  • TableView Cells Use Whole Screen Height

    - by Kyle
    I read through this tutorial Appcelerator: Using JSON to Build a Twitter Client and attempted to create my own simple application to interact with a Jetty server I setup running some Spring code. I basically call a get http request that gives me a bunch of contacts in JSON format. I then populate several rows with my JSON data and try to build a TableView. All of that works, however, my tableView rows take up the whole screen. Each row is one screen. I can scroll up and down and see all my data, but I'm trying to figure out what's wrong in my styling that's making the cells use the whole screen. My CSS is not great, so any help is appreciated. Thanks! Here's my js file that's loading the tableView: // create variable "win" to refer to current window var win = Titanium.UI.currentWindow; // Function loadContacts() function loadContacts() { // empty array "rowData" for table view cells var rowData = []; // create http client var loader = Titanium.Network.createHTTPClient(); // set http request method and url loader.setRequestHeader("Accept", "application/json"); loader.open("GET", "http://localhost:8080/contactsample/contacts"); // run the function when the data is ready for us to process loader.onload = function(){ Ti.API.debug("JSON Data: " + this.responseText); // evaluate json var contacts = JSON.parse(this.responseText); for(var i=0; i < contacts.length; i++) { var id = contacts[i].id; Ti.API.info("JSON Data, Row[" + i + "], ID: " + contacts[i].id); var name = contacts[i].name; Ti.API.info("JSON Data, Row[" + i + "], Name: " + contacts[i].name); var phone = contacts[i].phone; Ti.API.info("JSON Data, Row[" + i + "], Phone: " + contacts[i].phone); var address = contacts[i].address; Ti.API.info("JSON Data, Row[" + i + "], Address: " + contacts[i].address); // create row var row = Titanium.UI.createTableViewRow({ height:'auto' }); // create row's view var contactView = Titanium.UI.createView({ height:'auto', layout:'vertical', top:5, right:5, bottom:5, left:5 }); var nameLbl = Titanium.UI.createLabel({ text:name, left:5, height:24, width:236, textAlign:'left', color:'#444444', font:{ fontFamily:'Trebuchet MS', fontSize:16, fontWeight:'bold' } }); var phoneLbl = Titanium.UI.createLabel({ text: phone, top:0, bottom:2, height:'auto', width:236, textAlign:'right', font:{ fontSize:14} }); var addressLbl = Titanium.UI.createLabel({ text: address, top:0, bottom:2, height:'auto', width:236, textAlign:'right', font:{ fontSize:14} }); contactView.add(nameLbl); contactView.add(phoneLbl); contactView.add(addressLbl); row.add(contactView); row.className = "item" + i; rowData.push(row); } Ti.API.info("RowData: " + rowData); // create table view var tableView = Titanium.UI.createTableView( { data: rowData }); win.add(tableView); }; // send request loader.send(); } // get contacts loadContacts(); And here are some screens showing my problem. I tried playing with the top, bottom, right, left pixels a bit and didn't seem to be getting anywhere. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Disable input fields based on selection from drop down

    - by Thomas
    I have a drop down box and some text input fields below it. Based on which item from the drop down menu the user selects, I would like to disable some of the fields. I think I am failing to target the input fields correctly but I can't figure out what the problem is: Here is the script I have gotten so far: $(document).ready(function(){ var customfield = $('#customfields-tf-19-tf'); var customfield1 = $('#customfields-tf-20-tf'); var customfield2 = $('#customfields-tf-13-tf'); $(function() { var call_table = { 'Condominium': function() { customfield.attr("disabled"); }, 'Co-Op': function() { customfield1.attr("disabled"); }, 'Condop': function() { customfield2.attr("disabled"); } }; $('#customfields-s-18-s').change(function() { call_table[this.value](); }); }); }); And the layout for my form: <td width="260" class="left"> <label for="customfields-s-18-s">Ownership (Required):</label> </td> <td class="right"> <select name="customfields-s-18-s" class="dropdown" id="customfields-s-18-s" size="" > <option value="Condominium"> Condominium</option> <option value="Co-Op"> Co-Op</option> <option value="Condop"> Condop</option> </select> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="260" class="left"> <label for="customfields-tf-19-tf">Maintenance:</label> </td> <td class="right"> <input type="text" title="Maintenance" class="textInput" name="customfields-tf-19-tf" id="customfields-tf-19-tf" size="40"/> </td> </tr> <tr id="newsletter_topics"> <td width="260" class="left"> <label for="customfields-tf-20-tf">Taxes:</label> </td> <td class="right"> <input type="text" title="Taxes" class="textInput" name="customfields-tf-20-tf" id="customfields-tf-20-tf" size="40" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="260" class="left"> <label for="customfields-tf-13-tf" class="required">Tax Deductibility:</label> </td> <td class="right"> <input type="text" title="Tax Deductibility" class="textInput" name="customfields-tf-13-tf" id="customfields-tf-13-tf" size="40" /> </td> </tr>

  • Strategy for using snapshots to back up Ubuntu Linux server?

