    I am trying to write a batch file that will examine a given directory, read each file for a given string "Example" and then delete any files that contain the string. The files are also System Files so I don't know what the exact extension is or if that matters (maybe you can just omit a file type filter and have it read all files?). Some of the files will be locked from reading as well so it needs to handle access denial errors if that occurs, not sure how batch files handle that.

For example, a new file I create called index.php would have the appropriate tags auto-generated inside: <?php ?> I hope you get the idea. Does one, or could one, exist, preferably Windows based? Now I've to specify compression level when saving png format image through GD extension of PHP. Question Is there any case when I shouldn't compress PNG to maximum level? Like any compatibility issues? If there's no problem then why to ask user; why not automatically compress to max?

    My app runs fine on first run. On the Menu I added two choices options and quit. options which set up a new intent who goes to a PreferenceActivity and quit which simply call: "android.os.Process.killProcess(android.os.Process.myPid());" On the second time I run my app (after I quit from inside the emulator) it crashes..     I want a certain file (only this!) to remove the php extension for calling it. BUT: It uses get parameters and they should remain! I tried it with my .htaccess and something like: RewriteEngine on followed by either RewriteRule ^file(.*)$ file.php$1 or RewriteRule ^file(.+)$ file.php$1 but it doesn't work. (First gives error 500, second gives 404) Example what I want to call in the browser: file?param=asd&foo=bar - It should call as: file.php?param=asd&foo=bar

    Regular HTML select boxes (such as, e.g. found here), while being "chosen" are presented by the iPhone on a native widget that seems to totally ignore regular html font sizes and whatnot. It does some ellipsing when it goes too long, but the font is way too big for a list I want to present -- even on landscape, only about 35 characters can fit. Is there any way to tell the iPhone to use a smaller font there?

    I'd like to add one additional method for each service operation in my WCF client proxy code (i.e. the generated class that derives from ClientBase). I have written a Visual Studio extension that has an IOperationContractGenerationExtension implementation, but this interface only seems to expose the ability to modify the service interface, not the ClientBase-derived class. Is there any way to generate new methods in the proxy client class?

    Is there a way to rewrite the hg commit message if the wrong information was entered? We always include our Bug ID when we commit a changeset. For instance: hg commit -m "Bug 14585: LastName field should be mandatory" But If I put the wrong bug ID, is there a way (through an extension maybe) to fix the comment once the changeset has been committed (and possibly pushed)?

  • Java API to create pdf with tables: any recommendations?

    I need to create a PDF containing some tables. When looking on google/stackoverflow the most frequent API seems to be iText but that's under the AGPL licence and thus not desirable for my purposes. I also frequently see apache pdfbox but that does not seem to have native support for tables (although a slightly hacky way was posted at Apache PDFBox Java library - Is there an API for creating tables? ) Does anyone have any recommendations?
