Hey guys, I am working on a game, and wanted to add a screen that would open when the user clicked on certain objects. The screen would be laid out to have an image on the left, a title on the top right, and text below the title. I have a few problems with this, 1) How would I create the popup box? (preferably with rounded edges) 2) How would I wrap the text (in front of the picture, but not outside the popup-box, I may even need vertical scroll bars) 3) How would I account for different screen resolutions (would they even make a difference?) Sorry for the vague title but I really didn't know what title to give to this problem: I have the following result set: ID Data Culture 1 A nl-NL 2 B nl-NL 3 C nl-NL 4 A en-GB 5 B en-GB 6 A en 7 B en 8 C en 9 D en 10 A nl I would like to mimic the ASP.Net way of resource selection, user Culture (nl-NL) SELECT Data FROM Tbl WHERE Culture = 'nl-NL' Or when there are no results for the specific culture, try the parent Culture (nl) SELECT Data FROM Tbl WHERE Culture = 'nl' Or when there are no results for the parent culture, try the default Culture (en) SELECT Data FROM Tbl WHERE Culture = 'en' How can I combine these SELECT-statements in one T-SQL statement? I'm using LINQ so a LINQ expression would be even greater. The OR-statement won't work, because I don't want a mix of cultures. The ORDER BY-statement won't help, because it returns multiple records per culture.

UINavigationController Right button

Or Can this query be optimised? Any setting in SQL Server 2000?

Jquery Ajax Call In For Loop Only Runs Once - Possible Issue with Timing & Exit Condition?

Background I'm building a form that uses autocomplete against the EchoNest API. First the users picks an artist, using the Artist Suggest call. Next they select a song but the Song and/Or Artist song search doesn't provide a "wild card" search. It only returns exact matches. So based on the forums they suggest building an array of the songs and using auto complete on the array. I can only get a maximum of 100 responses at a time. I do know based on the initial response the number of songs. My Plan: Wrap the ajax call in a for loop ('runonceloop'). Amend the loop exit condition after the first response with the total number of songs. Challenge I'm having: The 'runonceloop' only completes a singe loop because or at least that's what I believe: The exit condition is satisfied before the first response [1] is received. I've tried to adjust the 'exit condition' and 'counter' such that they are set and and increased at the end of the success block. This seems to lock up my browser. Can someone provide some guidance on this situation?[2] I'd really appreciate it. I also don't think turning async off is a good idea because it locks the browser. gdata youtube api 302 'The document has moved'

I'm trying to get YouTube feeds with the python gdata library. Authentication features work ok, yt_service.ProgrammaticLogin() works, generating subauth token works, etc., but when I try to get some feeds (GetMostRecentVideoFeed, GetYouTubeVideoEntry, even GetFeed, and any other) I get: RequestError: {'status': 302, 'body': '<HTML><HEAD><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8">\n<TITLE>302 Moved</TITLE></HEAD><BODY>\n<H1>302 Moved</H1>\nThe document has moved\n<A HREF="http://www.google.com">here</A>.\r\n</BODY></HTML>\r\n', 'reason': 'Redirect received, but redirects_remaining <= 0'} 302 to 'google.com'??? I've even tried to do something from the google online tutorials and I get the same error. What's going on?

I'm trying to bind the load event with something like this: content.bind('load',???); But I don't know how to pass the load params, targetUrl and the callback function hideLoading, when binding the load event. Subcontrols not visible in custom control derived from another control

I'm trying to create a custom control by deriving from a ZedGraphControl I need to add a ProgressBar to the control, but I encountered some problems. When I create a custom control and add both, ZedGraphCOntrol and ProgressBar to it, everything is OK: MyCustomControl { ZedGraphControl ProgressBar } All elemnets are visible and working as expected. But I need to derive from ZGC and when I add a progress bar as a subcontrol of ZedGraphControl: MyCustomControl : ZedGRaphControl { ProgressBar } The progress bar is not visible. Is there any way to force the visibility of ProgressBar? Is it possible, that ZedGraphControl is not displaying its subcontrols? I tried do the same thing with a simple button and it's also not being displayed.

How can I view multiple git diffs side by side in vim

I'd like to be able to run a command that opens up a git diff in vim, with a tab for each file in the diff set. So if for example I've changed files foo.txt and bar.txt in my working tree and I ran the command I would see vim open with two tabs. The first tab would contain a side-by-side diff between foo.txt in my working tree and foo.txt in the repository, and the second tab would contain a side-by-side diff for bar.txt. Anyone got any ideas?

How can I get a view of favorite user documents by user in Couchdb map/reduce?

My Couchdb database as a main document type that looks something like: { "_id" : "doc1", "type" : "main_doc", "title" : "the first doc" ... } There is another type of document that stores user information. I want users to be able to tag documents as favorites. Different users can save the same or different documents as favorites. My idea was to introduce a favorite document to track this something like: { "_id" : "fav1", "type" : "favorite", "user_id" : "user1", "doc_id" : "doc1" } It's easy enough to create a view with user_id as the key to get a list of their favorite doc IDs. E.g: function(doc) { if (doc.type == "favorite") { emit(doc.user_id, doc.doc_id); } } However I want to list of favorites to display the user_id, doc_id and title from the document. So output something like: { "key" : "user1", "value" : ["doc1", "the first doc"] }

SSRS charts: How can I display the n biggest slices / bars?

Hi, I know how to group chart slices / bars below a certain threshold together into one bar. But if the data displayed in the chart contains lots of small slices, collecting slices below, say 5% results in a huge "other" bar. On the other hand, if I collect only slices below a very small treshold, the chart could contain too much data to be readable. So, how can I set a hard limit for the amount of slices, show the n biggest slices and collect everything else into one "other" slice. How can I do that with SSRS 2008? Thanks, Adrian

Getting really weird long Contact Group names

When looking at the Contact Groups on Google Contacts or in the People application of my HTC Legend phone, I get the groups names ok eg: Friends, Family, VIP, Favorite etc... I'm trying to use an RSS feed from my blog on the news section on another site. Everything seems to be working fine until I use something like an ellipsis on my blog. The expected output is: One more time…less fail Although this is no joking matter… The actual output is: One more time?less fail Although this is no joking matter… The problem is that ? should be a .... The code I'm using is the same for the first line (the blog title) and the second line (the blog contents) and that code is: $a = utf8_decode($a); print("$a"); Where $a is the string from the RSS feed. Can anyone point in the right direction why that code would work correctly for the body (second line) and not for the title (first line)? Or suggest a better way to do this? Thanks!

I'm in despair trying to draw this simple thing. Two columns stretching 100% vertically.