    - by MountainX
    I need some backup advice for my home file server. Here are the mount points, volume groups, logical volumes and used/total space of all the volumes on my Ubuntu 8.10 home file server. / vgA/lvRoot [7.5G/50G] /tmp vgB/lvTmp [195M/30G] /var vgB/lvVar [780M/30G] swap vgB/lvSwap [16.00 GB] /media1 vgC/lvMedia1 [400G/975G] /media2 vgC/lvMedia2 [75G/295G] /boot partition (no volume group) [95M/200M] /video partition (no volume group) [450G/950G] /backups vgD/lvBackupTarget [800G/925G] /home vgE/lvHome [85G/200G] I have just added a 2.0 TB external USB drive that I would like to use to backup everything. (It will be a close fit to get it all on one 2.0 TB drive. I actually have a 2nd external USB drive if needed.) I'd like to backup "/", var, /media1, media2 and /home. I'll deal with /boot and /video separately since they are not logical volumes. For all the logical volumes I'm anticipating taking snapshots and then copying those snapshots to the 2.0 TB external USB drive. I have never done a task like that before. If I do that, I could use the tutorial I found here: http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_lvm_snapshots My questions are: What is the best overall strategy? Is it LVM snapshots, as I'm assuming? How should I prepare, subdivide and mount the 2.0 TB external USB drive? 2.a. Should I create one or more regular partitions or should I create a physical volume with one or more logical volumes? 2.b. Would it be advisable to extactly mirror the source pv/lv layout on the external drive, and if so, is this a good strategy? What's the best way to get the snapshots onto the external drive? dd? Even though this is a strategy question, feedback with actual commands is appreciated. I need step-by-step cookbook-style help because I don't do much server admin work. (Background: This is a home file server that I have rarely had to touch in about 2 years. It has done its job without much intervention. The really old PC that I used to back everything up recently failed, so I'm replacing that with the external USB drive(s) and I'd like to upgrade my backup strategy at the same time. Previously, I just copied stuff from /backups over to the other computer and that would not have made things very easy in a real restore situation. The /backups mount point contains backup copies of "most" of the important data on a file by file basis, but it does not contain copies of /boot, etc. BTW, the actual internal HDD that holds /backups is separate from the other storage devices.) EDIT: I'll propose a strategy... The idea came from a comment here: LVM mirroring VS RAID1 "LVM mirrors are for replication of a logical volume to a different physical volume. It's essentially meant to "move the data to a different disk". The mirror is then broken..." That would fit my requirements well. Here is an ideal situation: establish the LV mirror on the external drive break the link with the mirror create a (persistent) snapshot on the mirror after a week, resync the mirror with the original source and update the mirror break the link and create another snapshot on the mirror. Obviously, the mirror will be like a weekly full backup. And the snapshots on the mirror will represent earlier points in time. If this would work and if it would be time efficient, it would give a nice full & differential type backup on the external drive based on LVM. I have not heard of a strategy like this before. Will it work? Could it be scripted? Thoughts? EDIT 2: Creating Portable DiskSafes With LoopbackFS And LVM Snapshots This article seems intriguing: http://www.howtoforge.com/creating-portable-disksafes-with-loopbackfs-and-lvm-snapshots Unfortunately, I don't understand exactly how to map those ideas to the strategy I'm proposing above. I'm going to ask this last bit as a separate question. I will leave my original question in place because I still desire feedback on the overall best strategy. At this moment I'm assuming it is LVM mirroring in the style of "Creating Portable DiskSafes with LVM Snapshots" but that might be wrong.

  • How can I anchor a textbox in wpf ?

    - by csuporj
    I have a window with tabs. On one of the tabs, I have a layout like below. (In fact it is more complicated, I have 4 text boxes in a row, and I have more rows.) How can I make the 3rd textbox have the width of the label + the width of the text box above, that is, to have them properly aligned ? The problem is that WPF widens the 3rd textbox, when I type text into it. Using hardcoded numbers for the sizes defeats the whole purpose of WPF. I could do that way 10 times faster in Windows Forms than in WPF. Is there a better way, than using a grid for each set of consecutive small text boxes, having to skip the large ones from the grid, because putting them in messes up everything. <Window x:Class="WpfApplication1.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="MainWindow" Height="350" Width="525"> <Window.Resources> <Style TargetType="{x:Type Label}"> <Setter Property="VerticalAlignment" Value="Center"/> </Style> <Style TargetType="{x:Type TextBox}"> <Setter Property="VerticalAlignment" Value="Center"/> <Setter Property="Margin" Value="3"/> </Style> <Style x:Key="SmallTextBox" TargetType="{x:Type TextBox}" BasedOn="{StaticResource {x:Type TextBox}}"> <Setter Property="Width" Value="50"/> </Style> </Window.Resources> <StackPanel VerticalAlignment="Top" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Width="{Binding ElementName=grid,Path=ActualWidth}" Grid.IsSharedSizeScope="True"> <Grid Name="grid" HorizontalAlignment="Left"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" SharedSizeGroup="c1"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" SharedSizeGroup="c2"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Label Content="Foo:"/> <TextBox Grid.Column="1" Style="{StaticResource SmallTextBox}"/> <Label Grid.Row="1" Content="Foobar:"/> <TextBox Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="1" Style="{StaticResource SmallTextBox}"/> </Grid> <TextBox Grid.Row="1"/> <Grid Name="grid2" HorizontalAlignment="Left"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" SharedSizeGroup="c1"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto" SharedSizeGroup="c2"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Label Content="Bar:"/> <TextBox Grid.Column="1" Style="{StaticResource SmallTextBox}"/> </Grid> </StackPanel> </Window>

  • FreeType2 Bitmap to System::Drawing::Bitmap.

    - by Dennis Roche
    Hi, I'm trying to convert a FreeType2 bitmap to a System::Drawing::Bitmap in C++/CLI. FT_Bitmap has a unsigned char* buffer that contains the data to write. I have got somewhat working save it disk as a *.tga, but when saving as *.bmp it renders incorrectly. I believe that the size of byte[] is incorrect and that my data is truncated. Any hints/tips/ideas on what is going on here would be greatly appreciated. Links to articles explaining byte layout and pixel formats etc. would be helpful. Thanks!! C++/CLI code. FT_Bitmap *bitmap = &face->glyph->bitmap; int width = (face->bitmap->metrics.width / 64); int height = (face->bitmap->metrics.height / 64); // must be aligned on a 32 bit boundary or 4 bytes int depth = 8; int stride = ((width * depth + 31) & ~31) >> 3; int bytes = (int)(stride * height); // as *.tga void *buffer = bytes ? malloc(bytes) : NULL; if (buffer) { memset(buffer, 0, bytes); for (int i = 0; i < glyph->rows; ++i) memcpy((char *)buffer + (i * width), glyph->buffer + (i * glyph->pitch), glyph->pitch); WriteTGA("Test.tga", buffer, width, height); } array<Byte>^ values = gcnew array<Byte>(bytes); Marshal::Copy((IntPtr)glyph->buffer, values, 0, bytes); // as *.bmp Bitmap^ systemBitmap = gcnew Bitmap(width, height, PixelFormat::Format24bppRgb); // create bitmap data, lock pixels to be written. • How do I center a UIImageView within a full-screen UIScrollView?

