• 13.10 upgrade dropping wifi [on hold]

  Almost a complete newb here. After my last upgrade from 12.04 to 13.10 my wifi now randomly drops. The only way I can get a signal back is a shutdown and restart otherwise it shows no network is even available to connect to. Had no problems until the upgrade. Any help would be appreciated.   JDK 8u20 has been released and is available from the Java Downloads page. See the JDK 8u20 Update Release Notes for details. Highlights for this release: The Medium security level has been removed. Now only High and Very High levels are available. Applets that do not conform with the latest security practices can still be authorized to run by adding the sites that host them to the Exception Site List. See Security for more information. The javafxpackager tool has been renamed to javapackager, and supports both Java and JavaFX applications. The -B option has been added to the javapackager deploy command to enable arguments to be passed to the bundlers that are used to create self-contained applications. • How do I render from one render target to another?

  I have two render targets: a fake backbuffer; a special render target where I do all my rendering. a light render target; where I render my light fx. I'm sure I'm rendering correctly on both. The problem arises when I overlay the light render target onto the fake backbuffer by drawing a quad covering it: DxEngine.DrawSprite(0.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f, (float)DxEngine.GetWidth(), (float)DxEngine.GetHeight(), 0xFFFFFFFF, LightSurface->GetTexture()); Regardless of what's in the light target, nothing is rendered onto the other target. I tried clearing the light target with full-white or full-black, but still get nothing. Fake backbuffer created with Direct3dDev->CreateTexture(Width, Height, 1, D3DUSAGE_RENDERTARGET, D3DFMT_X8R8G8B8, D3DPOOL_DEFAULT, &Texture, nullptr); Light render target created with Direct3dDev->CreateTexture(Width, Height, 1, D3DUSAGE_RENDERTARGET, D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8, D3DPOOL_DEFAULT, &Texture, nullptr); I also tried to create both with D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8, again without difference. Both targets have the same width and height.   I have a silverlight application (using MVC) and when i'm building in visual studio, using Visual Studio Development center, there's no problem, the HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name has a Value But when i'm using the same project with IIS 7.5 (i'm using Windows 7), HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name stays empty Anyone who can help? Or knows where i can find the settings from the visual studio Development center, so i can check what's wrong in IIS?

  I'm trying to deploy a WCF service to my server, hosted in IIS. Naturally it works on my machine :) But when I deploy it, I get the following error: This collection already contains an address with scheme http. There can be at most one address per scheme in this collection. Googling on this, I find that I have to put a serviceHostingEnvironment element into the web.config file: <serviceHostingEnvironment> <baseAddressPrefixFilters> <add prefix="http://mywebsiteurl"/> </baseAddressPrefixFilters> </serviceHostingEnvironment> But once I have done this, I get the following: Could not find a base address that matches scheme http for the endpoint with binding BasicHttpBinding. Registered base address schemes are [https]. It seems it doesn't know what the base address is, but how do I specify it?
