    I have an Android app and I need to change UI dynamically: ex: when user presses a button, I want to change the current activity's views and, as in some cases there are a lot of views involved, I need to display a ProgressDialog. I have been using an AsyncTask, but I think that it is not the best solution, because AsyncTask's doInBackground runs a different thread, so I can't update UI from there - I have to use runOnUiThread, which runs the code in the UI Thread, but freezes the progress dialog that is shown. I guess there should be more people with similar issues, as updating UI while displaying a ProgressDialog seems to be something done regularly by applications. So does anyone have a solution to this?

    Hi guys, I'm using an Excel sheet to keep track of a particular time series (my daily weight, if you must know). I created a macro that inserts a row, automatically adds today's date and calculates a moving average based on my input. There is also a chart to visualize my progress. I have tried recording a macro that updates the time series in the graph, but to no success. How can I create a macro or VBA script that, when executed, updates the range of the graph from A(x):Cy to A(x-1):Cy to include today's measurement? Thanks!

    Every example I see of a series in a Silverlight chart fromt he toolkit has a binding for bothe IndependentValueBinding and DependentValueBinding. In my code I want a fixed axis for the categories (Independent) - so every value get's "X" perhaps. Is there a way to do this? Essentially I have ten bar series in one chart and I want them all to sit together. It seems silly to create a new class to hold them in just so I can add a string property for the axis name.

The ‘Open with Explorer’ tool bar is enabled, but I get the error: \siteurl\DavWWWRoot\document is not accessible. you might not have permission to use this network resource. Is the 'Open with Explorer' option available with FBA? If yes, what are the missing settings?

When I close an in app ad the actual ad itself has moved up 40 pixels and is mostly hidden behind the navigation bar. In addition all of my own content is shifted up 40 pixels. The addmob documentation is very limited so not much help there sadly.

    I've fixed my footer DIV to the bottom of the viewport as follows: #Footer { position: fixed; bottom: 0; } This works well if there isn't much content on the page. However, if the content fills the full height of the page (i.e. the vertical scroll bar is visible) the footer overlaps the content, which I don't wont. How can I get the footer to stick to the bottom of the viewport, but never overlap the content?

    Hi, I have need to communicate between two iframes of the same domain, which live inside a parent page on a different domain that I have no control over. This is a Facebook app and the basic layout is this apps.facebook.com/myapp L iframe1 (src='mysite.com/foo') L iframe2 (src='mysite.com/bar') I need frame1 to talk to frame2, but in Opera I can't access window.parent.frames['frame2'] to do the usual cross-domain methods (updating location.hash for example) Is there an alternate way to accomplish this in Opera?     I want to use Originate API of Asterisk to place an outbound call on a FXO channel, for testing purpose I am using X100P card and, as expected, card is not able to detect if the number is busy/ringing or when it is answered. I want to know which card should I use so that I can get such basic events ... I am not really interested in detailed call progress analysis for answering machine or live voice. I just need basic busy/ringing and answer events and maybe a dis-connect event. Thanks.