    - by Sebastian Celis
    In my application, I would like to present the user with a full-screen photo viewer much like the one used in the Photos app. This is just for a single photo and as such should be quite simple. I just want the user to be able to view this one photo with the ability to zoom and pan. I have most of it working. And, if I do not center my UIImageView, everything behaves perfectly. However, I really want the UIImageView to be centered on the screen when the image is sufficiently zoomed out. I do not want it stuck to the top-left corner of the scroll view. Once I attempt to center this view, my vertical scrollable area appears to be greater than it should be. As such, once I zoom in a little, I am able to scroll about 100 pixels past the top of the image. What am I doing wrong? @interface MyPhotoViewController : UIViewController <UIScrollViewDelegate> { UIImage* photo; UIImageView *imageView; } - (id)initWithPhoto:(UIImage *)aPhoto; @end @implementation MyPhotoViewController - (id)initWithPhoto:(UIImage *)aPhoto { if (self = [super init]) { photo = [aPhoto retain]; // Some 3.0 SDK code here to ensure this view has a full-screen // layout. } return self; } - (void)dealloc { [photo release]; [imageView release]; [super dealloc]; } - (void)loadView { // Set the main view of this UIViewController to be a UIScrollView. UIScrollView *scrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] init]; [self setView:scrollView]; [scrollView release]; } - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; // Initialize the scroll view. CGSize photoSize = [photo size]; UIScrollView *scrollView = (UIScrollView *)[self view]; [scrollView setDelegate:self]; [scrollView setBackgroundColor:[UIColor blackColor]]; // Create the image view. We push the origin to (0, -44) to ensure // that this view displays behind the navigation bar. imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0, -44.0, photoSize.width, photoSize.height)]; [imageView setImage:photo]; [scrollView addSubview:imageView]; // Configure zooming. CGSize screenSize = [[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds].size; CGFloat widthRatio = screenSize.width / photoSize.width; CGFloat heightRatio = screenSize.height / photoSize.height; CGFloat initialZoom = (widthRatio > heightRatio) ? heightRatio : widthRatio; [scrollView setMaximumZoomScale:3.0]; [scrollView setMinimumZoomScale:initialZoom]; [scrollView setZoomScale:initialZoom]; [scrollView setBouncesZoom:YES]; [scrollView setContentSize:CGSizeMake(photoSize.width * initialZoom, photoSize.height * initialZoom)]; // Center the photo. Again we push the center point up by 44 pixels // to account for the translucent navigation bar. CGPoint scrollCenter = [scrollView center]; [imageView setCenter:CGPointMake(scrollCenter.x, scrollCenter.y - 44.0)]; } - (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillAppear:animated]; [[[self navigationController] navigationBar] setBarStyle:UIBarStyleBlackTranslucent]; [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarStyle:UIStatusBarStyleBlackTranslucent animated:YES]; } - (void)viewWillDisappear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillDisappear:animated]; [[[self navigationController] navigationBar] setBarStyle:UIBarStyleDefault]; [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarStyle:UIStatusBarStyleDefault animated:YES]; } - (UIView *)viewForZoomingInScrollView:(UIScrollView *)scrollView { return imageView; } @end

  • How to use multiple instances of a usercontrol (with jquery) on the same page

    - by Julian
    Hi All, I've been working on an usercontrol with a jquery timer in it. At first I had the jquery within the usercontrol. But when I add 2 of those controls to my page the second usercontrol isn't showing it's data very well. Now I've put the jquery into the mainpage and the usercontrol only uses the id's of the jquery. Here is my usercontrol: <%@ Control Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="WebUserControl.ascx.cs" Inherits="WebUserControl" %> <style type="text/css"> #mainpanel { width: 145px; height: 123px; } </style> <div id="mainpanel"> <div> test</div> <div id="shortly" style="background-color: #FFFFFF"> </div> <button id="resetButton"> Reset </button> </div> Mainpage: <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %> <%@ Register Src="WebUserControl.ascx" TagName="WebUserControl" TagPrefix="uc1" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head runat="server"> <title>hoi</title> <script src="Scripts/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="Scripts/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <link href="Css/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8/jquery-ui.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/jquery.countdown.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $(function() { $("#mainpanel"); }); shortly = new Date(); shortly.setSeconds(shortly.getSeconds() + 5.5); $('#shortly').countdown({ until: shortly, onExpiry: liftOff, layout: '{sn}', }); $('#resetButton').click(function () { $('#mainpanel').effect("highlight", {}, 700 ); $('#shortly').effect("highlight", {}, 700 ); shortly = new Date(); shortly.setSeconds(shortly.getSeconds() + 5.5); $('#shortly').countdown('change', { until: shortly }); }); function liftOff() { // refresh the page window.location = window.location; } }); </script> </head> <body> <uc1:WebUserControl ID="WebUserControl1" runat="server" /> </body> </html> But still my usercontrols are acting weird, now my question is: "How can I make the SAME usercontrols work properly on ONE page?" Both of those use the same jquery code but the buttons etc. should only work within the usercontrol itself.

  • unsigned char* buffer (FreeType2 Bitmap) to System::Drawing::Bitmap.

FT_Bitmap *bitmap = &face->glyph->bitmap; int width = (face->bitmap->metrics.width / 64); int height = (face->bitmap->metrics.height / 64); // must be aligned on a 32 bit boundary or 4 bytes int depth = 8; int stride = ((width * depth + 31) & ~31) >> 3; int bytes = (int)(stride * height); // as *.tga void *buffer = bytes ? malloc(bytes) : NULL; if (buffer) { memset(buffer, 0, bytes); for (int i = 0; i < glyph->rows; ++i) memcpy((char *)buffer + (i * width), glyph->buffer + (i * glyph->pitch), glyph->pitch); WriteTGA("Test.tga", buffer, width, height); } // as *.bmp array<Byte>^ values = gcnew array<Byte>(bytes); Marshal::Copy((IntPtr)glyph->buffer, values, 0, bytes); Bitmap^ systemBitmap = gcnew Bitmap(width, height, PixelFormat::Format24bppRgb); // create bitmap data, lock pixels to be written. • Android project problem

    - by qwerty
    Hello, here I uploaded my Android project made in Eclipse. The idea is that i have a service, which computes the sum of two random numbers. But when i press the OK Button, i don't see the result in that edit box... why? What i'm doing wrong? Please help Thanks! EDIT: The code: //service class package service; import java.util.Random; import com.android.AplicatieSuma; import android.widget.EditText; import android.widget.TextView; public class ServiciuSuma { public ServiciuSuma() { } public int CalculateSum() { Random generator=new Random(); int n=generator.nextInt(); int m=generator.nextInt(); return n+m; } } The Application class: package com.android; import android.app.*; import service.*; public class ApplicationSum extends Application { public ServiciuSuma service = new ServiciuSuma(); } and the main Activity class: package com.android; import com.android.R; import android.app.Activity; import android.content.Intent; import android.graphics.Color; import android.graphics.PorterDuffColorFilter; import android.graphics.drawable.Drawable; import android.graphics.PorterDuff; import android.os.Bundle; import android.provider.Settings; import android.view.View; import android.view.View.OnClickListener; import android.widget.EditText; import android.view.Menu; import android.view.MenuInflater; import android.view.MenuItem; public class Activitate extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); View btn_ok = findViewById(R.id.btn_ok); btn_ok.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { CalculeazaSuma(); } }); } private void CalculeazaSuma() { AplicatieSuma appState = ((AplicatieSuma)this.getApplication()); EditText txt_amount = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.txt_amount); txt_amount.setText(appState.service.CalculateSum()); //BindData(); } } So that edit text does not show the sum of the random generated numbers, by the service. • Java - Problem when Resizing a JInternalFrame

