  There are three column in the datatable A,B and C. Now each column is type of decimal. Now I am doing like dt.Columns["A"].Expression="B+C"; to make addition of Column B's record and column C's record. Now if there is any value of B or C is null then addition of B and C will be null like B's value is 3 and C's value is null for first row then B+C(3+null) will be null which is not appropriate, the result of addition should be 3.If I replace 0 instead of null then it will be ok.But whereever there is null value in the records it should be remain it is and it should not be replaced by 0.That is null value should not be replaced by 0 and when addition of null value is done with any decimal value null value should be considered as 0. Is it possible,how can we do this ?

For example, I'm trying to translate the following Java code into Groovy: { int i = 0; System.out.println(i); } int i = 10; System.out.println(i); The closest translation I can come up with is the following: boolean groovyIsLame = true; if (groovyIsLame) { int i = 0; System.out.println(i); } int i = 10; System.out.println(i); I know anonymous code blocks are often kind of an antipattern. But having variables with names like "inputStream0" and "inputStream1" is an antipattern too, so for this code I'm working on, anonymous code blocks would be helpful.

  Hello. Is it possible to have default arguments in Matlab? For instance, here: function wave(a,b,n,k,T,f,flag,fTrue=inline('0')) I would like to have the true solution be an optional argument to the wave function. If it is possible, can anyone demonstrate the proper way to do this? Currently, I am trying what I posted above and I get: ???   I have this code to concate some array elements: StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); private RatedMessage joinMessage(int step, boolean isresult) { sb.delete(0, sb.length()); for (int i = 0; i <= step; i++) { if (mStack[i] == null) continue; rm = mStack[i].getCurrentMsg(); if (rm == null || rm.msg.length() == 0) continue; if (sb.length() != 0) { sb.append(", "); } sb.append(rm.msg); } return sb.toString(); } Important the array holds max 10 items, so it's not quite much. My trace output tells me this method is called 18864 times, 16% of the runtime was spent in this method. Can I optimize more?

• Trouble compiling some decompiled C# code

  I was decompiling an open-source project (because the source for the latest version hasn't been released yet). Using RedGate's Reflector tool, it gave me this block of code: if(somecondition == true) { ref Vector3i vectoriRef; float num17 = length - num; Vector3i end = vectori3; (vectoriRef = (Vector3i) &end)[1] = vectoriRef[1] - ((int) num17); } somecondition is a boolean. length and num are floats defined outside the code. vectori3 is also defined outside the code and is of type Vector3i. The type Vector3i is essentially this code, but with x, y, and z stored as integers. When I try to compile this decompiled code, I get the following errors: Line 2: Only assignment, call, increment, decrement, and new object expressions can be used as a statement Line 3: ; expected Line 3: Invalid expression term 'ref' Line 6: 'Vector3i' is a 'type' but is used like a 'variable' Any thoughts on how I can fix this code so it compiles correctly and does whatever it was intended to do?

Do they actually save the ad/post in the database before continuing to Step 2 (Preview) but set a flag (like a boolean field called preview set to true)? It looks like they set a token paramater but I'm not sure what it's used for) I'm interested in this because it seems to go against the CRUD/REST and I thought it would be good to know how it worked. But my question comes when this class runs how is the Thread object allowed if there is no import call to a particular package? how does runnable know anything about Thread or its methods? does the runnable interface extend the thread class? ToDictionary(k => k, v => null); But I am getting the error "Cannot convert lambda expression to type System.Collections.Generic.IEqualityComparer' because it is not a delegate type" Any ideas how could I fix it? Which method is faster: Store the datetime as a double (via unix timestamp) Store the datetime as a datetime The application generating the timestamp data can output either format. Unfortunately, datetime will be a key for this particular data structure so speed will matter. Also, is it possible to make an index on an expression? For example, index on UNIX_TIMESTAMP(mydate) where mydate is a field in a table and UNIX_TIMESTAMP is a mysql function. I know that Postgres can do it. I'm thinking there must be a way in mysql as well.

  I'm trying to write a script that searches a directory for files and greps for a pattern. For example, # ./find.sh -i "some quoted string" grep: quoted: No such file or directory grep: string: No such file or directory Note that if $@ doesn't contain the path, the first script does do what I want.

At present the SQL is not written as a prepared statement so obviously it is at risk to a SQL injection so any help in regards to writing the SQL as a prepared statement would be really helpful. It's to be used as a client-side validation and I don't want to prevent users from entering whatever they want.   I'm fairly sure this is possible, but what I want to do is have a generic method where I can pass in an object along with a Expression that will tell the method which Property to use in it's logic.   I have this data structure: request ======= building_id lot_code building ======== building_id lot_id lot === lot_id lot_code The request table is missing the value for the building_id column and I want to fill it in from the other tables. So I've tried this: UPDATE request SET building_id = ( SELECT bu.building_id FROM building bu INNER JOIN lot lo ON bu.lot_id=lo.lot_id WHERE lo.lot_code = request.lot_code ); But I'm getting this error: Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , , = or when the subquery is used as an expression. Is it due to wrong syntax? The data model allows more than one building per lot but actual data doesn't contain such cases so there should be at most one building_id per lot_code.

• Generating dynamic C# based on textual data into the runtime?

  Is there a quick and easy way to load textual C# into a program. I would like to load the LINQ from the database as an Expression and run it against some data (SQL or Array/List don't mind). I know I can do it using the C# CodeDom/ExpressionTree builder with Assembly Loading and Creating AppDomains, but this seems very long winded. Is there an easier way. I thought with the advent of .net 3.5 that the ExpressionTree would come to my aid, but I now realise that I have to write a parser to use this. Maybe there is a new trick in 4.0? Something along the lines of a dynamic languages Parse would be great. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

  I need to compare two dates to show an edit link if it is within 5 mins after the post was made, in php. If after 5 mins dont show anything. $answer_post_date = get_the_time("Y-m-d"); $current_date = date("Y-m-d"); $formated_current_date = strtotime($answer_post_date); $formated_answer_post_date = strtotime($current_date); At this point i have two values: 1274414400 ($formated_current_date) 1276056000 ($formated_answer_post_date) I am not sure what to do next to check if the current date/time is ! 5 mins from answer post date. Any suggestions would be great All i really need the answer to be is a Boolean (yes/no) and if yes display the minuets left to show the link to edit.
