div><h1></h1></div></body> (THat is, remove the actual h1 text, text between divs, text in p elements etc, but keep the tags. also, dont remove text in the script tags.) How can I do that?

I'm thinking it could be done with one loop but but I can't come up with a solution. Any way this could be done with only one loop?

  • Adobe popping out of the browser

    Hi, Im building a web application that displays a xfdf document. When we are testing in adobe 5 and we can't stop adobe opening outside the webpage. The user clicks the report and it should open in the browser but instead it opens in adobe it appears to work in everything but adobe 5. We have previously done this with out any problems. Any ideas?     Need some help assigning a mouseover event to display some icons that start out hidden. For every <li> in the ul, I have icons. When the user mouses over the <li> I want the span tag with a class called "icons" to be displayed. When the mouse out event occurs remove the class and/or just hide the span. The problem for me is how to assign event so just the span tag and its contents appear and disapear when the mouse hovers over the <li>.     I am working on a basic messaging system. This is to get all the messages and to make the row of the table that has an unread message Green. In the table, there is a column called 'msgread'. this is set to '0' by default. I want to merge the XML data with the InDesign page and have a few hundred pages automatically generated. I've been reading online and working with InDesign's "Import XML" features without any luck. The documentation has been pretty poor for me. And Google searches haven't returned much fruitful.     Until few month ago i've been using IIS 6 where i could add different Default Documents to each websites which are physically same directory. Since II7 which adds Default Document value to web config i couldn't use such technique as web.config was changed for all the directory. It doesn't work as well. Please help me with this issue because i've never thought i will get such problem with supposed to be better IIS7...

Basically he wants to set up Django app (made on Django 1.3, but will be moving to Django 1.4, so it should not really matter which one of these two will work, I hope) on WSGI on nginx, installed on Amazon EC2. The app runs correctly when Django's development server is used (with ./manage.py runserver 0.0.0.0:8080 for example), also Apache works correctly. The only problem is with nginx and it looks there is something else wrong with nginx / WSGI or Django configuration. His description is as follows: Server has been configured according to many tutorials, but unfortunately Nginx and uWSGI still do not work with application.