    - by Amokrane
    Hi, In a previous SO question, I was talking about somes issues dealing with my MDI architecture. I have now another problem, when resizing my JInternalFrame. Here is a short video that illustrates the problem. I have a class: Cadre which is basically my JInternalFrame. public class Cadre extends JInternalFrame { /** Largeur par d'une fenêtre interne */ private int width; /** Hauteur d'une fenêtre interne */ private int height; /** Titre d'une fenêtre interne */ private String title; /** Toile associée à la fenêtre interne */ private Toile toile; /** Permet de compter le nombre de fenêtres internes ouvertes */ static int frameCount = 0; /** Permet de décaler les fenêtres internes à l'ouverture */ static final int xDecalage = 30, yDecalage = 30; public Cadre() { super("Form # " + (++frameCount), true, //resizable true, //closable true, //maximizable true);//iconifiable // Taille de la fenêtre interne par défaut width = 500; height = 500; // Titre par défaut title = "Form # " + (frameCount); // On associe une nouvelle toile à la fenêtre toile = new Toile(); this.setContentPane(toile); // On spécifie le titre this.setTitle(title); // Taille de chaque form par défaut this.setSize(width, height); // Permet d'ouvrir les frames de manière décalée par rapport à la dernière ouverte this.setLocation(xDecalage * frameCount, yDecalage * frameCount); } } And this is the JFrame that contains all the JInternalFrame(s): public class Fenetre extends JFrame { /** Titre de la fenêtre principale */ private String title; /** Largeur de la fenêtre */ private int width; /** Hauteur de la fenêtre */ private int height; /** Le menu */ private Menu menu; /** La barre d'outils */ private ToolBox toolBox; /** La zone contenant les JInternalFrame */ private JDesktopPane planche; /** Le pannel comportant la liste des formes à dessiner*/ private Pannel pannel; /** La liste de fenêtres ouvertes */ private static ArrayList<Cadre> cadres; public Fenetre(String inTitle, int inWidth, int inHeight) { // lecture de la taille de la frame width = inWidth; height = inHeight; // lecture du titre de la fenêtre title = inTitle; // On spécifie la taille de la fenêtre ainsi que le titre this.setSize(width, height); this.setTitle(title); // Initialisations des listes de cadres cadres = new ArrayList<Cadre>(); // Instanciation de la fenêtre this.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); // On définit un layout pour notre frame this.setLayout(new BorderLayout()); // On crée la zone supérieure : Menu + ToolBar JPanel banniere = new JPanel(); banniere.setLayout(new BorderLayout()); // Instanciation d'un menu menu = new Menu(this); this.setJMenuBar(menu); // En haut la ToolBox toolBox = new ToolBox(); this.add(toolBox, BorderLayout.NORTH); // Ajout du pannel à gauche pannel = new Pannel(); this.add(pannel, BorderLayout.WEST); **// Intialisation de la planche de dessin planche = new JDesktopPane(); // On ajoute une Internal frame à notre desktop pane Cadre cadre = new Cadre(); cadre.setVisible(true); planche.add(cadre); try { cadre.setSelected(true); } catch (PropertyVetoException e) { e.printStackTrace(); }** // Pour faire en sorte que le déplacement soit "nice" planche.setDragMode(JDesktopPane.OUTLINE_DRAG_MODE); // On ajoute le nouveau cadre crée à la liste des cadres cadres.add(cadre); // Le contenu principal de la fenêtre est la planche contenant les différentes JInternalFrame this.getContentPane().add(planche); this.setVisible(true); } } So as you can see, I have declared a: JDesktopPane inside the main JFrame of my application. Any idea how to solve this? Thank you!

  • How Do I Bind a "selected Item" in a Listbox to a ItemsControl in WPF?

    - by Scott
    LowDown: I am trying to create a Document Viewer in WPF. It will allow the user to preview selected documents and if they want, compare the documents in WPF. So they can view them side by side. The layout is this: Left side is a full list box. On the right side is a Collection or an Items control. Inside the items control will be a collection of the "selected documents" in the list box. So A user can select multiple items in the list box and for each new item they select, they can add the item to the collection on the right. I want the collection to look like a image gallery that shows up in Google/Bing Image searches. Make sense? The problem I am having is I can't get the WPFPreviewer to bind correctly to the selected item in the list box under the itemscontrol. Side Note: The WPFPreviewer is something Micorosft puts out that allows us to preview documents. Other previewers can be built for all types of documents, but im going basic here until I get this working right. I have been successful in binding to the list box WITHOUT the items control here: <Window.Resources> <DataTemplate x:Key="listBoxTemplate"> <StackPanel Margin="3" > <DockPanel > <Image Source="{Binding IconURL}" Height="30"></Image> <TextBlock Text=" " /> <TextBlock x:Name="Title" Text="{Binding Title}" FontWeight="Bold" /> <TextBlock x:Name="URL" Visibility="Collapsed" Text="{Binding Url}"/> </DockPanel> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </Window.Resources> <Grid Background="Cyan"> <ListBox HorizontalAlignment="Left" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource listBoxTemplate}" Width="200" AllowDrop="True" x:Name="lbDocuments" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=DocumentElements,ElementName=winDocument}" DragEnter="documentListBox_DragEnter" /> <l:WPFPreviewHandler Content="{Binding ElementName=lbDocuments, Path=SelectedItem.Url}"/> </Grid> Though, once I add in the ItemsControl, I can't get it to work anymore: <Window.Resources> <DataTemplate x:Key="listBoxTemplate"> <StackPanel Margin="3" > <DockPanel > <Image Source="{Binding IconURL}" Height="30"></Image> <TextBlock Text=" " /> <TextBlock x:Name="Title" Text="{Binding Title}" FontWeight="Bold" /> <TextBlock x:Name="URL" Visibility="Collapsed" Text="{Binding Url}"/> </DockPanel> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </Window.Resources> <Grid> <ListBox HorizontalAlignment="Left" ItemTemplate="{StaticResource listBoxTemplate}" Width="200" AllowDrop="True" x:Name="lbDocuments" ItemsSource="{Binding Path=DocumentElements,ElementName=winDocument}" DragEnter="documentListBox_DragEnter" /> <ItemsControl x:Name="DocumentViewer" ItemsSource="{Binding ElementName=lbDocuments, Path=SelectedItem.Url}" > <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <Grid Background="Cyan"> <l:WPFPreviewHandler Content="{Binding Url}"/> </Grid> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> </Grid> Can someone please help me out with trying to bind to the ItemsControl if I select one or even multiple items in the listbox.

