  • java , eclipse jar problem

    Hello , i'm kind of new to java.   • Taglocity install error

    When I run the installer for both taglocity 2 and 3, during the installation I get the following error: Error 1001: Exception occurred while initializing the installation: System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorException: Configuration system failed to initalize. When I try to continue with the installation by clicking OK, a dialog appears with the title ADX Loader with the message: The system cannot find the file specified. Clicking OK causes the installation to roll back. I’m using Outlook 2007 on Windows XP.

  • What causes an MSI package to launch following application install

    We have an application we have developed, it gets deployed via an MSI I built. The MSI has been used in many locations, on many different builds. On one customers site, on occasion we are seeing some odd occurrences of data from the registry going missing. The 'data' from some select registry keys disappears and we have little idea why. One interesting point is that the MSI installer for our application has been seen in passive mode during OS load / load of our application on stat-up. The MSI loads a progress bar then disappears, following this our application loads up. It has been noted that following this the data disappears from our registry. However I can't say these two events are absolutely linked, it could have been missing before this event. What causes the MSI for an application to launch way after initial installation. How can it be prevented (correctly)

  • Changing Clickonce source folder

    We copy our production build in a separate folder using post-build events, and replace the app.config file with our production app.config. However Clickonce reads the files in bin\Release folder. I have also tried copying all files from our custom build location to bin\Release folder in the post-build event, but app.config is still overridden (I guess clickonce re-builds the project into bin\Release). Is it possible to tell Clickonce to read from our custom folder? Or, if that's not the right way to go, how do you handle this kind of situation?

If you're part of the etherpad open source community, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for questions tagged 'etherpad' just in case this catches on! My actual question, which assumes you have etherpad installed on your own server: First, here's a query to view recently edited pads: SELECT id,lastWriteTime,creationTime,headRev FROM PAD_SQLMETA ORDER BY lastWriteTime, headRev; Or, if you want to run it from a unix prompt: mysql -u root -pPASSWD etherpad -e "select id,lastWriteTime,creationTime,headRev from PAD_SQLMETA order by lastWriteTime, headRev" That's handy, however lastWriteTime actually gets updated every time someone so much as views a pad in their browser. I'd rather sort the pads by when they were actually last edited. There's probably a fancy SQL query involving a join with another table that would show actual last edit time. Does anyone know what that is? Alternatively, you could have a script that notices when headRev changes but that doesn't seem like the cleanest way to do it.

After unzipping, this is the structure of the files: executable_file config.mk doc include lib Makefile sources I have only worked with "usual" Makefile projects. But I do not undersatnd the meaning of config.mk here. Do you know which kind of "build" structure (what is the right name for this concept?) is it, and where can i find more information about this? I need to modify it, so it compiles in another hardware, so I do not know where I sohuld work on. Thanks

  • Source control issue with deploying versions

    Hi all, we have this discussion about how to deploy to production revisions that are UAT closed without revisions with UAT not-closed status. We are using SVN and we figured out that we are not able to just take revisions without prior-revisions on the same file made. Let me explain it on this example: we have 3 revisions made on same file: r1: UAT closed (ready to deploy) r2: UAT not-closed (not ready) r3: UAT closed (ready to deploy) now I want to deploy only my changes for which the UAT is closed (e.g. r1 and r3). In SVN this is not possible because r3 contains also r2 changes.. How do you made this to work? Maybe branching? Or just take r1 and wait until r2 is UAT closed? thanks

    Hi, I'm working on a small academic research about extremely long and complicated functions in the Linux kernel. I'm trying to figure out if there is a good reason to write 600 or 800 lines-long functions. For that purpose, I would like to find a tool that can extract a function from a .c file, so I can run some automated tests on the function. For example, If I have the function cifs_parse_mount_options() within the file connect.c, I'm seeking a solution that would roughly work like: extract /fs/cifs/connect.c cifs_parse_mount_options and return the 523 lines of code(!) of the function, from the opening braces to the closing braces. Of course, any way of manipulating existing software packages like gcc to do that, would be most helpful too.   • Is it possible to re-create the Windows 8.1 install image after the upgrade

    I have downloaded and installed the Windows 8.1 upgrade from the Windows store. The hardware was a 64-bit Toshiba P50 laptop. I need to upgrade a second P50 and wish to do so without another 3.6Gb download (I tried the instructions here but never got the chance to create the installation media, nor was I asked for a product key). I saw mention on superuser of creating USB rescue media after installation and using that to clone the upgrade onto another machine. Is this likely to be a viable option?

    Hi, My hierarchy ask me to setup a production Windows server 2008 virtual machine (HyperV) with SQL 2000 Standard Ed. installed on it. I can't find on the net much information about the relative "compatibility" of SQL2000 on WinSrv2008. Of course I found some obscure answers like : "it's impossible, it's not supported, don't do it". I already setup the machine, it's working, but... I don't know where I'm going. Do you experienced this kind of configuration ? Could you give me some advices ? Could you tell me the pros and cons ?     Hello, When serving an iframe application in Facebook, is there anyway I can know when a user visits my site through Facebook as an application or if he reached the site directly (typed my domain URL in the browser)? I know I can check if the user has a cookie (named "u") which tells me that the user used facebook to get an access_token. However, if the user visited the application one minute ago and got the access_token cookie, but then typed the URL in the browser, checking for the existence of the cookie will return TRUE, although the visitor arrived to the site directly.   • How not to lose binding source updates?

    Suppose I have a modal dialog with a textbox and OK/Cancel buttons. And it is built on MVVM - i.e. it has a ViewModel object with a string property that the textbox is bound to. Say, I enter some text in the textbox and then grab my mouse and click "OK". Everything works fine: at the moment of click, the textbox loses focus, which causes the binding engine to update the ViewModel's property. I get my data, everybody's happy. Now suppose I don't use my mouse. Instead, I just hit Enter on the keyboard. This also causes the "OK" button to "click", since it is marked as IsDefault="True". But guess what? The textbox doesn not lose focus in this case, and therefore, the binding engine remains innocently ignorant, and I don't get my data. Dang! Another variation of the same scenario: suppose I have a data entry form right in the main window, enter some data into it, and then hit Ctrl+S for "Save". Guess what? My latest entry doesn't get saved! This may be somewhat remedied by using UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, but that is not always possible. One obvious case would be the use of StringFormat with binding - the text keeps jumping back into "formatted" state as I'm trying to enter it. And another case, which I have encountered myself, is when I have some time-consuming processing in the viewmodel's property setter, and I only want to perform it when the user is "done" entering text. This seems like an eternal problem: I remember trying to solve it systematically from ages ago, ever since I've started working with interactive interfaces, but I've never quite succeeded. In the past, I always ended up using some sort of hacks - like, say, adding an "EnsureDataSaved" method to every "presenter" (as in "MVP") and calling it at "critical" points, or something like that... But with all the cool technologies, as well as empty hype, of WPF, I expected they'd come up with some good solution.

  • Cannot get Virtual PC to install on my machine

    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I ran the tool to check that hardware virtualization is enabled, and it is (i7-2600). I ran the proper version of the Virtual PC download (Windows 7 Professional x64) and I can see the Windows Virtual PC (KB958559) update in my installed updates list. The .msu file runs fine without errors, but even after multiple reboots I can't actually find a trace of Virtual PC anywhere. There is nothing in program files, the start menu, or system32. Am I missing a step?

I've got to the part where I want to put this data into the database, but now I'm thinking I shouldn't hard code the connection to the database, there must be a way to get the connection details from the Spring Security configuration. Is there? If so how?
