When you have a huge objects’ number in SSMS Object Explorer, you often get lost in finding items. So it’d be useful to catalog those objects in folders, in order to follow an application’s logical layer subdivision, for example. There is a fantastic add-in for SSMS that helps us to do that: http://www.sqltreeo.com The developer of this add-in has written a related post in his blog: http://www.sqltreeo.com/wp/dowload-free-ssms-add-in-to-create-own-folder-for-database-objects/ So another useful tool to add to our SQL Server toolbox

It seems that once or twice a week, I run across an Android-developer-oriented site that I hadn’t previously noticed. There are already a few aggregators and directories, and...
<b>Developer.com: </b>"Like many technologies, Git's shallow learning curve encourages adoption, yet it offers so many features and options that it can easily overwhelm beginners."
When one considers the amount of time and effort that Unit Testing consumes for the Database Developer, is surprising how few good SQL Server Test frameworks are around. tSQLt , which is open source and free to use, is one of the frameworks that provide a simple way to populate a table with test data as part of the unit test, and check the results with what should be expected. Sebastian and Dennis, who created tSQLt, explain.
We most often hear web developers as well as website design development companies asking in forums and developer boards about use of ASP, PHP & other scripting language and its possible negative effects on search engine optimization and effective SEO strategies for the website. There are many server side based scripting languages such as ASP, PHP, Cold Fusion, Python, and Pearl; among which PHP & ASP are more common.
I'd like to build a sidebar navigation for an online book much like apple did here:
http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/navigation/
(note it has collapsable entries)
and to my surprise I'm having a hard time finding a good off the shelve javascript startingpoint to build from.
What is this style of navigation sidebar called?
Are there any open source Javascript libraries that provide this style of navigation?

Besides finance (front-office/high frequency trading) developer roles, are there any other very well paid programming roles, specifically for C++ or Java?
One particular industry I would find interesting is the energy industry? However, I completed an internship for one of the massive energy companies and their "IT department" was nothing more than Microsoft Access- they outsourced all the technical work to IBM and Accenture.
EDIT: USD 110k+
Defense would sounds great except the fact I am not a US citizen :)
When I launch the successful iOS game "Clash of Clans", right in the beginning I get the following message in an iOS info pop-up:
"Clash of Clans is free to play, but you can speed up your progress with in-app purchases. If desired, purchases can be disabled in the general settings of your device."
What's the reason the developer shows this message right in the beginning? Is there any legal obligation to do so?
Everyone wants to go virtual, but getting started with Oracle’s VM VirtualBox can be tricky. James Koopmann takes a quick look at installing Oracle VM VirtualBox 3.2.4, covering some of the features you as a database administrator or database developer might run across while trying to install an operating system or Oracle database.
The articles collected here will help you understand the theories and methodologies behind every stage of the database delivery pipeline, starting when database changes are checked in, and ending when they're deployed to production.

JavaFX Script blends declarative programming concepts with object orientation. This provides a highly productive, yet flexible and robust, foundation for applications. However, with this flexibility comes responsibility from the developer.
Assuming no experience with version control systems, just local to live web development. I've been dropped in on a few legacy website projects, and want an easier and more robust way to be able to quickly push and revert changes en masse. I'm currently the only developer on these projects, but more may be added in the future and I think it would be beneficial to set up a system that others can use.
I read this question, but I'm more confused yet.
In developer.ubuntu.com/showdown I read: "(2) run out of /opt" (I understand "run out" is not in /opt :O Am I wrong?)
In https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AppReviewBoard/Review/Guidelines#Packaging I read: "our package should install most files in /opt/extras.ubuntu.com/"
It's not clear for me if the app must be in the /opt or out /opt :$
Then, can I use the /usr? Will be the app rejected if it's on /usr?
Thanks! :)

<b>Linux Devices:</b> "Earlier this month, an Adobe employee told Apple to go screw itself over its new restrictive developer policies for the iPhone 4.0. Now, Adobe says, it's moving on, officially focusing its Flash technology on Google's Android and other competing smartphone platforms."
<b>Linux User and Developer:</b> "Omnis Studio is a cross-platform (Windows, Mac and Linux) Rapid Application Development tool. It allows you to quickly build applications using a combination of graphical elements as well as a code editor."
I'm curious about what are the canonical responsibilities of such specialized role. Normally, I expected this to be part of the tasks of a normal developer, but in large companies I know this role is to be fulfilled by an engineer in his own. In my current company, there is a possibility for a new opening in a SCM position, so I could apply, but first I would like to hear about what, in your experience, characterize best this role.
