  • How to filter SVN branch in Hudson's POLL SCM?

    - by Koert
We're using Hudson on an SVN repository that hosts a number of projects. One of these projects takes a long time to build, even if no files were changed. Right now Hudson's "Poll SVN" detects that the subversion repository has changed and will try to build the project, even if that change was in a different project. Is there a way to set up "Poll SCM" to only respond to changes in a certain branch?

  • Is there already FUSE filesystem that serialise each request to stream?

    - by Vi
Concept: nc -lp 1234 -e fusexmp_server nc 127.0.0.1 1234 -c "fusestream /mnt/tmp" Advantages are: Easy implementation of servers in high level language (without need of any arch-dependent things like JNI or whatever) Simple ad-hoc networking filesystem out of the box. Accessibility without actual FUSE (when it is inaccessible): nc -lp 1234 -e fusexmp_server& fakefusestream 127.0.0.1 1234 % ls bin lib usr proc etc % get /etc/hosts % exit Is there already such thing or I should implement it?

  • WPF WrapPanel - all items should have the same width

    - by John
I have a ListBox whose ItemsPanel I have replaces with a WrapPanel. The WrapPanel now hosts the databound ListboxItems. Each item has a variable sized text in it, giving each item a different width. However, I want the width to be constant so that all items have the same width as the item with the longest text. Is that possible?

  • FOSS solution for a local machine: DNS

    - by Shyam
Hi, I love my Mac. But I have always found that my DNS lookups are as slow, even while flushing caches and I travel over know roads on the Internet. I was wondering if someone would know something a bit more automatic/intelligent than /etc/hosts and less complex and iron forged as BIND. Thank you for your feedback and answers!

  • Simple way to do SURBL lookup from Java?

    - by StaxMan
I am reading about SURBLs (known spam hosts), for purpose of classifying spam, as a batch process. Main access method seems to be via DNS lookups. I was wondering what's the usual way to do such lookups from Java code. Since this is a batch process with no strict performance requirements, I think most important feature would just be simplicity.

  • how works applications which blocks web sites?

    - by noisy
I know only one low-level way of blocking websites - hosts file. However, it is obvious that main stream programs has some other way of achieving this. I have an idea for new model of this kind of program, but without possibility of blocking sites it is useless :(

  • Firefox and Chrome slow on localhost; known fix doesn't work on Windows 7

    - by Herb Caudill
Firefox and Chrome are known to be slow on localhost when IP6 is enabled. In previous versions of Windows, the simplest fix is to comment out this line from the hosts file, as explained in the answer to this question. ::1 localhost However, as noted in this question, in Windows 7 this line is already commented out: # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself. # 127.0.0.1 localhost # ::1 localhost Is there an alternative way to disable the ::1 localhost reference in Windows 7?

  • How do I use python-webkit2png to take many screenshots at the same time?

    - by oldfellow
I've got thousands of urls from many hosts I need to screenshot. I can use the lib fine from the command line, but how can I integrate it into my code so I can take multiple screenshots simultaneously? I think it's something to do with xvfb as with the answer to this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1747022/how-to-kill-headless-x-server-started-via-python but I'm not sure what exactly.

  • C# MySQL Connector works in IDE, not after publish?

    - by MTBPatriot
For some reason I can't seem to get the MySQL Net Connector to work with C# outside of the IDE. I have a very simple program working just fine in the IDE (connecting to the database and everything) but when I publish the code and run the .application file (on my local computers desktop or off the company server) it says it can't connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :( Thank you

  • How do I use a file grep comparison inside a bash if/else statement?

    - by openid_kenja
When our server comes up we need to check a file to see how the server is configured. We want to search for the following string inside our /etc/aws/hosts.conf file: MYSQL_ROLE=master Then, we want to test whether that string exists and use an if/else statement to run one of two options depending on whether the string exists or not. What is the BASH syntax for the if statement? if [ ????? ]; then #do one thing else #do another thing fi
