  • Help Required on track active directory changes

    I am going to write a small software to track active directory changes. I need an expert opinion from you. I want to display information about What ( with before and after values), When, Where and Who of any change in AD. I am going to implement this by one of the following way 1. Change Notification Control 2. DirSync Control Both of these method give us the attribute that are changed and we can compare new values with some dump in SQL Server to get old values. My problem is how can I find “Who” has made this change. I have tried but there is no attribute “LastModifiedBy” in active directory.     using the delcarative_authorization gem for rails, is there a shortcut to allow a role access to all controller actions? privileges do # default privilege hierarchies to facilitate RESTful Rails apps privilege :manage, :includes => [:create, :read, :update, :delete] end isn't sufficient, because I have more controlling methods than just CRUD in my controllers. Something like: role :foo do has_permission_on :bar, :to =>[:all] end would be perfect, but I'm not finding it in the docs.

  • Visual Studio 2008 - formatting/control characters/marks

    Hi, I don't know what I did but somehow the IDE has started displaying a green dot whenever I press spacebar and a green arrowhead whenever I press TAB. The source has become littered with these characters all over and I am finding it very difficult to code in the presence of so many formatting marks. I have tried to search a solution on Google but couldn't perhaps enter the right keywords so haven't been able to fix the behavior. Is there any way I can stop VS2008 IDE from littering my source code with these green dots and arrowheads whenever I press spacebar/tab? I would be really thankful for this help.   • Adding NavigationControl to a TabBar Application containing UITableViews

    Hi, I'm new to iPhone dev and wanted to get advice on the general design pattern / guide for putting a certain kind of app together. I'm trying to build a TabBar type application. One of the tabs needs to display a TableView and selecting a cell from within the table view will do something else - maybe show another table view or a web page. I need a Navigation Bar to be able to take me back from the table view/web page. The approach I've taken so far is to: Create an app based around UITabBarController as the rootcontroller i.e. @interface MyAppDelegate : NSObject <UIApplicationDelegate> { IBOutlet UIWindow *window; IBOutlet UITabBarController *rootController; } Create a load of UIViewController derived classes and associated NIBs and wire everything up in IB so when I run the app I get the basic tabs working. I then take the UIViewController derived class and modify it to the following: @interface MyViewController : UIViewController<UITableViewDataSource, UITableViewDelegate> { } and I add the delegate methods to the implementation of MyViewController - (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { return 2; } - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell"; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; } if (indexPath.row == 0) { cell.textLabel.text = @"Mummy"; } else { cell.textLabel.text = @"Daddy"; } return cell; } Go back to IB , open MyViewController.xib and drop a UITableView onto it. If I run the app now, I get the table view appearing with mummy and daddy working nicely. So far so good. The question is how do I go about incorporating a Navigation Bar into my current code for when I implement: - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath() { // get row selected NSUInteger row = [indexPath row]; if (row == 0) { // Show another table } else if (row == 1) { // Show a web view } } Do I drop a NavigationBar UI control onto MyControllerView.xib ? Should I create it programmatically? Should I be using a UINavigationController somewhere ? I've tried dropping a NavigationBar onto my MyControllerView.xib in IB but its not shown when I run the app, only the TableView is displayed.

    Hi, I need to develop a PHP class to communicate with Apple servers in order to do Push notification (APNS). I have the certificate (.pem) and I tried to follow various tutorials found on Internet but I'm still getting error trying to connect to ssl://gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com:2195 with stream socket : $apnsHost = 'gateway.sandbox.push.apple.com'; $apnsPort = 2195; $apnsCert = 'apns-dev.pem'; $streamContext = stream_context_create(); stream_context_set_option($streamContext, 'ssl', 'local_cert', $apnsCert); $apns = stream_socket_client('ssl://'.$apnsHost.':'.$apnsPort, $error, $errorString, 2, STREAM_CLIENT_CONNECT, $streamContext); A telnet on this URL works so port 2195 is opened. Openssl is activated on PHP since I get "Registered Stream Socket Transports : tcp, udp, ssl, sslv3, sslv2, tls" with a phpinfo(). My certificate is well read (PHP is_readable(certif.pem) returns true on the file) Is there anything else to activate in Apache or PHP to get it work ?

    Hi, I'm looking for a framework which allows me to manage my application through a webbased GUI (using an embedded webserver) instead of winforms. Something like this: http://www.webtoolkit.eu/wt but then for .NET In my code I should be able to instantiate classes (like buttons, forms etc), and when a user browses to a given port, the app should render it as javascript/ajax etc etc. preferably, when buttons are pushed, a notification in my code should be called. this is a less specific question than another one I posted about extjs. I hope this will attract more viewers since it is more generic Thanks. Update: cassini like solutions don't fit the bill. Since the webbrowser is embedded in my application, there is no need for ASP.NET server side scripts. I would rather have the framework, call functions inside my application when things happen on the page. onButtonClicked() for instance.

  • find window text and save txt to file named that wont work.

The solution below works fine but I am specifically looking for a way to lookup manager of the user who created the holiday request list item in the workflow.   • Add/remove UILocalNotification based on changes in my settings bundle

    I have an app that sends a notification at the same time everyday, reminding the user to enter data into it. However, I want to give the user teh option to disable this as this could get very annoying, so I have an "Enable alerts" in a custom settings bundle. My question is, when the user toggles the switch in the settings bundle, can I add/remove the notifications that are already scheduled without having to enter the app again? note: I'm building and supporting for iOS 4.2.1, and I don't konw why but under "notifications" in the settings app, my app does not appear. I see it on ios 5.x devices though

    Consider this code (type names genericised for the purposes of example): // Bound to ListBox.ItemsSource _items = new ObservableCollection<Item>(); // ...Items are added here ... // Specify custom IComparer for this collection view _itemsView = CollectionViewSource.GetDefaultView(_items) ((ListCollectionView)_itemsView).CustomSort = new ItemComparer(); When I set CustomSort, the collection is sorted as I expect. However I require the data to re-sort itself at runtime in response to the changing of the properties on Item. The Item class derives from INotifyPropertyChanged and I know that the property fires correctly as my data template updates the values on screen, only the sorting logic is not being called. I have also tried raising INotifyPropertyChanged.PropertyChanged passing an empty string, to see if a generic notification would cause the sorting to be initiated. No bananas. EDIT In response to Kent's suggestion I thought I'd point out that sorting the items using this has the same result, namely that the collection sorts once but does not re-sort as the data changes: _itemsView.SortDescriptions.Add( new SortDescription("PropertyName", ListSortDirection.Ascending));

    In my app I've implemented a shake event and it shows a UIImageView. When the UIImageView is shown, I hide the Nav Bar with: [self.navigationController setNavigationBarHidden:YES animated:NO]; And after that I want to bring it back when user touches the screen: - (void)touchesEnded:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { [[self navigationController] setNavigationBarHidden:NO animated:YES]; } But it doesn't work!
