  • Access static Method in GDB

    - by Besi
I recently discovered the GDB in Xcode which makes up for some functionality which IMHO seems to be lacking in Xcode. So I can do the following in GDB: (gdb) po [LoginManager sharedSession].loginToken 20D52FE9-3573-437E-9A65-846572B63726 However, I have another Service class, which is currently not loaded so I get the following error: (gdb) po [SessionService displaySessionInfoForToken:@"XXX"] No symbol "SessionService" in current context. I don't understand why the LoginManager can be loaded but not the SessionService.

  • iPhone and Mac Twitter App Not Parsing HTML in Feeds

    - by otakrosak
I've come across this problem where my tweets on the iPhone and Mac Twitter app are not parsing the HTML properly. In any browser, the HTML is parsed fine. It only happens to the apostrophe character (') and on the iPhone and Mac Twitter app. Also, I'm using the dlvr.it service to push my Drupal blog posts to my Twitter feed. My initial guess was that it was the RSS generated by Drupal, but if that were the case, then the feed displayed on the browser would be affected too. Any ideas anyone? Any help would be very much appreciated. P.S: I apologize beforehand if this question already exists. I did search for it but based on what I queried, nothing came up.

  • Nullpointerexception getSystemService

    - by moppel
Following line will only not result in a nullpointer exception if I'm connected to a WLAN: ConnectivityManager cm = (ConnectivityManager) getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); Otherwise I get a nullpointer-exception straight ahead? How can I fix this? I want my background service to only work, when it is connected to wlan. But that Nullpointerexception just kills the whole app...

  • JFileChooser select directory but show files

    - by Jeff Storey
I feel like there should be a simple way to do this but I can't figure it out. I have a JFileChooser that allows the user to select directories. I want to show all the files in the directories to give the user some context, but only directories should be accepted as selections (maybe the Open button would be disabled when a file is selected). Is there an easy way of doing this?

  • Hosing website on own server. What is Hardware requirement and Cost [closed]

    - by KuKu
As i am about to finish my dream website, i need to host it on some server. I checked Amazon AWS Free Tier, i found it pretty complex. As i made full website in java(JSP + Servlet + mysql + Node.js), its been expensive to host. So i thought that why not to host on own server so that i will be fully dependent on my resources, not on any one else. And i know, in future i need to pay more and more to the other hosting company(because of uploading images and number of incoming users). So my question is, On initial stage what kind of hardware i will required. What can be the cost of that hardware? I already have 12MBPS broadband connection, will it be sufficient? It has static IP Address as well.

  • What does explorer use to open a file?

    - by dauphic
I'm attempting to hook into whatever explorer calls when a file is opened (double-click, context menu open, etc.), however I can't figure out which function that is. Originally, I thought it was ShellExecute, as that does the same thing as far as I can tell, but after hooking into it I learned that it's only used when a new explorer window is opened. Any ideas which function I should be hooking?

  • Possible to use Bindings only for the SourceChanged event?

    - by Schneider
Basically I want to use the WPF Binding framework to "observe" a property in the data context, and when that value changes to call an event handler. I do not actually want to bind it to any target. Sounds simple but from what I can see Binding is too coupled (to the visual tree and various other bits) to be able to use it flexibly. Any thoughts?

  • Why not use GDI+ from ASP.NET

    - by roygbiv
I've been told that using GDI+ from ASP.NET is dangerous and undefined. Is that because there is no guarantee of a Device Context? Can someone explain? What are some of the alternatives? Here is the source: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.drawing.aspx

  • Windows 7 persistent remote desktop

    - by jjedwardsja
I have a Windows 7 x64 machine that I remote desktop into. The problem I have is when I log into the machine it loads the desktop fine. Once I close the remote desktop (no official log out.) and then log back in it reloads the desktop. I want it to preserve the session I was working in last time rather than resetting the session. This is a headless machine so I log in initial and always from a remote machine.

