    Hi, I'm using the iPhone facebook connect package. How do I prepopulate the "publish to feed" example or take out the message field?     Like the title says, i want to disable images, and ActiveX Controls in the vb6 webbrowser control using DLCTL_NO_RUNACTIVEXCTLS and DLCTL_NO_DLACTIVEXCTLS Microsoft talk about it here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa741313.aspx But i dont see any way to access IDispatch::Invoke from the vb6 application. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Are there any small scale persisitant document/object databases?

    I have a few .Net projects that would benefit from using a document/object database opposed to a relational one. I think that db4o would be a good choice, but the $1200 commercial price tag is bit too much for us. I'd love to use MongoDb but it's design isn't for small scale, single server applications. Are there other options out there that I just haven't run across for small scale applications?

    Let us say Java didn't have annotations. What would be the ideas you would come up with to design something like Google Guice's DI framework? I am fairly new to Java and cannot think of anything other than what Junit3 Had XML Configuration Some kind of introspection? How would you inspect the elements that needed to be injected? What would be your ideal way of configuration other than annotations?

    Hi Fiburt, Today I meet a similar problem and it reminds me about this thread. In Visual Studio, if we open the .csproj file, we see that they tell us to uncomment the two targets AfterBuild and BeforeBuild so as to execute them after and before the build of the current project accordingly. My questions are: Where are these two targets called in Visual Studio? And how is it handled if the targets are not defined (be commented out) ?

  • Viewing an EXE File

    I was attempting to install an exe that requires a serial number before the install, which the vendor has not provided to us yet. This got my wheels turning about whether there is any information that can be gained from viewing an exe using a hex editor/VI/etc? Using VI to view an exe, I can see some sections of plain text, but it is difficult to determine what it refers to without any context around it. Is it possible to determine any information by reading an exe? Thanks

    Hello all, I'm looking for a Win32 equivalent of the .Net Encoding.GetEncoding Method to be used in Delphi7. What I would like to achieve is to convert a Codepage ID (ie.: 28592) to a Codapage name (iso-8859-2 in this case). After a few searches on the we I tried downloading and running the sample the source here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc164067.aspx I get a compile error: error C2440: 'static_cast' : cannot convert from 'UINT (__thiscall CStaticLink::* )(CPoint)' to 'LRESULT (__thiscall CWnd::* )(CPoint)' 1 Cast from base to derived requires dynamic_cast or static_cast (VS 2008) The tooltips functionality seems to be a bit of a challenge. Any suggestions on how to get this working are much appreciated.

    I am using javascript (and PHP) to validate a simple form with a phone number field. I have it working fine checking that the field has only 10 characters, but I really want to check if the field has between 10 and 11 characters. Reason being, some people type numbers like so: 1 555 555 5555 and some people do this 555 555 5555.   • In Eclipse, how can spaces behave as tabs ?

    I have replaced all my tabs by spaces. But now, when I hit backspace to remove an indentation level, it removes only one space. So I have to hit 4 times space to remove an indentation level. That is one of the most absurd thing I've seen in Eclipse, so I guess there is an option somewhere to enable us to remove 4 spaces as if it where a tab ? (because we use spaces instead of tabs for practical reason, 4 spaces is supposed to mean "1 tab") Thanks Note : I use Eclipse PDT
