  Hi all I am using sql server 2005 reporting service to generate report base on a database. There are two columns which are datetime type ColumnA and ColumnB. The report would display a KPI image on this report by comparing these two columns.Below is the expression for selecting image SWITCH(DateDiff("d",Fields!ColumnA.Value,Fields!ColumnB.Value)<0,"kpi_r", DateDiff("d",Fields!ColumnA.Value,Fields!ColumnB.Value)>0,"kpi_g", DateDiff("d",Fields!ColumnA.Value,Fields!ColumnB.Value)=0,"kpi_y") For most of the records, the image is correct. Only for one record, the result is very strange. For this record ColumnA=2010-04-23 08:00:00 ColumnB=2010-04-22 17:00:00 It would display kpi_r, it displayed kpi_y. I have checked the value of DateDiff(d,Fields!ColumnA.Value,Fields!ColumnB.Value) in the SSMS, the value is -1. Why does it display kpi_y? Does anyone meet this problem before? Best Regards,

  I'm looking for a good profiler for vs2008 professional edition, free or reasonably priced. I've already checked previous posts and tried about 8 profilers, but most of them are too basic or too detailed. Kindly suggest something, my requirements are as follows: It can be compiled, so that its well integrated with my application. I'm not shying away from instrumenting my methods. The output should be simple, i only need call count and time taken by methods and nothing else. I am mostly concerned about things INSIDE a method, you may call it line by line profiling. I want to select a method and know which line (expression / method call) is eating most of the time.

• Would it be simply better to use the system's functions rather than use the language?

  There are many scenarios where I've questioned PHP's performance with some of its functions, and whether I should build a complex class to handle specific things using its seemingly slow tools. For example, Complex regular expressions with sed and processing with awk would seemingly be exponential in performance rather than making PHP's regular expression and seemingly excessive functions parse and in time manage to finish it. If I were to do a lot of network tasks such as MX lookups/DIGging/retrieving simultaneously I would rather pass it via system() and let the OS handle it itself. There are simply too many functions in PHP, that are inefficient and result in slow pages or can be handled easier by the OS. What are your opinions? Do you think I should do the hard work with the OS in its own/custom functions?

  Hi, I'm using ColdFusion's reReplace() function for regular expression pattern replacement. I'd like to use a function call for the replacement string, and pass a matched backreference to it. Something like this: <cfset s = "STARTDATE_2010-05-07 00:05:00.0_ENDDATE" /> <cfset s = reReplace(s, "STARTDATE_([\s-.:0-9]*)_ENDDATE", dateAdd("h", 1, "\1")) /> But that fails because "The value of parameter 3, which is currently \1, must be a class java.util.Date value." But, if the length is not const size_t LengthC = 30; std::bitset< LengthC > bitsetC; // Line 30, say I face the following compilation error 'LengthC' cannot appear in a constant-expression template argument 1 is invalid What is the reason for that? What would be the problem, for compiler and for user code, if line 30 was to be accepted? Is it because LengthC might have some alias?

  I have some Crystal Reports connecting to a Sql Server db that I would like to detect whether the connection is trusted or whether I need to supply the log on info (reports are not supplied by me so I can't control the connect method). If I just blindly supply login credentials, it won't connect if it is a trusted connection. • Most efficient way to remove special characters from string

  I want to remove all special characters from a string. Allowed characters are A-Z (uppercase or lowercase), numbers (0-9), underscore (_), or the dot sign (.). • Sleep a thread until an event is attended in another thread from a different class

  I have an application that fires 2 threads, the 1st launches another class to do some processing which in turn launches a 3rd class to do yet more processing. The 2nd thread in the main class should wait until some event in the 3rd class completes before it performs its job. How can this be achieved? I had tried implementing a wait/notify to share a lock object between the two threads but technically this will not work as I found the hard way. Can I share a lock between classes? Note, an instance of the 3rd class is declared in the 1st class and passed as parameter to the 2nd class. Also I tried creating boolean value in 3rd class that tells when event is complete then poll 2nd thread till this value is true. This worked but is not very desirable. Also is actionListner a better approach to this problem?

  Hi, I am developing an application using PHP but I am new to regular expressions, I could not find a solution to my problem. I want to replace all occurences of #word with a link, i have written a preg_match for this: $text=preg_replace('~#([\p{L}|\p{N}]+)~u', '<a href="/?aranan=$1">#$1</a>', $text); The problem is, this regular expression also matches the html character codes like &#039; and gives corrupt output. I need to exclude the words starting with &# but i do not know how to do that using regular expressions. Thanks for your help.

