• Sequence Number in testing Spring application with JUnit (Hibernating, Spring MVC)

  I am testing DAO in Spring Application. @RunWith(SpringJUnit4ClassRunner.class) @ContextConfiguration(locations = "classpath:/applicationContext.xml") @TransactionConfiguration(transactionManager = "transactionManager", defaultRollback = true) @Transactional public class CommentDAOImplTest { @Autowired //testing mehods here} The tests are running good. Iam able to add an comment and I also have a defaultRollback property set. So, the added comment will be deleted automatically. happy!..Now the problem is with the sequence number for mcomment. Can I, in any way rollback the seq number? any suggestins on that. I dont want to mess up the sequrnce number. Business requires comment Id to be showed. (I still dont know why). I know in memory db is an option....but I am guessing defaultRollback purpose is to eliminate in memory db testing and mocking. (Just my opinion.)

  How is it possible to auto start my application or run a process when the user turns on the phone. If you look at ex. Outloock WP7 included in the operating system then updates the icon so that you can see that there are new mail. This is a process in the background running. But I've read a bit about this now, but can not find out that this is possible using the SDK from Microsoft? Is it not possible?? If possible, how does one do that? Notice: I do not want any solution that involves jailbreak.

  I am working on an in-house, iOS app that will need read-only access to a SQL Server with multiple databases. I know the stock answer here is "write some web services", but I'd like a solution that is self-contained. Is there any way to directly connect to a SQL Server database from an iOS application? I'm thinking something like a basic ODBC connection. I've seen a lot of users asking this question, but very few answers other than "write a web service." Is that really the only way?

• DLL Load Failed: %1 is not a valid win32 application

  So I have a situation where I need to make binary patches and then be able to apply them from within python. I found bsdiff which looks like a great algorithm and has a python extension module, but that extension module doesn't have a windows installer past Python 2.5 Alright, so having never even written C seriously, let alone attempted a python extension module, I set out to compile it myself. After a few hours of bashing my head against a DLL load error with MinGW32, I managed to get it compiled and built using the setup.py provided in the source of the project. However, upon importing the resulting bsdiff module, I get: ImportError: DLL load failed: %1 is not a valid Win32 application. Any advice?

• Sharing data between two instances in a load balanced java web application

  I want to cache data in a java web application deployed on multiple instances. We are using spring 2.5.6. What is the easiest caching library to configure and use with spring? I have heard of EH Cache, but the configuration is too cumbersome. The requirement is that a spring scheduler will run and set some flags. These flags are accessible from all load balanced instances. But since the scheduler runs only on one instance the flag is set only on that jvm. So how do i make these updated flag values available to all load balanced instances?

However, this newly launched Form appears above other application windows, despite: Setting Process.WindowStyle.Hidden to the Form-displaying process Overriding the ShowWithoutActivation and CreateParams properties of the Form.   Hi experts, I am developing my application in asp.net 3.5 and sql server 2005, and I want to record the visitor info into my database, like once the visitor enter my website, I'll insert his browser details to the database. [It's not necessary that visitor login my website]. Now I am confused where to put my code, If I put insert function in every page_load then on every page it will execute and I'll not be able to get the exact number of visitor, visited my website. Shall I go with application_start in Global.asax ?? Please help.

• Timeout loading application on GAE using web2py

  I am uploading an app to GAE. Through some experimentation I've found that if I don't include wsgihandler.py, the app loads very slowly. It feels like it's looking for this file and them timing out. Besides the slow loading, everything works perfectly without wsgihandler.py, so I want to know if there is a simple way to remove the references to the file. I tried poking around the files, but it doesn't look like there are direct references. Also, I asked before what I need at a minimum to get an application to work, and I found that I need: web2py/app.yaml web2py/gaehandler.py web2py/VERSION web2py/gluon/* (and subfolders, this is web2py) web2py/applications/theoneappyouwanttodeploy/* (and subfolders)

  Hello everyone, At the moment i'm making an application where it is possible to make profiles with different settings. Which datatypes would you recommend me saving these information in? I have a table which is showing the profile name and the version number. But for each profile there need to be stored more information. Therefore the idea i'm working on have 2 arrays. 1 for all the profile information and 1 who is being made when loading the information. The second array is the one going to be showed in the table. Because the table doesnt show all the stored information. .. but this seems kinda stupid. Is there a more suitable method for saving the information in like 1 array, and just pass part of the data to the tableview?

• (Win Api) Check if an external application window is on the taskbar

  Hello. I'd like to know if it's possible to know if an external application has an window that is showing up on the taskbar. I have a program that sometimes shows up an error message and it appears on the taskbar. If I "close" the message, it will go invisible, but from what I've seen it still exists. So the only way for me to know if that window is visible and thus "clickable" is to check if it is being shown on the taskbar or not. How can I do this? Thanks

• Utilizing a third party application for GitHub in a django project

  I'm trying to use a third party application located here: git://github.com/Star2Billing/django-audiofield.git I'm using Aptana Studio as my IDE. I created my project and then I clicked on the project and imported the app from the github location. It looked like it imported. I wanted to check that it imported properly before beginning any real coding so I performed manage.py validate. I got a message that stated: "No module named audiofield". I added the app to my Installed Apps settings and followed the installation instructions. I'm not sure if I'm importing it incorrectly. Also, I'm using virtualenv in Aptana. I'm not sure if this may have added to the problem. Please help.

• Application runs on eclipse emulator, but not others

  I'm new to android app development but I've successfully created my first real application in eclipse. It runs perfectly in the eclipse emulator so I compiled it and tried to install it on another emulator. It installs successfully, but won't run at all. I'm not even sure how to begin finding the error since everything works so well in eclipse. Can someone refer me to a resource to help me start troubleshooting the problem. I think it might have something to do with the compilation, but I just don't know. Thanks!

  Hi, I'm very very new to OSX/UNIX and i was wondering how i would go about getting a certain text from a application window. Explanation: App1 is running, it has a textfield with changing data. I start app2 and i want the data in the textfield from app1 available in app2. (i did not write app1 its a commercial app) I guess it should probably be done in c++ but any other solutions are welcome.   Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on my first iOS application to run on the iPad, and I've come across a problem. I have been asked to implement menu's similar to the ones in the default applications such as when you click on the "Calendars" button in the top left of the calendars app. Only issue is, I cant seem to find a standard UI object that looks like these, with the arrow connecting the menu to the button etc. Is this a standard UI component that I should be able to use, or will I have to imitate them by creating a custom object?