  • Sockets: I/O Error 32

    - by Genesis
Could someone please explain what an I/O Error 32 refers to in the context of a network socket? I have a multithreaded Socks5 server written using Poco SocketReactors and am getting this error when the server load reaches a certain point. The exception is thrown within my onReadable handlers at the same time across all threads which have connections associated with them. The only other thing I am doing within those threads is std::cout but I am not sure if this is a potential cause.

  • Invoke target throwing invalid cross-thread operate exception

    - by sqwerty
MethodInfo mi = typeof(NotifyIcon).GetMethod("ShowContextMenu", BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.NonPublic); mi.Invoke(notify, null); This throws the following exception: {"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."} With the following inner exception: "Cross-thread operation not valid: Control '' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on." If I comment out a line of code that sets the images for the context menu entries then it stops throwing the exception. Any ideas?

  • Encoding GBK2312 Condundrum

    - by user792271
    I am an amateur coder and I have a small problem. My goal is to have one text input with two buttons. The first button uses a bit of Javascript called SundayMorning to translate the text (to Chinese) The second button submits the text to a URL. The URl requires that Chinese text be encoded it in GBK2312 character set. I have duct taped together various found code to the result I have now. Due to the finicky behavior of the SundayMorning Javascript, my solution is to have two input boxes, the second of which I will hide. Right now, this doesn't work: I am unable to encode the Chinese in GBK2312, no matter what I try. BONUS CONUNDRUM: The second box copies my input letter by letter as I type, but does not copy the Chinese translation that the Javascript returns. Sorry for my janky amateur code. I defer to those more clever, if you have any kind suggestions. <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=GB2312" /> <script type='text/javascript' Src='https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.1/jquery.min.js'> </script> ///THIS JS TRANSLATES THE TEXT INLINE <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.sundaymorning.js"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { $('#example3').sundayMorningReset(); $('#example3 input[type=image]').click(function(evt) { $.sundayMorning( $('#example3 input[type=text]').val(),{source:'en', destination:'ZH', menuLeft:evt.pageX, menuTop:evt.pageY},function(response) {$('#example3 input[type=text]').val(response.translation);});});}); </script> /// ///THIS PUTS THE CONTENT OF THE TRANSLATION BOX INTO THE SUBMISSION BOX <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ var $url = $("#url"); $("#track").keyup(function() { $url.val(this.value);}); $("#track").blur(function() { $url.val(this.value);});}); </script> ///THIS PUTS THE CONTENT OF THE SUBMISSION INSIDE A URL <SCRIPT type="text/javascript"> function goToPage(url) { var initial = "http://example.com/"; var extension = ".html"; document.something.action=initial+url+extension; } </SCRIPT> </head> <body> <div id="featured"> <div id="example3"> <input type="text" name="track" id="track" value="" class="box"onkeydown="javascript:if (event.which || event.keyCode){if ((event.which == 13) || (event.keyCode == 13)) {document.getElementById('mama').click();}};"/> <input type="image" src="http://taobaofieldguide.com/images/orange-translate-button.png" id="searchsubmit" value="Translate" class="btn" /> </div> <FORM name="something" method="post" onsubmit="goToPage(this.url.value);"> <input type="text" id="url";> <INPUT type="submit" id="mama" value="GO" > </FORM> </div> </body>

  • Remote Destkop into Server 2008R2 with Firewall On

    - by Eternal21
I've got a fresh install of Remove Server 2008 R2, 64 bit. The problem is I can't Remote Destkop into it. I clicked 'Enable Remote Desktop' inside 'Initial Configuration Tasks', and set it to: Allow connections only from computers running Remote Destkop with Network Level Authentication (more secure). The thing is, this used to work just fine, and then it stopped. The only way I can get it to work now is if I turn of Windows Firewall completely off (Public network location settings). Obviously I don't want to run the server with firewall off, so what specific settings in Firewall do I need to disable, or am I doing something wrong?

