  • Starting inets/httpd with custom application

    I've got a module that I'm attempting to turn into a proper OTP application. Currently, the module has start/0 which starts a genserver which supplies configuration data read from a config file. It then calls inets:start(httpd,config:lookup(httpd_conf)). I gather that I need to move the starting of these out into the .app file's (application list) but I'm not sure how to get my config data into the inets:start function (or pass in httpd)?   • Do .NET Timers Run Asynchronously?

    I have a messaging aspect of my application using Jabber-net (an XMPP library.) What I would like to do, if for some reason the connection to the Server is ended, is keep trying to connect every minute or so. If I start a Timer to wait for a period of time before the next attempt, does that timer run asynchronously and the resulting Tick event join the main thread, or would I need to start my own thread and start the timer from within there?

    Are dynamic resources truly dynamic? If I define a DynamicResource, I realise that an expression is created (where?) that is not translated into a resource until runtime, however, What I do not understans is whether this dynamicresouce, once built, is now "Static" For instance, if I create a context menu via a dynamicresource, are the menuitems which are created at runtime on access then static, even if they are bound? If so, how can i create a dynamic context menu in XAML?

In fact I only want all 'first-level' catchme's regardless how deep they are in the DOM tree. This is something near, but not really fine: var start = $('.start'); // do smething $('.catchme:first, .catchme:first:parent + .catchme', start) I sort of want to break further traversing down the tree behind all found elements. Any ideas?

    Hello, I have migrated a database project from VS2008 to VS2010. While in VS08, I used to be able to right-click on a .sql or .cmd file and select a "Run" or "Run On" command from the context menu. In VS2010, though, these menu items seem to have gone away. I have a number of .sql and .cmd scripts that I am used to being able to run directly from the Visual Studio IDE. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks, Steve

  • Flex - prevent dragging for certain items

    Hi troops, how would you prevent dragging for some items of your List or DataGrid? Let's say I had a list with two items: 'Tom' and 'Jerry'. Only 'Tom' should be dragable, not 'Jerry'. Ideally I had a 'isDragEnabled(item:Object):Boolean' function, which is being queried by the drag source. My difficulties start with the fact that the 'dragStart' event handler has a null value for the dragSource, so right from the start I find it hard to find out what the drag-start is about.. Thanks in advance! PS There have been a few discussions on preventing or canceling a drop, but I haven't seen much about preventing the drag start, hence this question.

I have thrown together the included XAML sample to illustrate the problem of keyboard navigation. Using the tab key I can only get to the menu, and then to the toolbar.     I have written a WinForms application that presents a color picker, limited to the known colors. My environment is Visual Studio C# Express 2008, C#, and Framework 2.0. Currently the MS Paint Colors menu item only presents an Edit Colors dialog. I would like to supplement that by causing the Colors menu item to display both "Edit Colors" and "Edit Known Colors". Can I accomplish this? If so, please provide a citation (or code if preferrred).

  • python,running command line servers - they're not listening properly

    hello all Im attempting to start a server app (in erlang, opens ports and listens for http requests) via the command line using pexpect (or even directly using subprocess.Popen()). the app starts fine, logs (via pexpect) to the screen fine, I can interact with it as well via command line... the issue is that the servers wont listen for incoming requests. The app listens when I start it up manually, by typing commands in the command line. using subprocess/pexpect stops the app from listening somehow... when I start it manually "netstat -tlp" displays the app as listening, when I start it via python (subprocess/pexpect) netstat does not register the app... I have a feeling it has something to do with the environemnt, the way python forks things, etc. Any ideas? thank you

  • Eclipse Maven web application - can not run on server anymore

    I have an maven eclipse webapp project that I was able to right click and 'Run on server' and it would deploy on tomcat. I recently did a 'maven - Update project conifgurations' and I now can NOT deploy and run the project as a webapp. Has anyone seen this before? The only output from tomcat is as follows - it doesnt even look like its trying to deploy the application.   • How do I stop jetty server in clojure?

    I am writing a web application using ring and clojure. I am using the jetty adapter for the development server and emacs/SLIME for IDE. While wrap-reload does help, run-jetty blocks my slime session and I would like to be able to start/stop it at will without having to run it in a separate terminal session. Ideally, I would like to define a server agent and functions start-server and stop-server that would start/stop the server inside the agent. Is this possible?

    Hi, I am having problem with this code.Basically I want to execute the fwrite from a timer function asyncronusly. Here is the code block in my Timer function. (This will call by the timer every 0.2 seconds. -(void)timerFunction { WriteFileOperation * operation = [WriteFileOperation writeFileWithBuffer:pFile buffer:readblePixels length:nBytes*15]; [_queue addOperation:operation]; // Here it is waiting to complete the fwrite } The WrtiteFilerOperation is an NSoperation class which it has to write the passing buffer to a file. I added this code in WriteFileOperation's "start" method.
