  Does SuSEfirewall in OpenSuSE 11 provide an easy way to block all traffic from a list of IP addresses? Ideally just a textfile into which I can put all IP addresses I want blocked, otherwise some configuration option. I've looked through /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2, but haven't been able to find anything like that.

• How can I print in grayscale/low quality on my networked Cannon ip4300 via Ubuntu?

  I have a Cannon Pixma ip4300 printer connected to a Mac OS X system and shared using CUPS. I can print to this printer from my Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid workstation just fine, however when printing (specifically from Thunderbird) I don't have the option to print in grayscale or in "low quality"/draft" mode. How can I enable these options to help save on printing costs?

  Hi I have a single monitor, but with a wide resolution. Some times it would be helpful to have two applications running next to each other. Is there a tool to quickly tell windows to resize the two applications to fit the desktop? Perhaps even with an option to make the one application use 75% and the other 25% I know the Windows 7 Alt+left/right arrow feature, which is nice, but still needs too many clicks.

  Can anybody please guide me how to download the sun studio from CLI. I was using wget and lynx programs but not worked. As I have only SSH access to my server and I cant not download it on local machine and upload it on server, will be bad option for me as it will take hours to upload. • IBM x345 raid-1 with 2 defunct drive, how do I get it back?

  I have an IBM x345 server running raid-1 with 2 drives that went defunct after a reboot. ServeRaid has an x by both drives (36g scsi) marked defunct.   I have a standard CMS-like RewriteRule set up in my .htaccess: RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index.php?slug=$1 Let's say I have a directory called "foo" in the root directory. For some reason, if you hit the page it causes a redirect: http://www.mysite.com/foo -- http://www.mysite.com/foo?slug=foo Removing the directory fixes the problem, but unfortunately, it's not an option. Does anyone know of a workaround?

• Convert TIFF with Alpha Channel to PNG?

  I have a TIFF File that has a blue background and an Alpha Channel. I would like to save a PNG File which has the blue background transparent, using the Alpha Channel (because some pixels are not fully transparent) I use Photoshop CS5 Standard, but I haven't found an option there. I don't want to use the Magic Wand because it struggles with half-transparent pixels and because I do have a perfect Alpha Channel. Any ideas how this can be done?

  I've an Acer laptop with Windows 7 64 bit and an ATI Radeon HD 6550M Graphics card. Whenever I connect the power to charge the battery it automatically switches to the high-power GPU (ATI) instead of the low-power (Intel) GPU. There's an option in the bios to stop such thing but it makes the GPU runs always on high-power and I can't switch to the low-power GPU. How can I prevent the switchable graphics from automatically using the high-power GPU when charging?