  • Trying to get around this Webservice call from Android using AsycTask

    - by Kevin Rave
I am a fairly beginner in Android Development. I am developing an application that extensively relays on Webservice calls. First screen takes username and password and validates the user by calling the Webservice. If U/P is valid, then I need to fire up the 2nd activity. In that 2nd activity, I need to do 3 calls. But I haven't gotten to the 2nd part yet. In fact, I haven't completed the full coding yet. But I wanted to test if the app is working as far as I've come through. When calling webserivce, I am showing alert dialog. But the app is crashing somewhere. The LoginActivity shows up. When I enter U/P and press Login Button, it crashes. My classes: TaskHandler.java public class TaskHandler { private String URL; private User userObj; private String results; private JSONDownloaderTask task; ; public TaskHandler( String url, User user) { this.URL = url; • Linux command line based spam checker?

    - by anonymous-one
Does a command line based spam checker exist? We have created a mailbox at a 3rd party, and unfortunately decided on spam checking 'disabled' in the initial setup. There is no way to re-enable spam checking, the mailbox must be delete (and thus all contents lost) and re-created. Does anything exist where we can pump in either: A) Subject + from + to + body + all other fields. OR B) Raw message dump (headers + body). And the command line will let us know weather the email is possibly spam? Thanks.

  • Route Values for Area (MVC3)

    Hi, I am using areas in MVC version 3. My logoff and logon action methods are routing to the area, and I need them to route to the normal controller that is not in an area. I have tried the following host://AREA/CONTROLLER/METHOD instead of host://CONTROLLER/METHOD. @if(Request.IsAuthenticated) { <text>Welcome <b>@Context.User.Identity.Name</b> [ @Html.ActionLink("Log Off", "LogOff", "Account", new { area = "" }) ]</text> } else { @:[ @Html.ActionLink("Log On", "LogOn", "Account", new { area = "" }) ] }

i need help on the following issue. We have Dell T1650 PCs with 2 nvidia graphic adapters / Windows 7 and 4 attached monitors. At initial start all screens are blank, the computer does not show anything. If powered off by pressing the hardware power button and then restarting all monitors show a picture. The Windows event log shows only the errors, that the machine was shut down unexpectly. The last entry with blank screen seems to be that user specific dlls for every application are loaded. How can I find out the real problem?

  • How do I search the MediaStore for a specific directory instead of entire external storage?

    - by Nick Lopez
In my app I have an option that allows users to browse for audio files on their phone to add to the app. I am having trouble however with creating a faster way of processing the query code. Currently it searches the entire external storage and causes the phone to prompt a force close/wait warning. I would like to take the code I have posted below and make it more efficient by either searching in a specific folder on the phone or by streamlining the process to make the file search quicker. I am not sure how to do this however. • Why would one server be sending DUP ACK packets to one PC, which is responding with HTTP RST packets?

    - by IronicMuffin
I'm not a network profressional, so please excuse any wrong language. I was debugging why my DNS traffic was a constant 160Kbps on our corporate network. I opened up a wireshark trace, and I see one PC of a coworker broadcasting HTTP [RST] packets to one of our DMZ servers at the rate of 1000 a second. He restarted his machine, and as soon as it went offline, the server started broadcasting [DUP] [ACK] packets, until he came back online. It then resumed the HTTP [RST] packets. Apparently this server has been doing this kind of behavior since it went live. I believe it did this with a printer and an access point as well. Can anyone explain why this behavior is occurring? Any solutions? The initial research was done because there have been "bandwidth issues" and I wonder if this is contributing.

  • Memory leaks in libxml2.2

    - by KSH
I am using libxml2 to parse xml content in my iPhone app. The xml content is downloaded from a server similar to the Apple's own TopSongs sample app. When I check for leaks using the Instruments tool, I see memory leaks being reported on xmlNewParserCtxt, xmlNewInputStream and xmlAllocParserInputBuffer. I have called xmlFreeParserCtxt(context) at applicable places (dealloc). Am I missing something else ? Is this a known issue to contend with when using libxml2 parsers ?
