  Is there high-level language out there for describing algorithms, that's geared towards specification, rather than implementation? The idea would be to have a machine-readable archive of standard algorithms, with machine-readable annotations on trade-offs, and variants. I'm thinking of something like CycL / OpenCyC, but for algorithms and programming patterns.

  Hello, We have a CMS plugin that writes statistics to 1 table, this creates performance issues on the entire platform. We decided to use another statistics plugin which can connect to a different database server (the first plugin couldn't!) however we need parts of the first plugin. I want to lock the statistics table to prevent misusage (not allowed to drop it by the developer) So I was wondering if a lock table could do this or if I can implement some sort of read only table

  I am using jQuery selector to get the values of all CMS components on the page using $('div.cmscomponent') but how can I test this to see if am actually getting the list of compoents on the page. I use: var temp = $('div.cmscomponent'); alert(temp); and result that I get is [object OBJECT] and so how can I test this ? and how can I get values of the object and its properties.

  Hi, I have a database for my personal site and at the moment it is storing different domains of information (Eg cv, CMS schema, and more, all in one DB). I have noticed that sets of tables (eg all for one domain) have no relationship to other groups of tables as they are completely unrelated. What implication does this have on database design? I can assume this is a time I need to think about having 1 DB.

Recently I typed in ezplot('x^y - y^x', [-100 100 -100 100]); and this is what I got; Can anyone please tell me whatever is happening ? for lower scaling of x and y ( [ -10 10 -10 10]) there are more patterns in the 2nd 3rd and 4th quadrants. I was not very sure of the shape of curve, but I did not expect this !

  I know JavaScript is client side and PHP is server-side. I also know this is an odd question. However, the CMS editor I'm using will not allow php to be stored to the database (it's the same editor used by Dupral). I can store JavaScript though. Can I import a php file with JavaScript. Or rather read the php file, store the content in a variable then out put the content to the screen?

  So I am from the UK and have hosting in the US. I contacted my host and said that my server time is set 6 hours behind GMT. They said I need to alter this in my CMS. How would i go about doing this? Whenever i put now() i am getting the wrong time. Never seen this before, could anyone offer any suggestions?

Here are some patterns I am struggling with creating: <<<< <|<|<|<|||| //////// \\\\ |||||||| I've been able to create the \\\, //////, and |||||| with a linear gradient, but the first two are causing me issues.   Hi My zend framework render function returns: Warning: include(C:\wamp\www\cms\application\modules\default\views\scripts) [function.include]: failed to open stream: Permission denied... Now I want to click a button which opens a dialog box, then I navigate to the right folder and select a file to "open" (from server side). The file path is returned.