  • Hidden Field asp.net

    I want to hide columns in asp.net in GridView then access the values in GridViewSelectIndexChanged using vb.net. I am using hidden fields in the GridView. When I try to access gives me an error object reference not set to an instance here is the code <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" OnSorting="GridView1_OnSorting" AllowPaging="True" AllowSorting="True" AutoGenerateColumns="False" BorderStyle="Outset" CellPadding="4" DataSourceID="odsA02_Tracking" ForeColor="#333333" GridLines="Vertical" Style="border-right: #0000ff thin solid; table-layout: auto; border-top: #0000ff thin solid; font-size: x-small; border-left: #0000ff thin solid; border-bottom: #0000ff thin solid; font-family: Arial; border-collapse: separate" Font-Size="Small" PageSize="30"> <FooterStyle BackColor="#507CD1" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="White" /> <RowStyle BackColor="#EFF3FB" /> <EditRowStyle BackColor="#2461BF" /> <SelectedRowStyle BackColor="#D1DDF1" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="#333333" /> <PagerStyle BackColor="#2461BF" ForeColor="White" HorizontalAlign="Center" /> <HeaderStyle BackColor="#507CD1" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="White" /> <AlternatingRowStyle BackColor="White" /> <Columns> <asp:CommandField ShowSelectButton="True" /> <asp:boundfield datafield="Since" HeaderText="Submit Date" ReadOnly=true SortExpression="Since" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Started_By" HeaderText="Submitted By" SortExpression="Started_By" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Client_FullName" HeaderText="Client Name" ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="Client_FullName" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Product_Desc" HeaderText="Product" ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="Product_Desc" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Branch_List" HeaderText="Branch" ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="Branch_List" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Event_AssignedID" HeaderText="Assigned To" ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="Event_AssignedID" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="DaysElapsed" HeaderText="Days Open" ReadOnly="True" SortExpression="DaysElapsed" /> <asp:BoundField DataField="Status" HeaderText="Status" SortExpression="Status" /> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText=Instance_ID > <ItemTemplate> <asp:HiddenField ID=lblInstanceID Value='<%#Eval("Instance_ID") %>' runat=server> </asp:HiddenField> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText=Seq_ID> <ItemTemplate> <asp:HiddenField ID=lblSeqID Value='<%#Eval("Seq_ID") %>' runat=server/> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText=Form_Code> <ItemTemplate> <asp:HiddenField ID=lblFormCode Value='<%#Eval("Form_Code") %>' runat=server/> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> </Columns> </asp:GridView> Protected Sub GridView1_SelectedIndexChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles GridView1.SelectedIndexChanged Dim Instance_ID As String Dim Seq_ID As String Dim Form_Code As String Dim PARMS As String Dim DestinationURL As String Dim DestinationParms As String Dim instanceID As String = CType(GridView1.FindControl("lblInstanceID"), HiddenField).Value End sub

  • Eclipse will not show 2.3 emulator for android compatibility package code

    - by Mark Lasby
    I am trying to learn fragments to modernize an app I originally wrote for android 1.5 that uses Date Picker Dialog. I am using the android-support-v4 library. When I run the code in Eclipse Juno 20120614-1722 it only shows android 4.0 emulators and there is a red X beside my Samsung phone running 2.3.5. When I push the package to phone, the code runs. Here is the code FragTestActivity.java package xyz.marklasby.fragtest; import java.text.SimpleDateFormat; import java.util.Calendar; import android.app.DatePickerDialog; import android.os.Bundle; import android.support.v4.app.DialogFragment; import android.support.v4.app.FragmentActivity; import android.view.View; import android.widget.Button; import android.widget.DatePicker; public class FragTestActivity extends FragmentActivity { private Button date; private Calendar now; private SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(" EEE MMM dd/yyyy"); @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); date = (Button) findViewById(R.id.setdate); now = Calendar.getInstance(); date.setText(sdf.format(now.getTime())); date.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { editDate(v); } }); } public void editDate(View v) { DialogFragment newFragment = DatePickerFragment.newInstance(new DatePickerDialog.OnDateSetListener() { @Override public void onDateSet(DatePicker view, int year, int monthOfYear, int dayOfMonth) { now.set(year, monthOfYear, dayOfMonth); date.setText(sdf.format(now.getTime())); } }); newFragment.show(getSupportFragmentManager(), "datePicker"); } } DatePickerFragment.java package xyz.marklasby.fragtest; import java.util.Calendar; import android.app.DatePickerDialog; import android.app.Dialog; import android.os.Bundle; import android.support.v4.app.DialogFragment; public class DatePickerFragment extends DialogFragment { static DatePickerDialog.OnDateSetListener mListener; public static DatePickerFragment newInstance(DatePickerDialog.OnDateSetListener listener) { mListener = listener; return new DatePickerFragment(); } @Override public Dialog onCreateDialog(Bundle savedInstanceState) { final Calendar c = Calendar.getInstance(); int year = c.get(Calendar.YEAR); int month = c.get(Calendar.MONTH); int day = c.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH); return new DatePickerDialog(getActivity(), mListener, year, month, day); } } Manifest.xml <manifest xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" package="xyz.marklasby.fragtest" android:versionCode="1" android:versionName="1.0" > <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="8" android:targetSdkVersion="15" /> <application android:icon="@drawable/ic_launcher" android:label="@string/app_name" android:theme="@style/AppTheme" > <activity android:name=".FragTestActivity" android:label="@string/title_activity_frag_test" > <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> </application> </manifest> What am I doing wrong?

