• JOptionPane opening another JFrame

  So I'm continuing my fight with this : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2923545/creating-java-dialogs/2926126 task. Now my JOptionPane opens new window with envelope overfiew, but I can't change size of this window. Also I wanted to have sender's data in upper left corner, and receiver's data in bottom right. How can I achieve that ? There is also issue with OptionPane itself. After I click 'OK' it opens small window in the upper left corner of the screen. What is this and why it's appearing ? • How to write a bison grammer for WDI?

  I need some help in bison grammar construction. From my another question: I'm trying to make a meta-language for writing markup code (such as xml and html) wich can be directly embedded into C/C++ code. I need to build an interpreter to translate this code to html and posteriorly insert it into C, so that it can be compiled. The C part stays intact. Inside the wdi source it is not necessary to use prints, every return statement will be used for output (in printf function). The program's output will be clean html code. • Proxy Issues with Javascript Cross Domain RSS Feed Parsing

I get no JS errors, but I in the Console tab in firebug I get "407 Proxy Authentication Required" So I'm not really sure how to make this work. The goal is to be able to grab the RSS feed, parse it to grab the titles and links and spit it out into some HTML on any website on the web. I"m basically making a simple RSS widget for my site's various RSS feeds. My Javascript is wack Also, I'm really a beginner with Javascript. I know jQuery pretty well, but I wasn't able to use it in this case, because this script will be embeded on any site and I can't really rely on the jQuery library. So I was decided to write some basic Javascript relying on the default XML parsing options available. Any suggestions here would be cool. Thanks! What's with the x and y They way my site creates RSS feeds is that the first title is actually the RSS feed title. The second title is the title of the first item. The first link is the link to the first item. So when using the javascript to get the title, I had to first grab the first title (which is the RSS title) and then start with the second title that being the first title of the item. Sorry for the confusion, but I don't think this is related to my issue. Just wanted to clarify my code.

• Clear float issue

  I have a page with the standard navigation bar on the left and the content area taking up the rest of the horizontal area to its side. For modern browsers I am using table-row and table-cell values for the display attribute. However, for IE7 I included a conditional stylesheet that tries to float the nav bar. This works fine except when the content area itself has floated elements and I try to use clear. My goal is to displayed the clear element right after the content area floats but instead it gets shoved down below the nav area. The following demo code shows this issue. • When Clearing an ObservableCollection, There are No Items in e.OldItems

  I have something here that is really catching me off guard. I have an ObservableCollection of T that is filled with items. I also have an event handler attached to the CollectionChanged event. When you Clear the collection it causes an CollectionChanged event with e.Action set to NotifyCollectionChangedAction.Reset. Ok, that's normal. But what is weird is that neither e.OldItems or e.NewItems has anything in it. I would expect e.OldItems to be filled with all items that were removed from the collection. Has anyone else seen this? And if so, how have they gotten around it? Some background: I am using the CollectionChanged event to attach and detach from another event and thus if I don't get any items in e.OldItems ... I won't be able to detach from that event. CLARIFICATION: I do know that the documentation doesn't outright state that it has to behave this way. But for every other action, it is notifying me of what it has done. So, my assumption is that it would tell me ... in the case of Clear/Reset as well. • Wrapping a paragraph inside a div?

  How do I make my paragraph wrap inside my div? It is currently overflowing outside of the div and I have no idea how to stop the paragraph from overflowing over the edge. I do not want a scroll bar with: overflow: scroll; and the other overflow options don't seem to help here either... • Google Chrome Frame and Facebook Javascript SDK - Cannot login

  On the example below i have an html page with the javascript code needed to login to facebook. On the i have the Google Chrome Frame meta tag that makes the page run with google chrome frame. If you open this page with any browser the finish() callback runs normally. If you open it with Google Chrome Frame it never fires. So this means that every Facebook App that tries to login to gather user data cannot login. This happens if the page is opened with google frame. But even if i remove the meta tag so that the page can open with IE8 the page opens again with google chrome frame because Facebook opens google chrome frame by default. So because this is a Facebook app that runs inside an inside facebook.com it is forced to open with Google Chrome Frame! SERIOUS BUG! I got it working, but now I can't seem to get it to automatically save the file to the location without prompting the user. It needs to run every day at a specified time, so it can save the previous days leads into a .XSL file on the web host. • AIDL based two way communication

  I have two apps between which I want some data exchanged. As they are running in different processes, so, I am using AIDL to communicate between them. Now, everything is happening really great in one direction (say my apps are A and B) i.e. data is being sent from A to B but, now I need to send some data from B to A. I noticed that we need to include the app with the AIDL in the build path of app where the AIDL method will be called. So in my case A includes B in its build path. For B to be able to send something to A, by that logic, B would need A in its build path. This would create a cycle. I am stuck at this point. And I cannot think of a work around this loop. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) . • Create and Share a File (Also a mysterious error)

  My goal is to create a XML file and then send it through the share Intent. I'm able to create a XML file using this code FileOutputStream outputStream = context.openFileOutput(fileName, Context.MODE_WORLD_READABLE); PrintStream printStream = new PrintStream(outputStream); String xml = this.writeXml(); // get XML here printStream.println(xml); printStream.close(); I'm stuck trying to retrieve a Uri to the output file in order to share it. I first tried to access the file by converting the file to a Uri File outFile = context.getFileStreamPath(fileName); return Uri.fromFile(outFile); This returns file:///data/data/com.my.package/files/myfile.xml but I cannot appear to attach this to an email, upload, etc. If I manually check the file length, it's proper and shows there is a reasonable file size. Next I created a content provider and tried to reference the file and it isn't a valid handle to the file. The ContentProvider doesn't ever seem to be called a any point. Uri uri = Uri.parse("content://" + CachedFileProvider.AUTHORITY + "/" + fileName); return uri; This returns content://com.my.package.provider/myfile.xml but I check the file and it's zero length. How do I access files properly? Do I need to create the file with the content provider? If so, how? Update Here is the code I'm using to share.   I made a JSONP widget. However, when one of the partner sites put it in their page, (1) it doesn't render at all in IE and (2) in other browsers (Firefox & Google Chrome), the HTML of the widget renders incorrectly: the <aside> closes prematurely, before the Financial Aid Glossary. It's something specific to that page because it works fine on this example college resource center page. To fix these two issues, I tried saving the page source to a local file and messing around with the local file and with Firebug, deleting DOM elements and stuff. I even tried fixing the errors that The W3C Markup Validation Service found. But, I still couldn't get it to render correctly. How should I tell them to change their page so that the widget renders correctly? Or, how should I update the widget script I wrote? • Getting client denied when accessing a wsgi graphite script

  I'm trying to set up graphite on my Mac OS X 10.7 lion, i've set up apache to call the python graphite script via WSGI, but when i try to access it, i get a forbiden from apache and in the error log. "client denied by server configuration: /opt/graphite/webapp/graphite.wsgi" I've checked that the scripts location is allowed in httpd.conf, and the permissions of the file, but they seem correct. What do i have to do to get access.
