    hey, I'm trying to programming a crossword creator. using a given dictionary txt file and a given pattern txt file. The basic idea is using DFS algorithm. the problem begin when the dictionary file is v-e-r-y big (about 50000 words). then i recive the : Exception in thread "main" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded i know that there is a part in my program that waists memory, but i don't know where it is, how to find it and how to fix it

    Hi, is there any possibility to send from formtastic form value of :string field like - semantic_form_for :project do |form| - form.inputs do = form.input :task_ids, :as => :string as Array? Currently value of this field is sending as String and i'd like to no parse this string in controller. Also, could you give me idea - if task with submitted id is not found - what is best way to catch this situation - validation in controller or what?

    I'm adding a ToolTip to a ListViewItem. However, the ToolTip only shows up when the user hovers over the first cell in the row to which the ToolTip has been applied. MyListViewItem.ToolTipText = "Important Message" The only other code I have related to ToolTips is this: MyListView.ShowItemToolTips = True Any idea how I can make the ToolTip show up on a specific cell in a row, or even the entire row?     Hi, I think i'm getting senile because I was convinced that to give a name to your application, you had to fill this part of the manifest : <application android:icon="@drawable/icon" android:label="MyApplicationName"> However for a reason I don't understand, my application gets the name of my first activity, in which I load data, henceforce, It is called "Loading"...(defined as follows in the manifest) <activity android:name="AccueilSplash" android:label="Loading"> Any idea why that is?

These RTTs can go from ~0 to infinity, but are typically oscillating around some average value (i.e. an extremely large or small value is very improbable but possible).     I know it's a really simple question, but I have no idea how to google it. how can I do print '<a href="%s">%s</a>' % (my_url) So that my_url is used twice? I assume I have to "name" the %s and then use a dict in the params, but I'm not sure of the proper syntax? just FYI, I'm aware I can just use my_url twice in the params, but that's not the point :)

  • Android pluginable application

    I've been trying to create an android-application the last couple of weeks, and mostly everything has worked out great, but there is one thing that I was wondering about, and that is pluginability trough the use of intents. What I'm trying to create is basically a comic-reader. As of the version I use now, I open the application and get a list of commics that are my favourites, then I enter one to get a detailed view, and finally I enter a page. This is managed trough 3 activities. List, Details and Page. However, as of now the application can only read comics of one source (a specialiced xml-feed comming from my server), and I was hoping to be able to expand this a litle (also, the page-activity and some other stuff needs to be cleaned up in, so I'm thinking about remaking from scratch, and just take the first go as a learning-round). And I came up with an idea which I think sounds great, but I don't know if it's possible, but this is what I'm thinking about: The user enters the application and get an (first time empty) list of comics. The user hits a button to find comics, this launces an intent that says something like "find comic" or something like that. This should cause the system to display all matching activities. This would make it possible to provide different comic-providers trough different applications. Another activity kicks in and might displays some options to the user (for instance a file-browser), or might not (in the example of an xml-feed, which should just load). The list is returned to the first activity and displayed to the user. The second (find) activity is closed. The user picks a comic from the list. This should open some details-activity. The details-activity should receive a key which corresponds to the comic selected. This should be unique amongst the comic-providers. The details-view should get it's data trough some cind of content-provider, or an activity (whichever is most suited, if one of them is). The user can select a page. This should be the same routine as step 5. My question is, is this possible in the android system, and if it is, is it a bad idea? And also, is there any better way to achieve more or less the same thing?