  • uiscrollview not switching image subviews

    - by nickthedude
    I'm building a comic viewer app, that consists of two view controllers, the root viewcontroller basically displays a view where a user decides what comic they want to read by pressing a button. The second viewController actually displays the comic as a uiscrollview with a toolbar and a title at the top. So the problem I am having is that the comic image panels themselves are not changing from whatever the first comic you go to if you select another comic after viewing the first one. The way I set it up, and I admit it's not exactly mvc, so please don't hate, anyway the way I set it up is each comic uiscrollview consists of x number of jpg images where each comic set's image names have a common prefix and then a number like 'funny1.jpg', 'funny2.jpg', 'funny3.jpg' and 'soda1.jpg', 'soda2.jpg', 'soda3.jpg', etc... so when a user selects a comic to view in the root controller it makes a call to the delegate and sets ivars on instances of the comicviewcontroller that belongs to the delegate (mainDelegate.comicViewController.property) I set the number of panels in that comic, the comic name for the title label, and the image prefix. The number of images changes(or at least the number that you can scroll through), and the title changes but for some reason the images are the same ones as whatever comic you clicked on initially. I'm basing this whole app off of the 'scrolling' code sample from apple. I thought if I added a viewWillAppear:(BOOL) animated call to the comicViewController everytime the user clicked the button that would fix it but it didn't, after all that is where the scrollview is laid out. Anyway here is some code from each of the two controllers: RootController: -(IBAction) launchComic2{ AppDelegate *mainDelegate = [(AppDelegate *) [UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; mainDelegate.myViewController.comicPageCount = 3; mainDelegate.myViewController.comicTitle.text = @"\"Death by ETOH\""; mainDelegate.myViewController.comicImagePrefix = @"etoh"; [mainDelegate.myViewController viewWillAppear:YES]; [mainDelegate.window addSubview: mainDelegate.myViewController.view]; comicViewController: -(void) viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { self.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor viewFlipsideBackgroundColor]; // 1. setup the scrollview for multiple images and add it to the view controller // // note: the following can be done in Interface Builder, but we show this in code for clarity [scrollView1 setBackgroundColor:[UIColor whiteColor]]; [scrollView1 setCanCancelContentTouches:NO]; scrollView1.indicatorStyle = UIScrollViewIndicatorStyleWhite; scrollView1.clipsToBounds = YES; // default is NO, we want to restrict drawing within our scrollview scrollView1.scrollEnabled = YES; // pagingEnabled property default is NO, if set the scroller will stop or snap at each photo // if you want free-flowing scroll, don't set this property. scrollView1.pagingEnabled = YES; // load all the images from our bundle and add them to the scroll view NSUInteger i; for (i = 1; i <= self.comicPageCount; i++) { NSString *imageName = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@%d.jpg", self.comicImagePrefix, i]; NSLog(@"%@%d.jpg", self.comicImagePrefix, i); UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:imageName]; UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; // setup each frame to a default height and width, it will be properly placed when we call "updateScrollList" CGRect rect = imageView.frame; rect.size.height = kScrollObjHeight; rect.size.width = kScrollObjWidth; imageView.frame = rect; imageView.tag = i; // tag our images for later use when we place them in serial fashion [scrollView1 addSubview:imageView]; [imageView release]; } [self layoutScrollImages]; // now place the photos in serial layout within the scrollview } - (void)layoutScrollImages { UIImageView *view = nil; NSArray *subviews = [scrollView1 subviews]; // reposition all image subviews in a horizontal serial fashion CGFloat curXLoc = 0; for (view in subviews) { if ([view isKindOfClass:[UIImageView class]] && view.tag 0) { CGRect frame = view.frame; frame.origin = CGPointMake(curXLoc, 0); view.frame = frame; curXLoc += (kScrollObjWidth); } } // set the content size so it can be scrollable [scrollView1 setContentSize:CGSizeMake((self.comicPageCount * kScrollObjWidth), [scrollView1 bounds].size.height)]; } Any help would be appreciated on this. • RelativeLayout, ScrollView and navigation bar at bottom

    - by MicNeo
    What I want to do is, make layout like this: Title Date Long text with scrolling Navigation bar stick to the bottom Well I have done everything, however there is a little problem with scrolling. I want only to scroll text. Title and date should be stick to the top, and nav bar to the bottom of activity. And yes, it works, but my nav bar overlaps text :/ I tried everything, there is one solution I found, set fixed height for Scrollview, but this will not work on every devices well, isn't it? I probably could do some calculation in code, and on it change height, but I would like to stay in XML. Any one have any suggestions? • Android: Get the X and Y coordinates of a TextView?

    - by Jep Knopz
    I am working now on a project. I have 2 draggable textView in a circle. I want to add those value inside the circle when the circle is drag over the other circle. the first option that I have is to get the X and Y of the circle, but I get it. Can anyone fix my code? Here is the Code: MainActivity public class MainActivity extends Activity { int windowwidth; int windowheight; TextView bola; TextView bola2; private float x; private float y; private android.widget.RelativeLayout.LayoutParams layoutParams; @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); windowwidth = getWindowManager().getDefaultDisplay().getWidth(); windowheight = getWindowManager().getDefaultDisplay().getHeight(); bola = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.ball); bola2 = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.ball2); bola2.setOnTouchListener(new View.OnTouchListener() { @Override public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub layoutParams = (RelativeLayout.LayoutParams) bola2 .getLayoutParams(); switch (event.getActionMasked()) { case MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN: break; case MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE: int x_cord = (int) event.getRawX(); int y_cord = (int) event.getRawY(); if (x_cord > windowwidth) { x_cord = windowwidth; } if (y_cord > windowheight) { y_cord = windowheight; } layoutParams.leftMargin = x_cord - 25; layoutParams.topMargin = y_cord - 75; bola2.setLayoutParams(layoutParams); break; default: break; } return true; } }); bola.setOnTouchListener(new View.OnTouchListener() { @Override public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event) { layoutParams = (RelativeLayout.LayoutParams) bola .getLayoutParams(); switch (event.getActionMasked()) { case MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN: break; case MotionEvent.ACTION_MOVE: int x_cord = (int) event.getRawX(); int y_cord = (int) event.getRawY(); if (x_cord > windowwidth) { x_cord = windowwidth; } if (y_cord > windowheight) { y_cord = windowheight; } layoutParams.leftMargin = x_cord - 25; layoutParams.topMargin = y_cord - 75; bola.setLayoutParams(layoutParams); break; default: break; } // TODO Auto-generated method stub return true; } }); } @Override public boolean onCreateOptionsMenu(Menu menu) { getMenuInflater().inflate(R.menu.activity_main, menu); return true; }} Activity_main.xml <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" xmlns:tools="http://schemas.android.com/tools" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" > <TextView android:id= "@+id/ball" android:background="@drawable/bgshape" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="1" tools:context=".MainActivity" /> <TextView android:id= "@+id/ball2" android:background="@drawable/bgshape" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="2" tools:context=".MainActivity" android:layout_x="60dp" android:layout_y="20dp" /> The bgshape.xml(for the circle) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <shape xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" > <padding android:bottom="20dp" android:left="25dp" android:right="25dp" android:top="20dp" /> <stroke android:width="2dp" android:color="#000000" /> <solid android:color="#ffffff" /> <corners android:bottomLeftRadius="30dp" android:bottomRightRadius="30dp" android:topLeftRadius="30dp" android:topRightRadius="30dp" /> This code works well. Could anyone fix this so that I can add the value inside the circle when they hit each other?

  • TabHost / TabWidget - Scale Background Image ?

