    I am building a web site similar to Craigslist. I would like to know how to store the html formatted text (bold / italics / font size etc) in a sql 2008 database? In order words, the user would enter their text, format it with font size, bold etc and save the information. Whats the most efficient way to store that in a database?

  • Drop down menus and pathetic art of styling

    Sorry folks, I must be brain-dead or something but I can't get the styling on these drop-down menus to cooperate. I have the color and the font right, but I have unwanted spaces between the list elements and the a and the a:hover sizes should be the same. I would appreciate some help getting this to work correctly. I have two drop down list. the First one is the country when the country selected then the page load and appear the city to select but afte the pageload the values on textbox is empty. So far, i manage to use Mechanize to load a web-driver browser and to connect to some page but Mechanize module do not support js directly so now i need something like Selenium if i understand correct.   • Opening txt files in Internet Explorer 8 parses some html

    I'm not sure if it's just me, but whenever I open .txt files in internet explorer, it always parses the HTML, so forms, buttons, fields all show up. It does this on multiple computers, and I'm fairly sure it hasn't always done this. I know FireFox doesn't, FireFox loads it as a text file. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, have you solved it? If so again, how?

    I am looking for a way to implement "View as HTML" (as seen in e.g. GMail) for Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF documents stored in an intranet. Can anyone recommend approaches for this? The intranet consists of multiple .NET sites, so I would prefer a .NET library (one that doesn't launch MS Word on the server) for this capability, but any kind of arrangement is welcome.