  Hey all, I'm currently trying to create a Friendship domain object to link two User objects (with a bit of additional data: createDate, confirmedStatus). My domain model looks as follows class Friendship { User userOne User userTwo Boolean confirmed Date createDate Date lastModifiedDate static belongsTo = [userOne:User , userTwo:User] static constraints = { userOne() userTwo() confirmed() createDate() lastModifiedDate() } } I've also added the following entries to the user class static hasMany = [ friendships:Friendship ] static mappedBy = [ friendships:'userOne' , friendships:'userTwo' ] When I do this, the result is a new friendship created (and viewable through the controller) with both users listed in their respective places. When I view the details of userOne, I see the friedship listed. When I view the details of userTwo, no friendship is listed. This is not the behavior I expected. What am I doing incorrectly? Why can't I see the friendship listed under both users?

• Using report viewer, how do I pull from two seperate Datasets

  I have two datasets I need to pull from, A base that both reports use and then a separate one that only one report pulls from. I get the error Error 12 The Value expression for the text box ‘Textbox9’ refers to the field ‘Name’. Report item expressions can only refer to fields within the current dataset scope or, if inside an aggregate, the specified dataset scope. My best guess is I have to associate them with the correct dataset but I have not been able to find any documentation on this. Can someone please tell me where in the rdlc document I need to code something like name.value, "dataset1" or something similar?

  I have a user control (ascx) that I have added two public properties to: RequestTypeId and GroupId. Both have the attribute set. In my aspx page, I have a ListView, and in the ItemTemplate, I place my control reference, like so: <ctrl:ServiceTypeGroup runat="server" RequestTypeId="<%#RequestType.RequestTypeId%>" GroupId='<%#Eval("Id").ToString()%>' /> Setting the RequestTypeId works fine. Setting the GroupId fails with the following error: "Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control." What do I need to do to my user control code to allow binding a Eval() expression to one of its properties? Or is it not possible?

  In my database I have three tables: Users: UserID (Auto Numbering), UserName, UserPassword and a few other unimportant fields. PrivateMessages: MessageID (Auto Numbering), SenderID and a few other fields defining the message content. MessageStatus: MessageID, ReceiverID, MessageWasRead (Boolean) What I need is a query to which I input a user's id and I get all the private messages he has received. In addition, I also need to receive each message's sender UserName. For this I wrote the following query: SELECT Users.*, PrivateMessages.*, MessageStatus.* FROM PrivateMessages INNER JOIN Users ON PrivateMessages.SenderID = Users.UserID INNER JOIN MessageStatus ON PrivateMessages.MessageID = MessageStatus.MessageID WHERE MessageStatus.ReceiverID=[@userid]; But for some reason when I try saving it in my Access database, I get the following error (translated to English by me, since my office is in a different language): Syntax error (missing operator) at expression: "PrivateMessages.SenderID = Users.UserID INNER JOIN MessageStatus ON PrivateMessages.MessageID = MessageStatus.MessageI". • Can you use regular expressions in struts-config.xml?

  I'm trying to route these two url's to different Actions. We are using Struts 1.2: /abc-def/products /abc-def I tried putting this action first: <action path="/abc*/products" type="com.business.exampleAction"> <forward name="success" path="/go"/> </action> and then this one after: <action path="/abc*" type="com.business.differentExampleAction"> <forward name="success" path="/goElsewhere"/> </action> but it always goes to the second action (differentExampleAction in this case). I've tried various iterations for the , like . or (.*), but haven't found anything that actually works yet. From what I've read, it seems like the only regular-expression-like characters allowed in struts-config are the wildcard symbols (* and **), but I hope I am wrong.

  I have a text that contains string of a following structure: text I do not care about, persons name followed by two IDs. I know that: a person's name is always preceded by XYZ code and that is always followed by two, space separated numbers. Name is not always just a last name and first name. It can be multiple last or first names (think Latin american names). So, I am looking to extract string that follows the constant XYZ code and that is always terminated by two separate numbers. You can say that my delimiter is XYZ and two numbers, but numbers need to be part of the extracted value as well. From blah, blah XYZ names, names 122322 344322 blah blah I want to extract: names, names 122322 344322 Would someone please advise on the regular expression for this that would work with Python's re package.

  Oracle's NEAR operator for full text search returns a score based on the proximity of two or more query terms. For example: near((dog, bite), 6) matches if 'dog' and 'bite' occurs within 6 words. What if I'd like it to match if either 'dog' or 'cat' or any other type of animal occurs within 6 words of the word 'bite'? I tried: near(((dog OR cat OR animal), bite), 6) but I got: NEAR operand not a phrase, equivalence or another NEAR expression Rather than expanding all possible combination into multiple NEAR and 'or' them together, what is the proper way to write such query?

I want to send different types of data because user can choose from a variety of options that server can do for it. Any advices?