    - by user359519
    I need to scale my TabWidget background images so they maintain aspect ratio. I am using a TabHost with a TabWidget. I am then using setBackgroundDrawable to set the images. I found a close answer here - Background in tab widget ignore scaling. However, I'm not sure just where to add the new Drawable code. (Working with the HelloTabWidget example, none of my modules use RelativeLayout, and I don't see any layout for "tabcontent".) I also found this thread - Android: Scale a Drawable or background image?. According to it, it sounds like I would have to pre-scale my images, which defeats the whole purpose of making them scaleable. I also found another thread where someone subclassed the Drawable class so it would either not scale, or it would scale properly. I can't find it now, but that seems like a LOT to go through when you should just be able to do something simple like mTab.setScaleType(centerInside). Here's my code: main.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <TabHost xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@android:id/tabhost" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:background="@drawable/main_background"> <LinearLayout android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> <FrameLayout android:id="@android:id/tabcontent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1"/> <TabWidget android:id="@android:id/tabs" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="0"/> </LinearLayout> </TabHost> main activity: tabHost.setOnTabChangedListener(new OnTabChangeListener() { TabHost changedTabHost = getTabHost(); TabWidget changedTabWidget = getTabWidget(); View changedView = changedTabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(0); public void onTabChanged(String tabId) { int selectedTab = changedTabHost.getCurrentTab(); TabWidget tw = getTabWidget(); if(selectedTab == 0) { //setTitle("Missions Timeline"); View tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(0); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_timeline_on)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(1); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_map_off)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(2); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_search_off)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(3); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_news_off)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(4); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_license_off)); //ImageView iv = (ImageView)tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(0).findViewById(android.R.id.icon); //iv.setImageDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_timeline_on)); //iv = (ImageView)tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(1).findViewById(android.R.id.icon); //iv.setImageDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_map_off)); } else if (selectedTab == 1) { //setTitle("Spinoffs Around You"); View tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(0); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_timeline_off)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(1); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_map_on)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(2); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_search_off)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(3); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_news_off)); tempView = tabHost.getTabWidget().getChildAt(4); tempView.setBackgroundDrawable(getResources().getDrawable(R.drawable.tab_license_off)); } I also tried 9patch images, but they wind up being too small. So, what's the best way to go about this?

  • WYSIHAT 'resonds_to_parent" undefined method - Ruby on Rails

    - by bgadoci
    I just successfully installed WysiHat in my rails blog. Seems that the 'add a picture' feature is not working. It successfully allows me to find and select a picture from my desktop but upon clicking save, it does nothing. I also have Paperclip successfully installed and can attach images to records outside the WYSIHAT form field. Any ideas? (let me know if I need to post any code). • Persistence classes in Qt

    - by zarzych
    Hi, I'm porting a medium-sized CRUD application from .Net to Qt and I'm looking for a pattern for creating persistence classes. In .Net I usually created abstract persistence class with basic methods (insert, update, delete, select) for example: public class DAOBase<T> { public T GetByPrimaryKey(object primaryKey) {...} public void DeleteByPrimaryKey(object primaryKey) {...} public List<T> GetByField(string fieldName, object value) {...} public void Insert(T dto) {...} public void Update(T dto) {...} } Then, I subclassed it for specific tables/DTOs and added attributes for DB table layout: [DBTable("note", "note_id", NpgsqlTypes.NpgsqlDbType.Integer)] [DbField("note_id", NpgsqlTypes.NpgsqlDbType.Integer, "NoteId")] [DbField("client_id", NpgsqlTypes.NpgsqlDbType.Integer, "ClientId")] [DbField("title", NpgsqlTypes.NpgsqlDbType.Text, "Title", "")] [DbField("body", NpgsqlTypes.NpgsqlDbType.Text, "Body", "")] [DbField("date_added", NpgsqlTypes.NpgsqlDbType.Date, "DateAdded")] class NoteDAO : DAOBase<NoteDTO> { } Thanks to .Net reflection system I was able to achieve heavy code reuse and easy creation of new ORMs. The simplest way to do this kind of stuff in Qt seems to be using model classes from QtSql module. Unfortunately, in my case they provide too abstract an interface. I need at least transactions support and control over individual commits which QSqlTableModel doesn't provide. Could you give me some hints about solving this problem using Qt or point me to some reference materials? Update: Based on Harald's clues I've implemented a solution that is quite similar to the .Net classes above. Now I have two classes. UniversalDAO that inherits QObject and deals with QObject DTOs using metatype system: class UniversalDAO : public QObject { Q_OBJECT public: UniversalDAO(QSqlDatabase dataBase, QObject *parent = 0); virtual ~UniversalDAO(); void insert(const QObject &dto); void update(const QObject &dto); void remove(const QObject &dto); void getByPrimaryKey(QObject &dto, const QVariant &key); }; And a generic SpecializedDAO that casts data obtained from UniversalDAO to appropriate type: template<class DTO> class SpecializedDAO { public: SpecializedDAO(UniversalDAO *universalDao) virtual ~SpecializedDAO() {} DTO defaultDto() const { return DTO; } void insert(DTO dto) { dao->insert(dto); } void update(DTO dto) { dao->update(dto); } void remove(DTO dto) { dao->remove(dto); } DTO getByPrimaryKey(const QVariant &key); }; Using the above, I declare the concrete DAO class as following: class ClientDAO : public QObject, public SpecializedDAO<ClientDTO> { Q_OBJECT public: ClientDAO(UniversalDAO *dao, QObject *parent = 0) : QObject(parent), SpecializedDAO<ClientDTO>(dao) {} }; From within ClientDAO I have to set some database information for UniversalDAO. That's where my implementation gets ugly because I do it like this: QMap<QString, QString> fieldMapper; fieldMapper["client_id"] = "clientId"; fieldMapper["name"] = "firstName"; /* ...all column <-> field pairs in here... */ dao->setFieldMapper(fieldMapper); dao->setTable("client"); dao->setPrimaryKey("client_id"); I do it in constructor so it's not visible at a first glance for someone browsing through the header. In .Net version it was easy to spot and understand. Do you have some ideas how I could make it better?

  • How to create a Facebook-App style notifications custom table?

