    In my search for a good, freely available resource that will teach me C++ I stumbled on http://www.learncpp.com/. My question is for intermediate to experienced C++ programmers... Does this site seem to be a good resource for a beginner to learn C++ from? I've gone through the first few section of the site, and I feel like I am starting to grasp the language, but being a beginner in C++ I really could be learning things all wrong and have no idea.

    hi friends I am making a game in cocos2d , In that while updating score the old score values get on the label and the new value get overwritten. I m using following code to display the score, LblScore = [CCLabel labelWithString:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d",score] dimensions:CGSizeMake(100, 300) alignment:UITextAlignmentCenter fontName:@"Arial" fontSize:32.0]; Because of this the score value are not shown and all things get massed up, If any one having idea how to update new score?

    I'd like to get some help in the following exam problem, i have no idea how to do this: Input: a list of numbers, eg.: [1,2,3,4] Output: every possible correct bracketing. Eg.: (in case of input [1,2,3,4]): ((1 2) (3 4)) ((1 (2 3)) 4) (1 ((2 3) 4)) (1 (2 (3 4))) (((1 2) 3) 4) Bracketing here is like a method with two arguments, for example multiplication - then the output is the possible multiplication orders. I am looking at ways to make my website as dynamic as possible without uploading changed content all over again. Something like config files. Rule engines exist, but learning them seems like a pain.     I have a SQL Server database with an Apartment table (which has columns FloorNum and BuildingID) and an ApartmentBuilding table (with column NumFloors). Is there any way to set up a constraint (using the SQL Server UI) to check that Apartment.FloorNum is greater than ApartmentBuilding.NumFloors? I tried this: FloorNum > ApartmentBuilding.NumFloors but now I realize that I somehow have to join the columns on the BuildingID, but I have no idea how to do that within a constraint.     Hi, I am currently running JDK 6 on Windows 7 and have installed the Unlimited Strength Policy Files. I wrote a Java app some time ago which used to work but now fails, giving an error message indicating that the SHA1PRNG SecureRandom is not available. I have tried printing a list of cryptographic providers available on the platform and it would appear that there are no secure random number generators available - does anyone have any idea why this might be?     I have the following CPython code which I now try to run in IronPython: import ctypes class BarHeader(ctypes.Structure): _fields_ = [ ("id", ctypes.c_char * 4), ("version", ctypes.c_uint32)] bar_file = open("data.bar", "rb") header_raw = bar_file.read(ctypes.sizeof(BarHeader)) header = BarHeader.from_buffer_copy(header_raw) The last line raises this exception: TypeError: expected array, got str I tried BarHeader.from_buffer_copy(bytes(header_raw)) instead of the above, but then the exception message changes to TypeError: expected array, got bytes. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    I'm learning JavaScript, and I can't understand why you'd make methods that aren't 'privileged,' that is, that aren't defined in the constructor but rather the class' prototype. I understand the idea of encapsulation and all, but you never encapsulate parts of a class from the rest of it in most of the OO world.

    Hi all i have a file like this: term1 term2 term3 term4 term2 term1 term5 term3 ..... ..... what i need to do is to remove duplicates in any order they appear, such as: term1 term2 and term2 term1 is a duplicate to me. It is a really long file, so I'm not sure what can be faster. Does anyone has an idea on how to do this? awk perhaps?