    - by Tim Büthe
    I want to add a custom table to my iPhone app, that should look and work like the one used in the facebook app showing the notifications. It should contain rows with links in it. The text should be black, while the tap-able parts should appear blue. As a already figured out, labels only have one font, color and so on and you can't mix styles within it, I would have to use different components. The tab-able text parts maybe UIButtons with custom style without any border. I tried different approches to build the custom cell. I used Interface Builder, to layout components, but since the different parts have variable lengths they overlaid each other. I also tried to add instances of UIButton and UILabel as a subview to the cell's contentView as descibed in Apple's tutorial. The problem with this is that: The position and size of the components is fix and set when they get created using "initWithFrame:...". My code in "tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath:" looks like this: UIButton *usernameButton; UILabel *mainLabel, *secondLabel; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { // cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0, 0.0, 220.0, 60.0) reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; [cell setBackgroundColor: [UIColor yellowColor]]; usernameButton = [[[UIButton alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0, 0.0, 220.0, 15.0)] autorelease]; usernameButton.tag = USERNAME_BUTTON_TAG; // ... format, font etc. usernameButton.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleLeftMargin | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight; [cell.contentView addSubview:usernameButton]; mainLabel = [[[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0, 20.0, 220.0, 15.0)] autorelease]; mainLabel.tag = MAINLABEL_TAG; // ... format, font etc. mainLabel.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleLeftMargin | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight; [cell.contentView addSubview:mainLabel]; secondLabel = [[[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0, 40.0, 220.0, 15.0)] autorelease]; secondLabel.tag = SECONDLABEL_TAG; // ... format, font etc. secondLabel.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleLeftMargin | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight; [cell.contentView addSubview:secondLabel]; } else { usernameButton = (UIButton *) [cell.contentView viewWithTag:USERNAME_BUTTON_TAG]; mainLabel = (UILabel *)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:MAINLABEL_TAG]; secondLabel = (UILabel *)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:SECONDLABEL_TAG]; } usernameButton.titleLabel.text = @"Peter"; mainLabel.text = @"sent you a message: ..."; secondLabel.text = @"11 minutes ago"; return cell; In a nutshell, I want to add the labels and buttons without a fix position or size, the buttons clickable and the cell height should automatically set according to the content. Here is an example of the cell's content: Peter sent you a message: "Hello! What are you doing?" Peter should be click/tab-able and his message, which has a variable length, should be italic and wrapped if necessary.

    - by Lucy
    Android Development Query Hello, I wonder if anyone could help me, i am trying to save an image (jpg or png) from the res/raw or assets folder to the SD card location (/sdcard/DCIM/). I have been following a tutorial which can save an image from a URL to the SD card Root, but i have looked everywhere to be able to save from res/raw or asset folder instead, and to a differnet location onthe sd card /sdcard/DCIM/ Here is the code, can anyone show me how to do the above from this? Thanks Lucy public class home extends Activity { private File file; private String imgNumber; private Button btnDownload; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); btnDownload=(Button)findViewById(R.id.btnDownload); btnDownload.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { public void onClick(View v) { btnDownload.setText("Download is in Progress."); String savedFilePath=Download("http://www.domain.com/android1.png"); Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "File is Saved in "+savedFilePath, 1000).show(); if(savedFilePath!=null) { btnDownload.setText("Download Completed."); } } }); } public String Download(String Url) { String filepath=null; try { //set the download URL, a url that points to a file on the internet //this is the file to be downloaded URL url = new URL(Url); //create the new connection HttpURLConnection urlConnection = (HttpURLConnection) url.openConnection(); //set up some things on the connection urlConnection.setRequestMethod("GET"); urlConnection.setDoOutput(true); //and connect! urlConnection.connect(); //set the path where we want to save the file //in this case, going to save it on the root directory of the //sd card. File SDCardRoot = Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(); //create a new file, specifying the path, and the filename //which we want to save the file as. String filename= "download_"+System.currentTimeMillis()+".png"; // you can download to any type of file ex:.jpeg (image) ,.txt(text file),.mp3 (audio file) Log.i("Local filename:",""+filename); file = new File(SDCardRoot,filename); if(file.createNewFile()) { file.createNewFile(); } //this will be used to write the downloaded data into the file we created FileOutputStream fileOutput = new FileOutputStream(file); //this will be used in reading the data from the internet InputStream inputStream = urlConnection.getInputStream(); //this is the total size of the file int totalSize = urlConnection.getContentLength(); //variable to store total downloaded bytes int downloadedSize = 0; //create a buffer... byte[] buffer = new byte[1024]; int bufferLength = 0; //used to store a temporary size of the buffer //now, read through the input buffer and write the contents to the file while ( (bufferLength = inputStream.read(buffer)) > 0 ) { //add the data in the buffer to the file in the file output stream (the file on the sd card fileOutput.write(buffer, 0, bufferLength); //add up the size so we know how much is downloaded downloadedSize += bufferLength; //this is where you would do something to report the prgress, like this maybe Log.i("Progress:","downloadedSize:"+downloadedSize+"totalSize:"+ totalSize) ; btnDownload.setText("download Status:"+downloadedSize+" / "+totalSize); } //close the output stream when done fileOutput.close(); if(downloadedSize==totalSize) filepath=file.getPath(); //catch some possible errors... } catch (MalformedURLException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } catch (IOException e) { filepath=null; btnDownload.setText("Internet Connection Failed.\n"+e.getMessage()); e.printStackTrace(); } Log.i("filepath:"," "+filepath) ; return filepath; } }

  • Encoding Problem with Zend Navigation using Zend Translate Spanish in XMLTPX File Special Characters

    - by Routy
    Hello, I have been attempting to use Zend Translate to display translated menu items to the user. It works fine until I introduce special characters into the translation files. I instantiate the Zend_Translate object in my bootstrap and pass it in as a translator into Zend_Navigation: $translate = new Zend_Translate( array('adapter' => 'tmx', 'content' => APPLICATION_PATH .'/languages/translation.tmx', 'locale' => 'es' ) ); $navigation->setUseTranslator($translate); I have used several different adapters (array,tmx) in order to see if that made a difference. I ended up with a TMX file that is encoded using ISO-8859-1 (otherwise that throws an XML parse error when introducing the menu item "Administrar Applicación". I display the menu in the layout: echo $this->navigation()->menu(); It will display all menu items just fine, EXCEPT the one using special characters. It will simply be blank. NOW - If I use PHP's UTF8-encode inside of the zend framework class 'Menu' which I DO NOT want to do: Line 215 in Zend_View_Helper_Navigation_Menu: if ($this->getUseTranslator() && $t = $this->getTranslator()) { if (is_string($label) && !empty($label)) { $label = utf8_encode($t->translate($label)); } if (is_string($title) && !empty($title)) { $title = utf8_encode($t->translate($title)); } } Then it works. The menu item display correctly and all is joyful. The thing is, I do not want to modify the library. Is there some kind of an encoding setting in either zend translate or zend navigation that I am not finding? Please Help! Zend Library Version: 1.11
